It was very clean and tidy. Amazing location. Lots of walking routes from the front door and plenty of shops, restaurants and take aways nearby.
That we couldn't stay for longer

spacious, homely, comfortable - a beautiful cottage.

Pretty and comfortable cottage in a lovely location with everything we needed and plenty of space. Parking space and also some welcome treats which were a lovely touch!
Great location within a few minutes drive of nice pubs and other areas such as eyam and bakewell. Reallygood value for money and the host provided up-to-date and clear instructions for check in and out.
The only thing was the low hung lamp above the top bunk next to the ladder made it difficult but everything else was spot on.

The house is beautiful and spacious with a little brook running behind it where we cooled our feet after a hot day. The furniture was all comfortable, and the rooms comfy and large. It's very convenient for access to a good local supermarket (small but with a good range of the basics, and nice cakes and bread) and cafe in Calver, a great local pub (The Moon just across the road), great fish and chip shop, and Indian. We could also walk to Eyam from the cottage through the fields. Thank goodness there was a washing machine there, with washing liquid pods provided, and we could hang clothes on a rack in the 'garden' to dry.
We struggled to find the cottage initially as we drove into The Nook, which is at the back of the cottages, and there's no indication there that you're in the right place (albeit not in the private car park). A neighbour hadn't heard of the cottage, so we ended up leaving and driving to "Main Road" (the B6001) which is listed as the address, and where there's a Coachman's House. However, totally wrong. We were sent an aerial photo by the host in advance showing the location, which might have helped, if we'd remembered we had it. When we did eventually find it, it was a pleasant surprise - beautiful, large, and comfortable. It's not as quiet as it might be, as large lorries drive past during the night, and the kitchen could have had a few more implements to make home cooking easier, but overall, this was a lovely cottage.

Quaint cottage.
Really good location.

The cottage is delightful, cute , very clean and lovely decor. It was equipped well enough for our stay.
The location is great and v close to a pub( the Moon Inn) , a farm shop ( open in the morning )and 10mins walk to a SPA shop and another pub . We'd definitely stay again in the area .
Heads up- the bedrooms have original wooden shutters and single pane glass, so if you are a light sleeper , take earplugs and eye mask . Beds were v comfortable and linen beautiful.
Communication with owner easy, prompt and helpful. I'd highly recommend.

Was a fantastic stay in a beautiful cottage

A lovely period cottage in beautiful countryside, great location, good parking and tastefully decorated. Very quick response by the owner.
There were a few minor issues - it wasn’t always user friendly in places, the en suite in the master bedroom didn’t have a mirror, or a plug anywhere near a mirror in the bedroom.
In the third bedroom with the bunk beds, there was no small table or lamps.
The kitchen was generally well equipped but there was no grill or frying pan.
Having said that, these are only minor issues, we had a lovely stay and would happily return.

All facilities
Purely personal and hardly a criticism but the high quality quilts proved too hot for me in September.

Plenty of space and kitchen was well equipped
Bunk bed had a broken step on the ladder

Incredible living room and great all round facilities.
The pillows on the beds were quite uncomfortable

Spacious cottage and outdoor area.
Everything necessary for comfortable self catering was there.
Excellent communication with owner
Duvets and covers in main room and twin room weren't terribly comfortable- plastic duvet protectors in twin room very hot and noisy!!

The location was excellent and the size of the property with good outdoor space
No mirror over the sink in the en suite bathroom

We loved our stay - thank you for all the lovely little touches. It is a great size and decorated beautifully. Fresh milk in fridge for an arrival cuppa was much appreciated! Very peaceful living room which was a good size. Will definitely return — excellent.
Very minor, and it wouldn't effect us returning, but the plastic covering on the duvets wasn't the most comfortable. Is there a different way the duvet could be protected?

Very clean - cosy cottage - great location

Lovely location. Nice layout. Comfy lounge. Great communication from Louise.
The property was not very clean. Lots of spiders and webs. Dead spiders in drawers etc. Bathroom was particularly dirty.
