The house and grounds were spotless and the waterfront views/access were amazing! Excellent location on the lake and in town. The use of the little aluminum boat was a wonderful bonus that we enjoyed tremendously.

Loved my stay here, and the owners were super responsive and courteous. No issues at all during my visit, and would rent again in a heartbeat.

Great Location and Property!
Our group included 6 adults and there was plenty of room for us to spread out and areas indoors and out were large enough for us to gather together when we wanted. The dock was plenty large for our 21 ft boat rental and a great location on the lake to tube without too much lake traffic.
Our whole group loved our time on the Big Lake and at this great property!!

Beautiful Property
We were celebrating our 2nd Wedding Anniversary. This was the PERFECT place to stay. Upon arrival, met the home owners. Wonderful owners, showed us around inside and outside of the house. The house was extremely clean, and exactly what we expected from the photos. I will never forget the scenery and it was spectacular. We wanted a quiet place to stay at and this was a stress reliever for both of us, especially the line of work we do. We highly recommend this place to stay at, and we plan to stay here again in the near future.
Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home, and celebrating our Wedding Anniversary ❤.

Very relaxing stay
We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. Amazing views of the lake. Beautiful sandy shoreline - perfect for young kids. Very quiet and serene setting. The house is well stocked. We appreciated the kayaks and the boat. We had planned to do many activities in the area but ended up spending most of our time on the property...swimming, fishing, kayaking etc. The hosts were wonderful and very attentive.

Best Rental and Vacation!!
My husband and I stayed at this wonderful lake home with our three kids (5,3, almost 1) and parents. I have so many wonderful things to say about the home, location and owners that I don’t know where to start!
The home is beautiful and perfect in so many ways. First of all, it is clean and well stocked. And when I say clean, I mean spotless!! The set up for sleeping is great—for kids and for adults. The air conditioning makes it very comfortable and creates great white noise for the little ones to sleep. The beds are amazing, so comfortable—and we are a picky bunch!! The house is private and secluded, offers more than enough parking, and is really the perfect lake house.
The owners are great. They were helpful and insightful about their home and the area. Harry and Gertrude were very friendly and made the whole experience easy.
The beach—it is perfect. Shallow and warm for the little ones. The water is clean and there aren’t a million boats zooming around creating waves. It is on a quiet part of the lake that is really peaceful and lovely. The boats that were available to use (kayaks and motorboat) were amazing and gave us a great opportunity to see the lake.
Lastly, we fell in love with Meredith. There was something for everyone from the natural science center, to the train rides and the wonderful restaurants.
This is a home that you will revisit again and again—trust me!! Thanks for a great vaca Harry and Gertrude!

I stayed at this property with my husband and two boys, 6 and 9. It was a big hit for the entire family. This location had the perfect balance of tranquility in nature and fun activities nearby. Some of the highlights for us were Squam Lakes Nature Science Center, Fun Spot, a WWII museum called The Wright Museum, Weir Beach, Castle In the Clouds, Lost River Gorge, mini golf, a train ride, and swimming, boating, and fishing at the property. We drove up to Story Land one day, which was perfect for our children’s ages. Story Land and Lost River were a little over an hour away but well worth the trip. Everything else was close by.The house itself consisted of three bedrooms plus a bed area in the corner of the large family room, which also included an office area that my husband used to work remotely. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics a person would expect, and there were three bathrooms, all with TVs. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. The owners met us there and showed us how everything works. They were very accommodating and flexible, and it was clear they take a lot of pride in their property. They allowed us to use their motor boat and kayaks (a tandem and a single). The property also includes a large yard and wooded lot, deck with plentiful seating, dock, and natural sand beach that the kids absolutely loved. There is also a small public beach walking distance from the house, though there is also plenty of parking if a person prefers to drive. All in all, I would absolutely recommend the area and this property in particular.

A very nice, well-maintained house on the lake
My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at this lake house.
First, Gertrude and Harry were great. Harry was good enough to show us around when we arrived and he went out of his way to make us feel welcome and even took me out in the boat to demonstrate its operation.
Second, the house is in a great location on the lake, with a broad view and a dock with enough deep water to dock the pontoon boat we rented for the week.
We all had a good time and my 6 year old and 4 year old daughters loved playing in the water and along the shoreline. It's a great place for kids. We all hope to stay at the house again in the future.

Excellent Vacation Home - Highly recommended
This is truly a gem on the lake! If you're like, me you have some connection to this place from your childhood. This home gives you the opportunity to make new memories with a perfect setting and a sandy swimming area that goes out at least 100' and is only 4' deep. Perfect for floating and swimming and deep enough for a boat. No scrambling through rocks to get into the lake here.
The home itself is well equipped, clean and the owners were responsive and very nice. Castle in the Clouds can and be seen from the deck. It's also close to hiking trails and town.
Another great perk were the boats that were provided. We had a great time Kayaking!

Great Lake House Rental
Gertrude and Harry. I want to tell you that my father and I had a great time at your lake house. We didn't have any issues. It was a great place to stay. We relaxed the whole time and caught fish and even some nice lake trout. I would definitely recommend your rental to others. If we should come back to Lake Winnipesauke again we will definitely choose your place. Thanks again. You guys were great. It was a pleasure meeting you both.

The Best First Annual family Vacation!!
Our family consists of my husband and myself, three grown children their spouses and one toddler grandson.
When we arrived, Connie Colby came to the house to meet us and she was so incredibly warm and inviting to her home. We stayed from August 8th, 2015 to August 15th, 2015.
The house is so absolutely gorgeous with its many views of the Lake and it is so well maintained.
Everything you needed was available including linens, great cookware, and a myriad of spices, staples, and paper products..we did not want for anything!
Hannaford's Supermarket was really close, and it is an exceptional store that has everything you could possibly need.
The four bedroom's where large and nicely decorated. The best part of the rooms was that all of them had queen sized beds, which is so hard to find when you have a large family.
The beach was so very clean and the water was wonderful. It's just a five minute walk, or if you have someone who cannot walk like we did, you can get a parking beach pass from Bonnie for your car.
For my grandson there was a big swing set area and sand box right at the beach which he loved.
The house even had some beach chairs and some floats available...although we brought our own.
There are so many activities to do in the town and surrounding towns. Bonnie has a cute basket on her dining room table with so many brochures of what to do in the area. It was a real plus!!
We attended a wonderful craft fair that week that was about 20 minutes away and we bought so many interesting gifts to take back home.
There were so many things to do that we never even got a chance to do a fraction of them...so we hope to come back again next year!
We highly recommend the Colby's home ..you will not find anything better. And a big plus was that the house was kid friendly.
Thank you for a fantastic vacation!!

Excellence
my family stayed at this wonderful lake house last week. Views are awesome. It was so quiet and peaceful. Felt like we had the entire lake to ourselves. Owners were very nice and easy to deal with. Answered all our questions and gave helpful information. They welcomed us and gave us use of their paddle boat, kayaks and floats. Rented numerous different houses on east coast and this house had more amenities and upgraded furniture throughout then any of the other houses. Would highly recommend. No complaints at all. Thank you for giving my family a lovely vacation!

Terrific place
We had a fabulous vacation despite the rainy, cool and unpredictable weather. The house is roomy, uncluttered and clean - and has everything you could possibly need, including plenty of extra towels, washer/dryer, numerous TV's and quality sound systems, and a well-equipped kitchen (all of which we really appreciated during the first 2 rainy days!). And even on a gloomy morning, the lake view was amazing.
The owners were fabulous beforehand as well as upon arrival. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend this lakehouse!

What a view!
This lake house is casual, comfortable, roomy, and has an absolutely amazing view. Everything was clean & tidy, there was plenty of seating inside & out, and both Meredith and Center Harbor were conveniently close. No disappointments at all. Everything in the listing description was accurate. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat to anyone.

Great again!
We just returned from our third visit to this property and it just keeps getting better. The well equiped house, the lake, the view, the area and the peace and quiet of the location. New England in the fall doesn't get much better than this.

The PERFECT vacation spot
We have to begin by saying the pictures here, as beautiful as they are, don't do this home justice. It is even better in person. The house is immaculate and very well equipped. It has EVERYthing you need. The owners were very nice and extremely accommodating. They even surprised us with brand new bedding on all the beds. Speaking of the beds, we found them to all be VERY comfortable.
The house was spacious and had incredible views. We've stayed in many different locations around the lake and this house was by far the best as far as location and cleanliness.
The kitchen was stocked with everything you'd need, it even had the corn cobb stickers :-) There were plenty of towels for the bathrooms and if by chance you did run out, the washer and dryer were a nice thing to have around.
We did hear the barking dogs on the island but what can you do? It wasn't so bad that it spoiled our week by any means. As far as the neighbors on both sides, it was very quiet so no complaints there.
All in all this was the best vacation we've had at Winnipesaukee. We had perfect weather but even if it had rained all week, the house was bright and spacious and comfortable had we been stuck "in" a bit. The sunrise over the lake each morning was spectacular and then the sun shining on the mountains as it set behind the house each night was beautiful.
We can't wait to go back next year. We just have to figure out our week so we can book it. This place was amazing. Thanks to the Moazenis for allowing us to enjoy it for a week and have a lifetime of memories :-)

Great location, great house, friendly owners
Had a great week here in early June. The house was just what we were looking for... great location (nice spot on the lake, close to Meredith center), deck overlooking the lake, large front yard for games, dock with small power boat for fishing, friendly and helpful owners, friendly neighbors, etc.. I would definitely recommend this house.

Bring earplugs and a foam topper
This place was very nice and clean and the owner was very accomodating but we were surrounded by noise on 3 sides. The house to the right had nonstop screaming and yelling kids over the weekend as well as a radio. These were owners, not renters. The house to the left had a construction crew come in for at least 2 days with saws and a radio. And worst of all was the house on the little island in front of us. The owner had a nail gun and hammer going for days--even at 7pm!--as well as 2 barking/squealing dogs. Also, one of his sons took out a Boston Whaler and zoomed past us every morning at 5:30 waking us up. This woman should have a serious talk with her neighbors. Plus, all the mattresses were these cheap, new one-sided variety and are like springboards. I resorted to sleeping on the couch. We will not be returning.
