Welcome to paradise. Casa Corona welcomes you to a unique living experience in modern surroundings with nature at your doorstep.. The round 350 m2 house resides on a 25000m2 secluded and exclusive property at 700 m alltitude.
This tourist complex consists of a approved tourist rental house (Alojamiento Extra Hotelera en el Medio Rural EMR-38-5-0000014) with a capacity of 9 people and a Casa Vacational (Entregado a Probar) with a capacity of 5 People. Casa Corona can be joined with other nearby houses to create room for more guests. Just ask
The house is situated on the north west coast of La Palma just 1km away from Tijarafe town (that has most of the things you need for day to day living) . The sunny west coast of La Palma gets comfortable temperatures (from 15-35 degrees Celcius, 20 average) all year around and gets the most amazing and stunning sunsets. Sometimes fruits from the gardens are ripe and you can pick different fruits. Many months of the year flowers and green grass covers the entire property.
The main house can house up to 9 people comfortably, in 3 bedrooms, the house has 4 (including the rear Apartment) bedrooms yet the next door pool house has 2 extra bedrooms. The pool house is empty when it is not needed). The house has 3 high quality floor heated bathrooms and one bathroom has a whirlpool with chroma therapy and massage programs.
High speed Internet (up to 20 Mbits) Flatscreen satelite TV, Bluray / DVD, HIFI stereo, and personal stereo systems in many rooms form a natural part of the house. The huge glass roof floods the house with natural light and heat all year round and can easily be regulated with the retractable sun roof. At night the stars, and the moon can be inspected from within the house. The house also possesses a 100 m2 roof terrace with 360 degrees views, and a large court yard with parking for many cars. There is a gas Barbeque next to the house. Children younger than 2 years old stay for free in Casa Corona. Firewood and heating, pool heating is of course part of the Price.
The property consists of three Units, the House, the Pool House and the Apartment. The Apartment with a private access, terrace, bathroom and kitchen. It also enjoys a outdoor Hot-Tub with views of stars and ocean. The usage of the Apartment is included in the price from 12 Guests. With less then 12 guests the Apartment can be rented extra for 50 Euros per night. The Apartment is great if some in the group wish some extra privacy and Luxury.
The 200m2 pool area has a heated (24-28 degrees Celsius) 8 x 4 meter salt water pool that makes it very easy to enjoy life. Pool heating costs and Villa heating is included in the price. Next to the Pool you will find the outdoor Sauna House with seating for 6 people. There is also a ping pong table by the pool for those family tournaments.The Pool house has a built in cave that enjoys a private access to the pool area. This cave is perfect for meditation, afternoon naps and is the best sleeping room on the whole estate (if you ask me). Clients have access to this cave although they do not use the pool house for extra sleeping space.

Two houses with everything you need for a perfect holiday. Lots of space in the upper house. Large bedrooms, large kitchen, perfect pool and an astonishing view over the sea from the terrace. You won't find a better place.

The villa is located at the end of a rural road near the top of a hill. It is a bit of a challenge to get all the way up the road by car, but it is definitely worth the effort. Once you´ve arrived uphill, the views over the ocean and the woods are unique. The design of the villa creates light and views from any angle. Francisco, who manages the property locally, gave us very helpful instructions before and when we arrived, and he is your best guide for the island, always available for any troubleshooting if needed. Be ready to live surrounded by nature, there are plenty of lizards (La Palma has its own unique species of lizard) and birds in the garden. If you want to live the island of la Palma, and relax in a beautiful natural environment we absolutely recommend this property.

This was our first time to the Canaries and we specifically wanted a quiet retreat to relax and rejuvenate. Villa Corona was a perfect fit for us. All the lovely spaces inside and out to enjoy, the ambiance and of course the view is truly amazing. Our beds were super cozy and extent of amenities available in the house were more than we could hope for. This place is a gem to rent. Martin and Fransisco were very easy and responsive to communicate with and the lovely little town of Tirajafe offered all we needed for food, beverages, etc. We found a couple of delightful restaurants close by to enjoy as well. We ventured to the top of the Volcano on a spectacular day - well worth the drive. Then we ventured into Santa Cruz where we lucked out and had lunch at Parilla i Los Braseros - a must go treasure of a place. We also made it to Porto Tazacorte one afternoon and feasted on a local freshly grilled seafood entry featuring 3 types of fish - that was out of this world - YUM We are just thrilled we made the trip and we would gladly return.

My husband, 17 year old son and I stayed at Villa Corona for 5 days and wished we had more time there! We were amazed at how much the surroundings reminded us of Colorado in the US. The house is beautiful and was perfect for 3 people, despite its size. This would also be a perfect house for a large group. The kitchen was excellently stocked and we made dinner nightly at the villa. The surroundings are beautiful....if you love nature and hiking it is the perfect villa. The pool was fabulous, even on days when the mist almost covered the sun. Francisco, the caretaker, was extremely helpful and always available. We loved our surprise bottle of cava and flowers on arrival. We loved Villa Corona and hope to return one day!

We were a group of thirteen friends and family spending Christmas and the New Year in La Palma. Villa Corona is exceptionally beautiful, well equipped and spacious. Our group was mix of ages with different needs and interests and there was plenty of space for everyone including lots of quiet corners to read, reflect and enjoy the view and tranquillity of the location. There are many choices in the vicinity for recreation and sightseeing including snorkelling and scuba diving, hiking and walking, mountain biking, visiting the local farmers market in Punta Gorda and visiting Los LLanos which is nearby and which is a very pleasant little town with many artisan shops and good restaurants. Tijarafe is a colourful small village with plenty of shops and restaurants and with the spacious kitchen in the villa, cooking at home was for us always the first choice. Villa Corona is surrounded by orange orchards, and fragrant herbs such as rosemary, mint and thyme and one finds also avocados, pomegranates, lemons and apples. We would literally make breakfast from what was available around the villa. There is also exceptionally nice local yogurt made from goats milk that you will find in the shops. Fransesko is the housekeeper who was always at hand if needed but otherwise villa Corona is a very private place. We hope to have the opportunity to visit this beautiful place again. We were delighted with every aspect of our stay at Villa Corona. All our questions to Martin were answered immediately and Francisco and Bettina took great care of us during our stay. The beds are comfortable, the main house is very spacious, the kitchen is well equipped, and the grounds are well tended. It is even better than the photos suggest. Highly recommended!

Villa Corona is the most wonderful and peaceful home in Tijarafe, La Palma. We had the most stunning, restful time.
The design of the house is incredibly clever with the roof perfectly accessible for telescopes and star gazing. The perfect place from which to take photos of the skies. The house is at the top of the mountain, the highest home in that road, about a kilometre up from the main road, and is therefore absolutely perfect for light pollution free evenings and nights. Lying on the roof and watching the stars with our children was simply stunning. The back of the house looks onto pine forests and the front over the ocean. It is spacious, comfortable and luxurious. A fantastic find. We looked a long time for the right house!
We can highly recommend Villa Corona and if you are as blessed as we were, you might even have the Corona Borealis overhead during your stay!
Thank you to the fabulous housekeeper and his wife, the 'salt of the earth and nothing is a problem', truly wonderful folk. You made our stay relaxed and we appreciate all you did and had to do for us.
Martin, you have a gem of a home. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy it for two weeks.

Thanks to my daughter and her huband - newly wed -and wanted to spend their honeymoon in your house not only that after having been alone for 5 days they invited me the mother age 87 to come and join them for a stay - ok we also brought with us their 3 years old son STEINARR BREKI together . Long travel - leaving home at 05.00 - arriving Teneriffe at 15.00 - 6 hour flight- we stayed in Teneriffe overnight and took the the ferry with Fredrich Olsen the day after. After ca 3,5 hour sail we finally reached LA PALMA . HAFFI and SIGGA welcomed us at the harbour and then we had about 45 min drive up to this amazingly beautiful villa. Many winding roads but I am surpriced at how many times my 3 years old grandson just said ohh how beautifull - grandma look see this tree etc......... Arriving at the VILLA was just unbelievable - the colours and the design well all the architecture which opened in front of your eyes was amazing and hard to breath in - it was just astonishing beautiful - here high up in this mountain there is this paradise . Not only outside
but alos inside everything is beautifully designed - harmony of colors outside as well as inside. Well the arcitecture for this VILLA must surely have received many rewards for the designing of this house. We prepared many good dinners -both grilled outside and cooked inside - we brought some salted fish from Iceland which is good to enjoy in this warm temerature and Hafsteinn bought some juicy beefsteaks for the grill. The price you pay for the meat, vine , bear etc is just 1/3 of what we have to pay for here in Iceland.

I and my husband went to this beautiful place on our honeymoon. We had been searching for a perfect place for a whole year to spend our honeymoon before we found Martin’s villa. We were both sure that this was the place when we saw the pictures. I can assure you that this villa is even more of a paradise than it looks like in the pictures. We were so amazed by the beauty of this property and everything around it. We felt like we were in paradise. The sea view is just amazing and then it's the view on the roof in the evening where you can see the stars, it’s just unbelievable. And just to say, everything was just spotless and so perfectly clean! But everything about this property was just amazing! We really love to cook and this kitchen is just perfect compare to everything we have seen in rental. Martin was so kind to us and always respond to our email right away and even with our special demands. And Francisco, well he is just the kindest person we have ever met and just made our stay even more perfect. This was the best honeymoon we could dream about and we will never forget it. We even invited my mother and grandmother (who is 87 years old) for the last days and they came with our 3 years old son. We are so happy and thankful that we did, because to spend a holiday with the people we love in a paradise, such as this, that memory will always stay in your mind forever. We would had stayed longer but it was already booked. So we went to Tenerife and stayed a week longer. But nothing compares to Villa Corana! Thank you so much Martin and Francisco for EVERYTHING. We will defiantly come back and looking forward to see Fransisco again.
