U cant call it hotel, nor u can call Veenu as owner of hotel, it was basically like a home for us for three days of our stay and Veenu was like a friend of a family member, I mean which hotel owner ask u if u got taxi or not and have boarded bus safely or not even after u have checked out. We did not a slightest of chance to complain about anything about Himalaya cottage, it is located at prime location near Beas river and u can enjoy mountain and beas from your room and enjoy meal sitting at your gallery, 200% valuee for money, thanks Veenu for making our first trip in mountain a wonderful tour

Its an excellent budget option for staying in old manali especially if one wants a basic, clean place with great views of the valley. The only slight negative is that one has to climb about 50-60 steps to reach the property and therefore, might be a problem for people who have an issue with climbing stairs. However, i was extremely happy about the fact that the owner of the property had called me in advance and checked that the steps wont be an issue before confirming my booking. Its a newly built family run property ideal for youngsters and budget travelers, away from the noise of old manali. Added bonus is the view of the river as well as that of the surrounding mountains. complete value for money.

This place has overly achieved my expectations. It has fulfilled all my basic requirements (View, Comfort, Location, Food, Cleanliness). The host of this place has been constantly providing guidance about the places nearby during my stay. His name is Veenu & he has been a great host, a soft spoken guy. Strongly recommend this one if you are finding a good budget friendly stay in Old Manali.

It's a cottage, so don't expect a 3 star facility services, but the owner is a yes person, so if you request for anything, he will get it done.. Mr. Veenu is a excellent person so it's a very pleasant and comfortable stay
The hospitality.

The place has a great view and has comfortable rooms, the host is very friendly and helpful.
The location could've been a little better, you'll reach after a 3 min climb, a little difficult with luggage, although the host is more than ready to help. :)
