About this cottage rental
Fuzzy Duck Cottage is a pretty traditional cottage, approximately 120 years old, situated in the centre of the thriving village of Heacham. The rental costs shown are for up to 4 people using the cottage. However, the cottage does have a 3rd bedroom with bunk beds which can be used for an extra fee. Please ask for details.
Within close walking distance of all the village amenities and a 15 minute walk to the beach, the cottage provides an ideal base for a holiday in North Norfolk. The accommodation has been carefully refurbished to a very high standard throughout. Real fire ideal for cosy nights in.. A selection of videos are also available, plus a number of board games. Large enclosed rear garden with BBQ & nicely appointed Summer House. The cottage is always spotlessly clean & a generous welcome pack greets all guests. We also have a travel cot & high chair. We have stair gates at both the top & bottom of the open staircase. There are 3 bikes in the garden shed - whilst these are not part of the cottage rental - you are very welcome to use them, but you so at your own risk.
Walking distance from 3 pubs that all serve good food, 1 traditional butchers, 2 x Fish and Chip Shops. For lovers of continental food, the village also offers an Indian & Chinese Restaurant. Heacham also offers a Tesco Express & Lidl store for your everyday essentials. Hunstanton (5 min drive) has "full-blown" Tesco/Sainsburys.
For golfers there's a number of fine golf courses within close proximity, including Heacham Manor.
For those that love wild life, its not unusual to see seals swimming from the beach, with seal trips also available in nearby Blakeney. Heacham is also ideally suited for bird watching being only a short distance from a number of brilliant nature reserves (Titchwell/Snettisham). There are 3 sets of (old) binoculars in cottage.
For those with younger children/teenagers there's the funfair at Hunstanton.
Hopefully our reviews of the cottage speak for themselves!
Generally our change over days are Saturday to Saturday - but during less busy periods we are happy to discuss other days.
If we've missed anything in the above, we are only too happy to answer any question or provide additional photos. Please don't hesitate to get in touch.
PARKING:
We often get asked about this, parking is on the road outside the cottage, as its a very quiet road this is never an issue and if you can't get directly outside the front door, there's always ample spaces to the left of the cottage. As you will see from our reviews parking is not an issue. Hope this helps.

As my little boy said as we walked in , Wow.
It was a lovely place to stay, so homely and tidy. Every convenience you can think of was there, from air fryer, to a safety pin ( to change the sim in my phone ) it was exquisitely quiet, parking straight outside and the neighbours were nice. Everything was a 10 minute trip away !! Many thanks to Dave and Helen who were great hosts . We wont hesitate to return ..

Cottage lovely and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed sitting in the garden and summerhouse after our daily outings. So many things to do and to see in the area. Good excuse to return and we would love to stay in this fabulous cottage again. Great communication with owners. Had a wonderful break.

The only complaint I have is that I did not book the cottage for a longer period. Everything was perfect and David & Helen are the nicest and most thoughtful hosts you can hope for. Thank you.

Fuzzy Duck
Everything we needed was at the cottage. Hosts were very generous in leaving extras such as foil and cling film in the kitchen. Garden was lovely to sit in in the evening as the weather was so good for our stay. I have already recommended it to a friend who wants a cottage at the coast and she is planning on booking it.

Seasoned VRBO travellers
It’s definitely one we would come back to so the odd things we found fault with are not material enough to detract from that or even take up with the owner (let’s face it wherever you go there is always something!). Well equipped, quiet, safe, always able to park, a lovely stay and would definitely book again as a sound base for this wonderful area.

Easter Break
A wonderful week in a beautiful cottage. We were really lucky with the weather and spend our time exploring the coastal path and nearby villages. There were so many fantastic pubs to choose from, incredible food at every stop. Dave and Helen are great hosts, clear instructions for arrival and departure. The bountiful welcome basket was an unexpected treat. We will be recommending the Fuzzy Duck.

Lovely cottage
Fuzzy Duck is a very comfortable cottage with everything you could ever need and owner quick to respond to any queries. Unfortunately, because of the petrol situation, we had to conserve fuel for journey home and so were limited with our exploring . We had many long walks though and used the buses which were always bang on time. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this friendly area.

Fuzzy Duck Cottage
A delightful little cottage, with everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. The garden is also a beautiful space to spend time, we thoroughly enjoyed our game of boules in the evening, with a glass of wine which was in the welcome pack. All together a special little place, within reach of many coastal towns and villages, always something new to discover.

nice breakaway
The property was very clean, and comfortable
was like home from home. Had a lovely welcome pack. The village is very quiet, and had 2 great pubs and take away places.
Has a lovely garden, a bit strange having a connecting gate to next door, for the bins to be emptied. And the lady next door not very friendly, but the man who lives next door but one, was very nice. Has lovely beaches close by and a fantastic beach and shops in hunstanton ,,,overall a pleasant stay

Cosy cottage
Fuzzy duck cottage is one of the nicest properties we have stayed in. It had everything and more that we needed and we loved coming back to the open fire after a long walk on Holkham Beach. The property was spotlessly clean and really felt like home from home. Lovely little touches like the welcome pack and plenty of films and games available to watch and use for our Cosy nights in. We sampled many of the local pubs and restaurants but our favourite was called the Gin Trap in Ringstead just 3 miles away from the property and definitely worth a visit. Lots of local deli’s and fish mongers nearby which we used daily. We will be definitely coming back to Fuzzy Fuck cottage and the owners Dave and Helen were very helpful and provided us with lots of useful information prior to our stay. We had a really lovely week.
