Jeff was very welcoming and gave us a booklet to explain the history of the buildings. We chose the accommodation because it sounded interesting and unusual. It was very spacious but clean, the bed was comfortable and location very peaceful. Jeff was really helpful and booked an excellent restaurant nearby.

A special place, abounding in beauty, atmosphere and history; imbued in the ancient stones, enchanting roses, tangible layers of the past, the wild and mysterious sound of nature and dark night skies. Comfort, peace and beauty offered within a sympathetic and visionary restoration (and mercifully not over-restored) - and Jeff - make this a uniquely special experience.

Breakfast was delicious and the building itself and the grounds were gorgeous. Such a special place to stay. Will definitely return.
Close to the road but it was fairly quiet.

I was going to leave a long review talking about all the brilliant and exciting thing in the grounds, rooms, staff and, outbuildings but decided to go for one word instead. Exceptional.

Lovely ambiance and nice to stay in a different type of property.
Modern comforts in a historical building.
No haircare facilities, but not a big issue for an overnight stay.

The location and the Château itself were absolutely breathtaking. We were surrounded by amazing nature, the château was filled with history and comfort at the same time. Never slept better than I did at Château Monastère de La Corroirie, waking up to the sound of birds. Jacqueline was a wonderful host, Thank you.

Magnificent building with very large rooms and comfortable beds.
The home made Gin was an extra bonus, without any doubt.

Dog friendly and very suitable for a comfortable stop on our journey south.
Breakfast staff very helpful and pleasant.
Dinner not available on site(as booked) we were late arriving, due to road works. Thankfully we were able to get dinner at a local restaurant suggested by our host.

Wonderful historic chateau and grounds. The grounds were really peaceful and full of bird life. We heard cuckoos and saw many swifts.

The building was just beautiful. We loved it, and felt like royalty in our beautiful room. Couldn't fault it at all. The host Jeff was very welcoming. We would love to come to this beautiful place again.
My only tiny weeny disappointment was , it would be nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room, this was missing and I do love a cuppa when I wake up.
Breakfast could have been a little more substantial ( although what we had was very nice ), perhaps a couple of croissants and not just one, but it was delightful just the same.

Amazing location, kind and friendly staff and clean spacious rooms, what's not to like!
Nothing, the hotel and the stay were truly amazing! The only thing to be careful of is the restaurant in the next village along (le moulin de Chaudé) avoid it at all costs (terrible service and poor value)!

The place is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The common spaces are also very nice.
Nothing worth mentioning.

Beautiful, mysterious, romantic atmosphere. Spacious room, delicious breakfast, sympathetic and funny and generous proprietor. The chateau is a fantastic, wonderfully preserved 14th century historical monument. I'd stay weeks in this marvellous place.
Nothing to criticise.

The room is large, good seating, excellent bed, the best we had the whole week. Lady at the breakfast is very friendly, excellent service. The place is very interesting, definetly a good choice. They make their own honey, it's excellent. The bathroom was large, had a walk in shower and a tub.
A bit close to the road, but there is no traffic anyway at night. Maybe ask for a room facing the back, I think it's nicer than the one facing the old church. Covid measures could be better (no handgel, wear masks, and airing of breakfast location)
