Clean and cozy. Good taste in interior and equipment. This house was like a secret hideaway in Kamakura.

It was clean, stylish, and well stocked. The owners informed us when the property was ready for us to check in, which was a couple of hours before check-in time. They also responded to my questions very quickly. Their website/blog were packed with helpful information, and the nespresso + milk steamer were a nice bonus (wish we brought the capsules!). The patio was also nice, but note: it is very close to the other homes. We wish we could stay more than one night!
If you’re not used to the narrow streets of Kamakura, it can be a little stressful driving up to the property but totally doable. Kamakura-gū was only a short walk away, which was nice. Kamakura Station and the beaches are 10-15+ drive away, but if you want to stay in a quiet residential neighborhood, this is a perfect property!

It's close to hiking paths.
It's a bit far from the center on foot. Parking lot is too small for common cars, we had to use pay parking for three weeks.
Wi-Fi / Internet is not strong, only works in the second floor where the router is.

We loved staying in this Japanese home. It is very clean, nicely laid out, well-organized, and pleasantly decorated. The neighborhood is very quiet and the beds were great so we slept well all four nights of our stay. There were very detailed instructions left on how to use the A/C, water heater (for the Japanese style bathtub), etc, so we had no trouble with details like that.
There are many delicious places to eat within a 15-20 minute walk (or short taxi ride)---but be aware that most Kamakura restaurants shut down early (typical hours are maybe 11 to 5). When we went out for dinner at 6pm on our first night in Kamakura (a Friday) all the food options on even the main, most touristy street were closed! We were able to buy snacks (onigiri, yakitori, etc) at the Family Mart to tie us over till the next day and simply ate our main meals early on the three following days.
There is also a great little produce market within a 10-minute walk so we also stocked up on fruit (they have the most delicious fruit in Japan!) to have when we got hungry late or early.
