Perfect base for exploring the region
The property is in a perfect location within walking distance of the charming village of Bedoin, shops, bars and restaurants. For us, a group of 9 cyclists, we could not have wished for a better location, just a few hundred metres from the start of the classic Mont Ventoux climb.
The house is extremely comfortable and offers really flexible living. Plenty of living space and an abundance of social areas, both inside and out to enjoy the views and summer weather. Property is well maintained, clean and offers easy access via a local manager.
Bedrooms are all good size and there was sufficient bathroom access for 9. The master bedroom is a real masterpiece - loved it! Kitchen is small but well stocked and there are bonus features of a dishwasher and washing machine to make life easier.
Contact with owners and access arrangements are very easy. The original artwork around the property was a point of conversation for our group and gave the place a real authentic and personal feel. A real home from home rather than a show home.
We loved this place and will be returning here when the Tour passes this way next. This will be out first choice as couldn't think of how it could be improved for our needs.
Top tip - ditch the over priced boutique wines of the region. Our resident wine buff couldn't detect the 6 euro Ventoux red or the 11 euro Beaumes de Venise over certain other well known vin yards close to the area.

Lovely House in a Perfect Location
Six of us rented this wonderful house in June 2015 to use a base to explore the surrounding wine region and do some cycling. It was the perfect base for both! The town of Bedoin is a cycling mecca due it's location at the base of Mont Ventoux, one of the epic climbs of the Tour de France. Many bike shops in the area where you can rent anything from high end carbon to easy touring bikes. But it's also a quaint small town that has some nice restaurants, shops, grocery store and the BEST local market on Mondays. And if you like wine, you are minutes from great vineyards and producers in the Ventoux area with Chateauneuf du Pape and Provence both less than an hour away.
The house itself is in a perfect location just on the outskirts of Bedoin. If feels quiet and secluded but you can walk down a shaded path and be in the center in 5 minutes. The exterior has 2 outdoor terraces with tables/chairs and a small grill. Plus there is a nice size parking area in back.
The interior is little quirky, nothing fancy but very comfortable. It's a nice lived in house with the owner's furnishings and art left for you to enjoy. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishware, plus dishwasher, microwave, good stove and oven plus a normal size refrigerator. Washing machine, television - everything you need. The only drawback, depending on who is in your group, is the orientation of the two upper bedrooms. You have to walk through one to get to the other so not much privacy here. You would also need to share the upstairs bathroom (ensuite to the main upper bedroom) since the 3rd bathroom is basically a small tiled room at the bottom of the stairs with an open shower, sink and toilet. If you are travelling with kids this would probably not be an issue and even as 3 couples we made it work.
No fancy linens or fluffy towels here - it's a simple, comfortable, quiet place where you can live like a local in sleepy little town in the French countryside. Both the owner and caretaker of the house were wonderful to work with. We loved our stay and would rent again!
