About this house rental

Less than three hours drive from Sydney and Canberra, Culburra Beach on the south coast is the perfect destination for a short getaway or an extended vacation.
With two surf beaches to choose from, Lake Wollumboula, the mouth of the mighty Shoalhaven River and just a short distance away Jervis Bay, this coastal village has everything for the aquatic enthusiast.

Surfing, swimming, fishing, sailing, water-skiing, whale watching ... just to name a few.

Located at the southern end of the beach with a northerly aspect and absolute beach frontage this house is the perfect place to enjoy your stay.

The large deck overlooks the ocean from Tilbury Cove to the east, along the entire length of the beach to Orient Point lighthouse, with Cambewarra Mountain and the coastal escarpment in the distance providing an artist's backdrop to the sea.

The house is large with magnificent ocean views from inside the main entertaining area and main bedroom as well as from out on the deck. The house and the furnishings in it are very comfortable but simple and are designed to enhance the main features of the property which are the glorious views and the spaciousness of the entertaining areas. It provides the perfect environment for relaxing and recharging work weary bodies.

Your children will especially enjoy the space to play both inside and out, without you needing to be overly concerned about them damaging items or furniture.

*** Please Note: We offer late checkout on Sunday afternoon (4.00 pm) for weekend bookings - so you can continue to sit back and relax for the day and don't have to rush off first thing on Sunday morning!

Our House

The house has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a huge indoor living / entertaining area (100 square metres) plus a separate dining / family area with TV, DVD Player and Playstation. Sony music system with Bluetooth capability and USB input for your own music.

The entire north wall of the house is constructed from floor to ceiling glass (with the exception of the fireplace) providing a delightful spot to gaze out over the ocean and creating a light and airy environment. The open plan design of the home allows family and friends to share time together whilst providing each guest with their own personal space in which to relax.

Laze casually on the comfortable lounges or stretch out along the window benches with a good book or perhaps test your skills with one of the many jigsaw puzzles supplied. There is also an indoor barbecue in the main living area so the chef doesn't miss out on the conversation whilst cooking the steaks, sausages or freshly caught seafood. Anyone for bacon and eggs cooked on the barbie for breakfast?

Facilities

The kitchen is modern, simple and functional with easy cleaning surfaces and ample cupboard storage and bench top working space. Equipment includes a cook-top, oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and a Capino Espressotoria Coffee machine with PODS readily available from the local Woolworth's store. There is crockery, cutlery and glassware for at least 12 settings along with a range of cooking utensils.

A second fridge in the laundry along with a washing machine and a dryer, provides ample space for drinks and other provisions if necessary.

Three of the bedrooms have queen size beds while the fourth bedroom has two bunks (four beds) but can also be configured as one bunk and two single beds if preferred. All bedrooms have either built-in or free standing wardrobes with plenty of hanging space and chests of draws.

The location of this house is excellent and we really love Culburra Besch as a town. However, the house is tired, as are the items in it. The furniture especially needs to be reconsidered for comfort of visitors. The enormous main living space was sparse and the furniture that was in there is outdoor furniture and not practical or comfortable. The views of the ocean from this room are spectacular but none of the windows open and makes the house very hot when temps are high (as we experienced). The small living/tv room also has outdoor like furniture, which again is not suitable. The main bathroom is lovely and newly renovated, but there is no bench space due to the oversized basin and there is also no storage. The bedrooms are large but the furniture is old and mis-matched, but functional. No real thought has gone into what is needed in terms of furniture nor for comfort of visitors - despite the hefty price tag. It’s clear you are paying for the view and beachfront location. We have stayed in other houses near this one, also with direct beach access, for about the same cost which have been more modern with more comfortable furniture and amenities.

We loved this property - it is perfect for a large family getaway. The living area is huge, and the beds are comfy. Well equipped kitchen, and a great view of Culburra Beach. The beach is directly accessible from the back yard of the property.

A great place to just enjoy being waterfront at a fantastic, family friendly beach. With an extended tribe of kids and adults, Cully was perfect to jduck down to the beach whenever you want or just lay back and soak up the views and soothing sounds of the waves. A huge open plan living area meant we could all be together but with plenty of space to be doing our own thing - reading, puzzles, playing, eating.... Highly recommended for a great laid back family holiday.

We were two big families staying in "Cully" Beach house and there was a space for everyone of us. The house is very clean as you see it in the pictures . The beach is just few footsteps away from your deck, we enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the kids playing on the beach . The house has all what we needed during our stay. Lots of things for the kids to do are not mentioned in the describtion (play station, beach toys, heaps of board games for all ages, and lots more) Culburra beach was perfect for swimming and surfing . we enjoyed staying in "Cully" Beach house and we will definitely come back again.

What a stunning location! Cully beach house is a perfectly positioned beachfront with a stunning vista of the whole surrounds. With a expansive deck overlooking the beach we felt like we were "on the beach" without all the effort of setting up for a day making it ideal for elderly or frail family members who were unable to easily access the beach. The home is comfortable and very well equipped for a family holiday. Lots of space for everyone to enjoy their own relaxation, with a huge room overlooking the beach we could enjoy Culburra whatever the weather. A holiday at Cully beach house is a perfect way to enjoy a beach escape with the whole family and we would thoroughly recommend it.

We had a great stay at Cully Beach House the night before my wedding, with my 5 groomsmen. House has been renovated internally, and is very deceiving from the street. The outlook & back verandah is amazing, and less than a minute walk out the backyard and onto the beach. Highly recommended, and planning on future trips back to Cully!

This is not the most modern place we have stayed, but it is certainly one of the most comfortable for our group.We are four couples who like to get together every few months to catch up on family happenings. This house has lots of different areas to congregate. The men can watch the footy. The women can play word games, or sleep in the window seat! Out the front deck was the favourite when the time for the evening drinkies came around.
