My siblings and I stay in this same house when we make our annual trek for a family weekend in Blanco where our grandmother lived when we were growing up.
We love everything about this house. An added treat this year was the unseasonably cool weather. We always sit outside under that giant pecan tree no matter the weather. This year was especially enjoyable.
Lots to do in this little town. But mostly we hang out together, talk, smoke spareribs, and wind down from hectic lives.
You won't go wrong staying here.

This house is perfect! It has so much character and the decor is outstanding. Everywhere you turn the owners have thought of everything! Collection of outstanding antiques and art objects! I can now understand why you don’t allow children under 12. House is very well equipped for visitors. Thanks for a memorable stay!

This property is absolutely beautiful! The backyard area is perfect and overlooks the river: it rained on our trip, but there was still plenty to look at and do. The home is furnished with vintage items and plenty of plants and things to look at. It was fun to go from room to room checking everything out, We sat out back and talked to the geese, watched the birds, and just relaxed. Nearby there was a market day event to walk to. They have plenty of things to cook with and all sorts of spices, etc. We truly enjoyed every minute of our getaway.

Me and my siblings have an annual weekend I call "siblings weekend." We go to Blanco because our grandmother and some cousins lived there. We're not quite at ten years doing this but soon. We always rent this house. We love it.

After having stayed in vacation rentals ranging from a bedroom in a garage to a multi-million dollar house, this is absolutely the best place we’ve stayed! There are so many good things to say that I’d run out of space before running out of compliments.

This property is in a great location and is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking! I don’t think I fully processed that one of the rooms is accessible only from the outside. It can get warm up there if the heat is on at the main house! But still, I’d stay here again!

This house was fully stocked, roomy, comfortable and in a terrific location. Back gate opens into state park. Lovely walking trails along the river.

My husband, friends and I really enjoyed this house. In addition to being a great location (on river and walking distance to town center) the house itself is so lovely. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space to be together as a group as well as space to relax alone.
We all agreed that two nights wasn't long enough to enjoy this house and plan to book for longer next year. This one is a gem!

A perfect stay for our friends
This was such a lovely home! It's a beautifully restored and maintained historic home, with lots of places for us all to sit and visit both inside and out, in addition to a well-stocked kitchen, 2 bedrooms downstairs and a great loft upstairs with several beds. The owner was very responsive to our many questions and to support us while we were there. We also loved the area, to include a great spa, a castle winery in Johnson City, the Elephant Preserve near Fredericksburg and several great restaurants that were all a few blocks away. I would definitely go again!

Wonderful Location for Lavender Festival
We had a great time. The home is lovely with a sun porch to watch birds and a beautiful view of the river. The Lavender Festival was a very short walk from the house so the location couldn’t have been better. Susan was always quick to respond to questions and I really appreciated that.

Loved the home, loved the location
This home is beautifully decorated with antiques and Western pieces. The location is just a short block from the city Square shopping, and a few steps from the state park. The 3rd bedroom and second bathroom are accessible via an exterior staircase that my be a little steep for the elderly or very young, however there is a queen or king sized bed and 2 twin sized beds, with a small private bathroom with shower. The yard is fully fenced for your children or pets. A couple paddle boards and a couple kayaks are available. Susan is very responsive to questions and works hard to make your stay enjoyable. We look forward to staying again!

This was a very special and memorable vacation for my birthday celebration and Christmas time. The property owner, Susan, was so kind and extremely helpful with helping us plan our stay. We appreciated all her wonderful suggestions for great places to dine at and visit.
The house is so beautiful and comfy! Love everything about it! We were so happy to see it being like a home away from home, where everything we needed was available.
Kitchen has a great supply of spices, cooking utensils/pots/pans/slow cooker, etc. My son smiled when he found snacks in the kitchen.
The family room has very comfortable recliners/couch. We enjoyed the various channels on tv when relaxing indoors with the nice ceiling fan on.
We were thrilled to find the beds and pillows so comfortable for a good nights sleep.
The sunroom was another favorite spot in the house. It has an amazing view of the Blanco River.
The backyard was a huge hit for all of us, including our little dogs. Very spacious, lots of seating areas, great BBQ area, and cutely decorated for lots of great pics. There is a opening door on the back gate that takes you to the most scenic walking trails along the Blanco River. There are also 2 geese and 1 white duck that stick together and visited us like clockwork everyday, coming up to the back gate of the property….so cute!
The house is also located walking distance to the main square with lots of shops, restaurants and yummy gelato/coffee places.
This house is a gem! Excellent accommodations and a unique location being close to everything. It was so nice to plan leisurely days relaxing in the backyard and talking scenic walks in the park. Other days we went exploring the town of Blanco or other nearby areas in The Hill Country.
We are so thankful Susan shared her beautifully maintained and decorated home with us!

Girl's Getaway
Our second time staying at Riverview. It has become one of our favorite places for casual and relaxing Girl's Getaway trips with close friends. The bright and cheerful Sun Room is a natural gathering spot.

Great Location
This home is within walking distance of the Blanco Square and its shops and restaurants. The rooms at the rear of the house have a lovely view of the Blanco River and the grounds of Blanco State Park. The home is well equipped for cooking and has multiple sitting areas. The upstairs bedroom is accessed from fairly steep stairs on the exterior of the house. Since my companions and I are all over 75, we decided to not use that bedroom. Blanco and the surrounding area are well worth a visit.

We cannot say enough about this rental! We were comfortable and relaxed and hope to return soon. The kitchen was roomy and we enjoyed having a cooking class there!
