It was passable but expensive

The lack of choice in breakfast cereals, the limited choice in fruit, the poor quality bread.

For the cost of a room there should have been a lift to the first floor rooms. It was noisy.

Great stay, great location but Southport seems to be ona downward trend unfortunately

Location excellent, lovely modern rooms, comfortable beds

Water pressure poor. Breakfast ( at sister hotel across the road) was a bit hit and miss. 1st day food over cooked, 2nd day much better, 3rd day service poor and food on offer is lacking. Car Park £8-30 per day, instead of £30, but really for the price parking should be included.

Great stay will be booking again

Close to shops, fridge in room, very nice room and bathroom, air con and fan

The lift only goes to the first floor, I can’t climb stairs so I have to make sure I get a room on the first floor. Although I didn’t have a problem going across the road to the bold for breakfast I didn’t understand why

I had another wonderful stay. Customer service is always fabulous here. Rooms are always beautiful too. Keep up the great work

Only a small thing but my deluxe king room only had a double bed not a king bed. Next time I'll get intouch with the hotel before hand and Try and request one. As I know they will accommodate you if they can. They are very helpful

this is a place to never leave

staff were amazing, not in any particular order, chris night porter, jade on reception very helpful, tibu restaurant, grace n amazing young lady restaurant manager, liv, very amusing. micheal, this young man brilliant, can step into anything and resolve, house keeping, would marry them. staff were trained impeccably

Comfortable ,enjoyable stay

Very comfy bed ,clean and comfortable room with everything you need for a comfortable nights stay , Got a free upgrade so our room was even better, All in all a lovely stay.

Parking is a bit hit and miss but we found a space

a big surprise

What a surprise - the perfect one stop spot for relaxing. A lovely room with a lovely shower; a very comfortable bed with plump pillows and a great mattress. A sports bar - an Irish bar - live singer - and a beautiful upmarket bar and restaurant next door - all part of the one complex. The Grand was the icing on the cake - great service lovely music and some great wine. Thank you very much !

Lovely room. Good staff.

Was conveniently attached to the Grand hotel plus the Irish pub on the other side. Lovely clean and comfy room with a huge bed. Very clean.

Shoddy

Listed as having 3 restaurants between its self and sister hotel. Only one was open. Lift kept Breaking down heating was not working when I arrived no maintenance in site reception doing everything

A experiance.

The young lady called ELLE on reception was great sorting the heating for us .all was good except wen went for meal for my birthday in the restaurant and wat a spoiler .waited so long we nearly left .then wen got it it was cold .staff got order rong .never again.

As said the restaurant.really upset me .

Excellent

The staff were amazing! The biggest room we have ever had in Southport . We had a couple of problems when we got in the room but reception staff soon sorted it out. Would Def go again!

You definitely get your moneys worth.

When we arrived we was informed we had received a free upgrade, the receptionist that greeted us and checked us was lovely and very helpful. The room was upgraded to was lovely and clean.

We enjoyed our experience the only thing we was disappointed in was the bed as we didn’t have a good sleep. The two mattresses that was pushed to make a king size led to a dip in the middle of the bed which just wasn’t very comfortable at all. Also the noise from the bar below was very loud until late which I think was just to the room location as last time we stayed there was never an issue.

Quiet room

No hot water. Despite request in the morning still no hot water. Was told that an extra charge would be made if I waited for hot water and did not exit room before check out time. Ordered morning newspaper. Never arrived and not provided at reception.

Very modern and cosy

Loved it but the room view wasn’t the best, nowhere to put towels e.g a hook on the bathroom door, quality of soap provided not great, tv is a little small considering how far away from the bed.

A few issues

I loved how beautiful the hotel was. It was so stylish so colourful and there is a little lounge on the first floor that I love to sit in and it was quite quiet. There is a great bar downstairs that had a pub vibe to it. Also one of the perks was being able to use the local leisure centre for free and that was wonderful.

The room door tended to need a little bit of a slam when closing which wasn't good as it meant making noise yourself so that couldn't be good for other guests and I could hear other doors slamming too. There's a lift in the building but only goes up to the first floor and not the second which is a pain if you have a large suitcase to carry up a large flight of stairs which is what I did. I didn't actually see the lift until after I carried up the suitcase up two flights of stairs. A couple of issues with the housekeeping although I didn't raise each one and they were very small. There were a few days when they didn't change my dirty glasses or cups which is annoying. And sometimes he didn't change the bins either or they would only change one. But because these were all little things I didn't complain about them. I wasn't a fan of the water pressure in the shower either. If I quite weak and it took me longer than it normally spend in the shower. One point I just had my shower at the leisure centre instead. It didn't feel like the shower is broken or anything it just wasn't good pressure. The room should have had more drawers to put clothes in. Most of my clothes just sat in piles at the bottom of the wardrobe which I thought was quite strange. It was an open wardrobe as well so they were fully on display. I don't know if the lighting in the room was motion detected or something but occasionally they will go off and come back on. So that was kind of annoying.

Lovely enjoyable stay, you won’t be disappointed

Everything, is really central, staff were very helpful friendly, reception staff went out of their way for my dietary needs (gluten and dairy free). We have stayed twice and both times it has been excellent

Everything, lovely rooms clean and tidy, lots of amenities, bars places to eat.
