Great place for 6 adults, a mixture of family and friends, the apartment was perfect for us.
Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, good shower with plentiful hot water. There is ski and heated boot storage; a nice big communal area with big tables for eating/card playing. The balcony has amazing views of the mountains. It was lovely to be in the heart of the old town. Franck was very easy to communicate with at all stages of our stay, he was very helpful and friendly.
The apartment is about a 3 minute walk from the tourist office where you can collect/buy ski passes. Pick your passes up as soon as possible as the tourist office doesn’t always stay open until 18:30.
You can take the standing open gondola from here. This will take you up to the new town or if you stay on it up to the ‘DMC’ gondola side of the ski area. Beautiful views across the mountains and town. You can ski down from this end if you prefer. Or there is the alpe express which is a covered gondola, again is about a 3 min walk and this will arrive at the nursery slope/ ski school end of the ski area. As a foot note the alpe express has a luggage storage area with lockers which can be booked for the last day if you have a later transfer, there aren’t many so book early at the tourist office/online. It allowed us to have an extra day skiing. Nice toilets there too for changing.
Would suggest Le Roi Ladre for pizza.Book for every meal otherwise you won’t get in.
Ski hire, 2 min walk. Supermarket 5 mins walk.

This is an amazing property. The views from the balcony are spectacular and the living space is really big and was perfect for our group of 6.
It is less than a 5 mins walk to reach the gondola or lift to get to the slopes as well. Franck was very easy to communicate with and I’d highly recommend staying here.

The apartment surpassed our expectations. It felt a lot more spacious than it appears in the photos. There is also a lovely separate shower that is not included in the details. Th owners are very friendly and we had everything we needed. Great stay!

"Our party of 8, 4 adults and 4 kids (14,14,12 & 12) rented this apartment for the half term week 19th-26th Feb 2011.
Booking was easy from the web and with a little help from Google Translator and Frank’s (the owner) English we were able to communicate! We paid deposit via bank transfer and took the balance with us.
The apartment is in a good position (Grid 7E on ADH town map) just a couple of minutes walk away from both the Telecentre (cage) lift and the Eclose chairlift, which feeds the Bergers chairlift. In good conditions you can ski back through the town to within 50m or so. It overlooks a small car park area and the bus terminal. South facing with lots of sun in the afternoons/early evenings.
The apartment was well equipped (apart from the lack of a kettle; for the tea drinkers!). Bedrooms; 2 doubles and a quad (twin beds and bunks) were of a good size. There is also a sofa bed (which we didn’t use), making sleeping provision for 10. The separate toilet works well with a party of 8. Saying that another toilet would be good if the party size was at the maximum of 10. Two wash basins in the bathroom are also good for the bathroom rush hour.
Wifi was available (great for the kids in the evenings).
Consider the steep open steps leading up to the front door. Our teenagers found it hard with ski boots, skis and poles. Something to think about if you have little ones.
Would recommend this apartment and we will use it again when we return to ADH."

"Our group of 7 stayed in this apartment in Jan 2010 and loved it.
We are all based in England and there was no problem booking in English and sending our deposit to the owner.
The apartment is in excellent condition with high standard furnishings, lovely wooden construction, and a modern spacious feel with vaulted ceilings.
The living area is huge with a large dining table and open plan (fully equipped) kitchen and a free standing wood-burner for extra cosiness if required; the owner kindly provided wood.
The view is great too - see the photos.
It is a top floor (detached) apartment with it's own entrance so no problems with neighbours etc or noise.
It is right in the middle of a cluster of the best old town restaurants (in fact there's one underneath) and the main ski office and lifts are within 100m of the door.
There's a great little bakery a few doors down and various other shops included ski hire very close by.
The nearby Grenoble bus stop is just a stone's throw from the apartment, making travelling easy.
The apartment has a large enough enclosed entrance veranda to hold all of our skis and boards, and there is plenty of space in the apartment for drying if required.
We'll be staying there again if it's available next year!"
