Guests enjoyed the spacious house, convenient location near the lake, and the welcoming host who even provided amenities like fresh fruit and prosecco. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay.

My family of 7 really enjoyed our stay. All but one bedroom are upstairs so plan on stairs. We were able to walk to many places including the train and bus stations. About 22 minutes. There is a bus stop within 4 minutes of the property. Wish there had been fans in the place as it could get pretty warm during the day. It cooled off nicely at night thankfully. Many extra amenties. Gentleman was nice but speaks very little English. But we were able to communicate well enough. I would stay here again if we were to go back.

Fantastic house. Exceeded expectations and host was above and beyond accommodating. Only down side is it’s about a 35-40 minute train ride from Munich, so be aware if you are planning to spend time there. However the surrounding community and lake is beautiful so we’ll worth staying around there. Highly recommend if you are planning a stay in Bavaria!

The house is quite large and wonderfully decorated. There is parking access direct to the house through the underground garage. There is a bakery, butcher, and vegetable stand within easy walking. A small park near the water is very close by and with a slightly longer walk you can reach the ships, train station (for direct trains to Munich), and a small playground for children.
You may be asked for a deposit. My entire deposit was returned to me without issue. The house is very nice with nice furniture, which is why there is a need for a deposit, but if you do not break anything then you will get your deposit back in full.
My family and I stayed a month, but enjoyed the house so much we stayed an additional month. We would have stayed longer if we could.
I highly recommend this property for a vacation along the Starnberger Lake near Munich.

Leading up to the stay, Eckhard responded quickly. He arranged for Rita to check us in and she was lovely. We had her number, but she did not respond to any messages on the day prior to and of our departure.
The house is nicer and roomier than the pictures indicate. There are a few stairs from the underground garage to the bedrooms, so get your luggage out before entering the car park, if necessary. Plenty of hot water. We were 7 adults - 3 couples + 1 single and no one had a cold shower. There is a washer, dryer and a dishwasher.
There are great restaurants nearby and we found walking to either train station easy (about 15/20 mins), although Starnberg has the express train to Pasing and Munich Central go through each hour and parking. You need the S6 for Oktoberfest. The group all day ticket is the cheapest to purchase. It is for up to 5, so we bought 2.
The town of Starnberg is very pretty.
We enjoyed our time in Eckhard’s house and would recommend it to anyone.

The house is very nice and clean. We enjoyed how close it was to the lake and within walking distance to restaurants, shops and a bakery. We had a great time and it was very comfortable.

A group of us coming to Germany for the combination of going to Oktoberfest and seeing the local sites found this home and it worked out perfectly. The access to the train station was a quick 15-20 walk and there were fast 17 to 20 minute trains to Munich.
Being right off the lake with an abundance of restaurants and amazing views was perfect for us. The house has a large kitchen and a large living space. Thanks for a great stay and we would highly recommend this house to anyone going to be in the Munich or Starnberg area.

We loved our stay in this well equipped comfortable house. Ekhard met us at his place and was extremely helpful and accessible throughout our visit. Whether you want to relax by the lake or visit nearby cities by train, the apartment is just perfect!

The house was really spacious, and its location is very good, as it is very near to the lake, and also near to the center of the city ( you can walk there). The house is big enough and has a very nice outdoor garden. The rooms were cosy and most importantly it had cupboards for the clothes, but two of the rooms didn’t have it which wasn’t very helpful. All in all the house is very good for a big famliy.

We could not speak more highly of our experience at this gorgeous house. The owner is extremely responsive and friendly. He left us fresh fruit, cold mineral water and prosecco. Lovely touch. The house is in a fantastic location - truly a 5 minute walk from the fantastic beach in Berg. We were 6 people and very comfortable. The owner bought beach towels for our stay specifically. The house had everything we could have wished for - ample relaxing space in the living room, a table and chairs outside for outdoor dining, anything you could need in the kitchen. We were extremely pleased and will try to rent the same house again, if we vacation on the Starnbergersee again.
