About this house rental
This fantastic property houses 5 bedrooms, sleeping up to 12 guests (max 10 adults plus 2 children) and is pet friendly (*charges apply).
Lovely lawned garden with patio to enjoy outdoor dining. This property also has an outdoor shower, board storage and hot tub (*charges apply). Hartland View is close to the beach & the village amenities.
Dining/Cooking
The kitchen/diner is well equipped with a large oven, hob, dishwasher, an american style fridge freezer and a dining table with chairs seating up to 10 guests. French doors lead out to the side of the property.
Living
The main living area and snug area both provide flat screen TV's with Sky. The snug also has use of a DVD player. A sofa bed can be found in the snug, sleeping up to 2 people. The main lounge has French doors leading out to the patio and garden. There is a separate 'children's snug area' upstairs which has bean bags, TV, DVD player and Wii console (there is a stair gate at the top of the stairs)
Sleeping
There are 5 bedrooms in total, to the ground floor there are two double rooms and one bunk room which is a single bed over a double bed and to the first floor there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom.
Bathing
There is a family bathroom downstairs with bath, his & hers sinks and a separate walk in shower plus a shower room off the utility area which houses a washer/dryer. Upstairs there is a further family bathroom with shower attachment.
Outside
The lovely enclosed, lawned garden provides the perfect space for children and dogs to play and explore, there is a large terrace with outdoor table and chairs and a coal BBQ, as well as the new, large Hot Tub (additional charge). A useful outdoor shower area with board storage and wetsuit drying area is located tothe side of the property and there is driveway parking for 2 vehicles to the front, additional vehicles will need to be parked in the village car park which is approx. a 5-10 minute walk and daily/weekly passes can be purchased.

BOOKING INFORMATION
Please note that you are booking via an external channel and not directly through Ocean Cottages, therefore any information not provided directly from Ocean Cottages cannot be fully relied upon and pricing may differ. Please check payment and cancellation terms prior to confirming your booking.
There is a refundable security deposit of £100 payable with the final balance (not applicable to Airbnb bookings) - please note this will not be shown in the total cost of the booking on the summary screen. The security deposit is refunded within 14 days of departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection)
Full payment is due if arrival is within 10 weeks. For bookings made 10+ weeks in advance a deposit of 50% plus the £60 non-refundable booking fee is due. The final balance and security deposit (if applicable) is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival.
For Bookings confirmed with VRBO, Ocean Cottages will take your payment prior to confirming your booking, this could be up to 72 hours after receiving your confirmation from VRBO. If we are unable to accept your booking, we will contact you as soon as possible. Airbnb take payment on our behalf and pay us after your stay, they will confirm the dates and amounts due when you make your booking.
It is not possible to add any extras when booking via VRBO/Airbnb and therefore the costs of any extras will not be included within the price shown, extras must be requested and paid for directly with Ocean Cottages.

Fantastic location
The location of the property is spot on. Close walk to the beach and a short drive to surrounding areas woolacomb and Ilfracombe. The pub nearby the thatch serves fantastic food also. The well equipped kitchen was a little disappointing with hobs on the oven not working, no potatoes masher and a very old can opener. I do feel the stock list needs updating. A but of general updating is needed also. All the downstairs bedroom door handles are falling off which doesn't make for an easy quiet exit when the babies had been out down to bed. However it didn't shadow over the fantastic trip we had

Weekend break at Hartland View
7 of us and 2 dogs stayed here for a 50th birthday and had a great time.
The house is great and very well considered.
The decor is lovely and the beds very comfortable.
Everything is well equipped. The hot tub is a great extra and was well used.
We all had surfing lessons so the outside shower came in very handy.
Great location, really enjoyed our stay.
