Great downtown location, but overpriced

The location close to the pedestrian mall was great, the staff friendly and cleanliness impeccable.

The air-conditioning kept turning on with a huge sound at around 6.30 both mornings when we were hoping to sleep late. It would turn on several times over the course of the hour between 6.30-7.30 and then stop. We told staff who asked the maintenance to look into it but frankly it ruined two mornings of well needed rest for which we had booked the hotel in the first place. Breakfast was a joke, not a fresh or healthy item in sight. The price was far too expensive for the overall quality and facilities. The pool was very cold.

Great location for a fair price; Loved having the kitchen.

The pillows and mattress were comfortable and the room was large and tastefully decorated. The tv was large and swiveled easily from the seating area to the bed. The shower was clean and the water was very hot. The kitchenette was great and hat all necessities.

The room was a little dirty in spots that go unnoticed. The baseboard under the kitchenette had food on it and the carpet areas had a lot of debris near the baseboards and next to the dressers. There was only one towel regular towel but 2 hand towels and 2 washcloths for a room that had 2 queen beds.

Great spot for a UVA visit!

Never stayed at this chain before but it was great! Very clean and up to date decor, lots of space in the room and comfortable beds. Would definitely stay at one of these again!

Doubtful we would stay again

Clean, excellent location, love the amenities offered. Big room with great access and comfy beds.

Air conditioner broke, heat on full blast when arrived. Staff said someone would come form maintenance and he never did. She said she would look and never said anything after she did. Couldn't sleep because of how hot it was in the room and no air circulation. Non attentive staff, no one even present at check out for the 3 couples waiting in lobby.

Comfy in Charlottesville

The staff was friendly; the hotel is walkable to the Downtown Mall, which made exploring a lot easier. The complimentary breakfast was great (and much needed). I only got to stay for one night but next time I'm in Charlottesville, I'll be sure to stay at the Home2!

Great location, clean room

If you put multi-use containers in the shower, it only helps if they have products actually in them! Both were empty. No sugar packets in kitchen area for tea/coffee, only artificial sweeteners. Very overpriced for what we got. Didn't appreciate having to "join" Hilton club to get free Wi-Fi. What a rip off ....

Overall our stay there was great, we really enjoyed it and would stay again.

Staff was fantastic and friendly, nice looking hotel, decor and good breakfast.

The night we stayed a Thunder storm hit which meant we were no longer out for the evening and returned to our room only to discover we also had no tv to watch as this is satellite television. We have Direct Tv at home and switched to streaming it instead of the dish and that issue goes away. I heard many other guests complain about it as well. You should probably change that. There’s alternative options these days, why keep something that doesn’t meet your guests expectations?

1 night stay after visit to Monticello

Very nice suites, more suitable for longer stays, I stayed here because it was walking distance to the night life. Can get a personal microwavable l pizza from the front desk and cook it in your room if you're like me.

My room's AC/fan didn't work unfortunately, I like to sleep in a very cold room with the fan on. Luckily I was there before it was hot out. I'm sure I would have complained if it wasn't comfortable in the room.

Very good

Location was perfect--proximate to downtown where I was working. I really liked the curtain in the room that separated the bed from the rest of the space and made the door and any light from the hall invisible, and the shades on the window were also extremely effective. Bed was quite comfortable.
