We had a great family stay in this very large house. Everything was very comfortable, except for the kitchen that is really old and the dinner table too small for 10.
The location is fantastic, a short walk to Orta and its restaurants and shops. The garden was very large and nice, even though we could not take full advantage of it because of the rain.

Lake Orta with its clear, warm water is an ideal family holiday spot, and Orta San Giulio is a lovely village that has managed to hold on to its authentic antiquity. A rare delight. And for a family of 8 with 3 children under ten, Stefano’s Terrace on the Lake was a happy find.
The villa is large and very comfortably appointed, communication with Stefano or his agents very pleasant and helpful. The villa is situated in the village so restaurants and cafes are a short stroll from the bottom of the very large garden. It occupies a slightly elevated position so the views are wonderful.
The only drawback was the lack of cloths drying facilities. One airing frame among 8 people proved most inadequate especially as we experienced some wet weather. However we discussed this with Stefano‘s agent and have no doubt that will be put to rights.
Overall a most delightful stay.
Thank you, Stefano.

We stayed for 6 nights in Belvedere and loved the location, terrace and gardens of the house. The living area is very nice and the layout of the house also. The only problem is that the bathrooms and kitchen are in serious need of some renovation. There is only a trickle of water in the showers and the bathrooms are just old and uninviting. The bed mattress in the downstairs room is also very hard and lumpy. The kitchen is functional and has all you need but also here, things are just old and run down.
The extra fee for Internet and bed linen and towels surprised me as I have never had that before. A little annoying as those really are necessities when renting a house.
We enjoyed our stay - in just a few minutes walking you are in the small town with shops and restaurants or you can jump in the lake for a swim (out of the gate at the bottom of the garden). The lake is gorgeous and there is plenty to do. Angela was very helpful - we lost power after a big storm but had it on again in no time.
I would recommend the house for the location and the terrace and living area, however if you are sensitive to bathrooms and bedrooms then lower your expectations.

We have rented dozens of VRBO places around the world over the past twenty-five years, and this may be the best one yet! The house was the perfect arrangement for our extended family group of nine (two couples and five kids ranging in age from 10 to 21). One family stayed upstairs and the other had the two downstairs bedrooms. There was plenty of living space for everyone. The kitchen is small but well-equipped and even has a dishwasher. Having three bathrooms was very convenient.
The views from the property are absolutely stunning, and the yard is enormous and beautiful. The proximity to the pedestrian path (right through the gate at the base of the property!) is divine—turn left and a five minute walk down an adorable cobblestone path takes you into the heart of Orta San Giulio, an idyllic little village with great restaurants, gelato shops, and a piazza with boat captains ready to take you out to the island (which we highly recommend—walking around the island is so picturesque and delightful). A right hand turn from the garden gate takes you to several docks where you can access the crystal clear water for a refreshing swim. You can continue on the path for quite a while, marveling at the gorgeous villas and the lush mountains.
Giorgio was fantastic—so friendly and accommodating. Such an easy and pleasant stay. We wish we could have stayed for a month!
We absolutely loved this place and hope to return! Can’t recommend it highly enough. Lake Orta is a hidden gem—uncrowded and gorgeous.

We made some holidays with all our familiy, children, grandchildren. We had a fantasctic stay in this beautiful house and park. A short walk to the lake for swimming, a short walk to the village for eating an ice cream. Everybody was happy.
Beds and kitchen are not the newest any more, but the ambiente of the house is very nice.

This was indeed one of those holidays where it is is hard to leave again. We stayed two families with 10 people totally and everyone enjoyed it. The view from the house and terrace is simply amazing with very easy access to the restaurants in the charming city of Orta San Giulio. Bathing in the lake is very close to the house and can only be recommended. Having a car supermarkets can be easily reached in both Pettenasco and Borgomanero.

Firstly, if you have never been to Lake Orta, put it in your travel plans as it is an amazing lake and Orta San Giulio is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. The village is incredible with beautiful little lanes, incredible restaurants and bars and amazing views over the lake. Its not well known compared to the bigger lakes, but is a true hidden gem. Its also very easy to get to from Milan airport (about 50 mins in the car).
This was our second visit to Orta and the Villa sits in a elevated position overlooking the lake in absolutely huge grounds. We stayed as two families - 4 adults and 4 children of 10yrs and below. It's a very short walk into the centre of the village. You can also walk out of the bottom gate and go swimming off the nearest boat jetty within 50m. The house is very spacious, clean with good facilities and has lots of character. It is very private and has ample parking which was a big plus. The kids loved it as it has a huge patio area overlooking the lake where they could play table tennis or run around the garden. There is also a play room inside. As a family we were able to eat outside every night with views of the lake and the setting sun. You could also amble into the village to have a drink at any of the bars. We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks on the patio at Hotel San Rocco, dinner at Café des Artists to name but a few. Evening dinner in the piazza while watching the world go by was also hard to beat!
Overall, our stay was fantastic and I would absolutely recommend the house as a great way to enjoy Orta while having access to a beautiful and very private home with great facilities. Orta is a very special place.
