About this house rental
A beachfront traditional house 90 sq. m. with an extra 100 sq. m. of terrace, built in 1834 , 5 min from the port, with a breathtaking panoramic view in the Saronic gulf and the nearby islands.
There are two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, a veranda with pergola and a peaceful terrace with flowers and a bbq, ideal for children to play.
Both the veranda and the terrace include a sitting area ideal for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The house is located in Kounoupitsa, on the 1st floor, right in front of the sea, 5 min from the port and Dapia.
It includes:
- Two bedrooms (one with double bed and one with two twin beds)
- A bathroom
- A fully equipped and functional kitchen (dish washing machine, washing machine, electrical cooker & oven, fridge, kitchen table etc).
- A living room/ dining room with fireplace and a dining table, TV, stereo/ CD player and a sitting area.
All rooms are spacious sun filled with the traditional architectural style of the 19th century.
The house can comfortably accommodate 4 people, but additional 2 people can sleep on divans, in the living room.
There is also a new solar boiler that provides hot water in a 24h basis.
It is ideal for relaxed, stress free vacations, as you enjoy the sunrise from the islands of Dokos or Hydra and the magical colors of the sky during the sunrise. You can enjoy the beach just below the house and visit the nearby taverns by the sea. Also really close (1 min by walking) there is a local mini-market, bakery and coffee shops.
Spetses is ideal for visit regardless the time of the year. Some of the events that you should not miss are Spetses Classic Yacht Race, Spetses Mini Marathon, Tweed Run Spetses and Spetses Triathlon. The most important event of the year however is the festival of Armata, which takes place on the second weekend of September, celebrating the Battle of Spetses during the revolution of 1821. Thousands of people every year are dazzled from the fireworks which are in perfect precision with the music!
Remember that cars are not allowed on the island, but Spetses is ideal for walking, while you can also rent a motorbike or even better a bicycle. For those who are more romantic, you can enjoy a ride with a horse carriage!

Restaurants and cafes on the doorstep, leisurely stroll (10minutes) along the seafront to The Dappia, beaches in both directions. We loved this house. Two terraces with sea views and that lovely wrought iron balcony looking out to sea. The house was spacious and very well appointed, feeling like a family home. In addition, the bathroom had been completely refurbished and modernised with a walk in shower, which wasn’t shown in the listing. Thankyou Mariana and your parents for a really special holiday.

Idyllic and relaxing
We stayed here last year and it was so good we had to return. It's position is unrivalled and the property has everything you might need. There is a massive rear terrace and a lovely sitting/dining area overlooking the sea and harbour. Overall it is like a home from home (with more sun) and makes you feel relaxed and refreshed. What more could you ask for? Restaurants and shops are all within a short walk (2 less than 50m away) so everything is very easy. I'm sure we will be returning again. Thank you Mariana (and her parents).

Charming seafront home
Only first floor of the house but spacious w large terrace in the back of the house. Small lovely pebbled beach 10 m from the door, good beach restaurants nearby. Situated in the outskirts of the town which gives you more privacy (except for the ubiquous scooters), Kind and helpful hosts. With a softer bed, we might return for lovely Spetses.

Spetses at it's best.
Mariana's charming family home is exactly as described with all the amenities you might need, which together with it's superb location just a few minutes from Dapia harbour, provides an unsurpassable holiday home destination.
There is a very large roof terrace as well as a lovely outside breakfasting/dining area overlooking the bay.
There is also a balcony off the main living room just metres from the shore - ideal for observing all the boat movements in and around the bay and harbour.
Altogether this home has all the advantages you might want and we had a lovely comfortable and relaxing stay.
We will be returning!

Fabulous Location and Island was relaxing experience
We stayed at Mariana's house right on the water's edge compete with a charming balcony and short 5 minute walk to the central port yet brilliantly private.
As we like to cook, the oven and generous fridge space were great, and opening out to a HUGE rear shady balcony was delightful.
There were lots of restaurant choices and a wine merchant Vinoterra nearby.
Two well appointed bedrooms each with seaview were comfortable. The lounge area was lovely and included CD player, modern TV with HDMI capablility.
In addition to the dining table overlooking the sea, there was a side verandah perfect for late afternoons.
The bathroom has a washing machine which we made good use of for ourselves and two friends.
Our host left us fruits and treats which made us feel so welcome.
We are already missing our home away from home.
