We were a group of five seniors. We had to share one bedroom, as the fourth one in the basement was damp and musty-smelling.
It would have been nice to have had a ventilation fan in the bathroom.
Overall, the place was nice.

We enjoyed the spacious cottage located in a beautiful and serene area, with swimming beach a short distance away. Very convenient location to travel to Tobermory, Lionshead, Wiarton, etc.

Our stay was wonderdul here. Cottage is located close to a shallow public beach access, really just a few minutes walk away. Very quiet place, backyard backs into a woody area. We saw beautiful fireflies during our time around the campfire. Kitchen has everything we needed. Would definitely rent this cottage again.

Perfect place for both adults and kids to relax and eat after a long day enjoying what Tobermory has to offer. Kitchen well equipped. Management company responsive.

Very enjoyable stay at the cottage with 7 friends. The cottage had beds for 8 guests, but can easily accommodate many more as there were air mattresses, sleeping bags and couches. All facilities were good just some minor maintenance required. Very conveniently located: near Tobermory, Grotto trails, Lionshead,...
Would definitely return in the future.

With lots of toys and stuff
You don't need anything except can opener: 😉
Good access to all attraction around Tobermory

loved the location and setup at this cottage, remote and quite, . We definitely enjoyed the peace and quiet on the back deck and fire pit. except for the fans in the bedrooms need replacement.

Except for the floor of one shower that was so slick it was difficult to stand (but could be cured by a bath mat), everything was very nice.

McIvor Getaway is a well designed and appointed rental. We really enjoyed:
a. The large open concept kitchen (with 2nd small beverage fridge), dining and living area.
b. The large front porch and back deck.
c. The great fire pit area
d. The easy access to all areas in the Bruce Peninsula as well as beach (Larson’s Cove), and shoreline rocky beaches close to the cottage
Advertisement should have stated that renters bring linens and towels. Some minor supplies like dish soap and TP we needed to supply, - the manager did say they would reimburse costs but it is inconvenient.

Just a quick weekend getaway, but loved the location and setup at this cottage (which was clean and exactly as described). We definitely enjoyed the peace and quiet on the back deck and fire pit. Lots to see and do in the area too!!

Excellent correspondence during booking process. Plenty of useful information provided.
Nice location. Tucked away. Close to water. In between Lion's Head and Tobermory.
Spacious cottage. Good layout. Well-equiped kitchen. Warm and cozy.

The layout was terrific for our family, there were items there that were great to have for our younger family members, walk to the beach was very short and such a beautiful area. Great walkout basement option for the days that we had rain, worked for all ages. Close to many great spots if we felt like driving. Overall, very good but cleanliness was an issue. Main items like floors and toilets were clean, but the fans were filled with spiderwebs and top cupboard covered with webs and dust, as a couple of examples. We would go back again as we enjoyed it, but would ask for a deep clean first.

cottage is nice, big and spacious. the only downfall is not being able to use the man made beach across the street, but we were able to find many beaches to drive too

Beautiful cottage, very spacious, 3 bedrooms on the main floor and one at the basement. Very clean and well maintained. Lots of kitchen tools, props, equipment to use. Location is really nice, remote and quite, very close to Singing Sands beach, Tobermory. We checked two water accesses within short walking distance: nice area but with small rocks, make sure you bring your water shoes, great for kayaking. Due to short visit we did not check any grocery options but the owners provided few options in the area. Overall very enjoyable experience. Stayed with company of 4, end of June 2018.
