This stunning 1920s bungalow is located on what is arguably the number one street in Tanunda. Surrounded by other character homes with beautiful gardens and just a few doors down from the main street, a short and relaxing walk to the many shops, cafes and restaurants that this beautiful town has on offer. Within easy walking distance to the local recreation park and one of the towns primary schools, this location is simply perfect for active families. Offers 2 bathrooms both with step in baths and an additional separate toilet area.
Upon entering the home be prepared to have your breath taken away. The ornate hallway certainly sets the scene, drawing you in to the home with the warmth of the polished floor boards, the original patterned panels to the walls and the feature timber entrance panel befitting of a quality home of this era. The large rooms and high ceilings and the beautiful leadlight glass in the windows and doors are just a few more of the original features that have been lovingly retained throughout the renovation of this home.
The new kitchen provides a practical work area for the home cook, with ample bench space for preparation of a feast, along with intimate window seating to sit and chat with family and friends over a coffee or a glass of wine. There are many special features here, from the nickel taps, to the custom made Butlers sink shipped in from England, to the cabinetry with wire mesh frontage to tie in the old with new. The modern stainless steel appliances including the 900mm freestanding oven and the dishwasher make entertaining easy.
Step through to the adjoining open plan family room addition and into the hub of family life. The current owners utilized this large space to spend time as a family opening out to the rear yard and the swimming pool, it was the perfect area for family gatherings or for the kids to use when friends came to stay. With two of the bedrooms in this extension and the second bathroom, it became the teenagers retreat as they grew and needed their own space, while mum and dad retreated to the more formal living areas in the home.
Outdoor living is a delight here with shady nooks throughout the pretty gardens, small lawned areas, and plenty of hiding spots for the kids to play hide and seek! Entertaining friends and family here is easy with the undercover entertaining area overlooking the swimming pool so the adults can keep an eye on the kids.
