About this house rental
2 Kingfisher has so much to offer... Ideally located in the prime location of North Forest Beach, this perfect vacation home is a short 50 yards to the beach and a simple walk/bike ride to the always popular Coligny Plaza. This gem has a large, open floor plan while maintaining much needed personal space, making it the ideal retreat for multi-family gatherings.
Upon entering the property from the driveway, you are greeted with a spacious pool area enclosed for your privacy and security for children. You will quickly notice the custom tile work in the pool and immediately be drawn to the attached hot tub where a waterfall cascades into the larger pool area. The surrounding sundeck is equipped with numerous lounge chairs and just beyond the water is a covered tiki area that includes a large gas grill, dry bar, and ample seating from the bar stools and dining table. To top things off, stereo speakers are installed to add some additional poolside atmosphere.
As you enter the home, the open floor plan greets you in the foyer with much-valued space to place shoes and drop bags. A functional desk with seating bench and baskets are available. The natural light from several large windows sets the stage to view the numerous upgrades and updates incorporated in the last few years. These include completely new furnishings for both living areas, fresh paint throughout annually, new electronics including a large flat screen HDTV and whole house audio system, upgraded lighting fixtures, and many more exciting new touches. The latest upgrades include the replacement of all carpeted areas with new flooring, raising the aesthetic feel to a whole new level and the replacement of all blinds throughout the house. This new look can be seen in the bedroom and loft photos...
The 1st floor boasts an inviting 2 story great room with large windows and a sliding glass door that opens to the first of two covered verandas that overlook the pool area. Two oversized couches anchor the room with two additional armchairs for adding seating. The living space features a fireplace, built-in book shelves and a wall-mounted HDTV with stereo/surround sound and DVD player. Flowing off the great room is a dining area that seats 12 comfortably, includes a high chair for the little one, and has a breakfast bar that seats an additional 4. The attached kitchen features stainless appliances and numerous accessories to keep any home chef happy.
The 2nd floor features a TV/Media/Reading loft area with a sectional sofa that converts to a queen size bed and an added loveseat for extra seating. The area is equipped with a 27' TV with DVD/VCR, a gaming table, and is connected through a sliding glass door to the second covered veranda.
ALL MATTRESSES HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH NEW ONES in 2018/2019. The bedroom configuration consists of 2 sleeping rooms on the first floor and the remaining 4 on the second floor. Each is equipped with a ceiling fan, TVs with DVD players, and new, high thread count linens. A master suite is available on each floor and consists of a walk-in closet, sitting area, soaking tub, separate shower, and double sink/vanity area. The third King bed is on the 2nd floor and contains an attached full bath. The remaining two bedrooms on the 2nd floor, 1 Queen and 2 Doubles, share a jack-and-jill bath (1 tub/shower, separate vanity areas). The final bedroom on the 1st floor contains 2 Twin beds and has an attached full bath. As an additional bonus, a crib and a pack-n-play are available at no charge (these unfortunately do not come with sheets).

After a tumultuous couple of years, we booked a much needed family vacation. We wanted a quiet place convenient to amenities within walking distance to the beach and that also had a pool. This place had it all.
A short 2 minute walked to the beach enabled us to watch every sunrise for the week we were there. In the evening, we would make our way right back to walk and look for turtles and crabs. (Two turtles nested while we were there!)
Our crew loved the pool and pool area. It was well-appointed with furniture enough for everyone. The grill was great for cooking out by the pool for dinner.
The house inside was simply beautiful. With six incredibly spacious bedrooms, two living areas, and dining seats enough for everyone, we all were able to spend time together while we also had our own space to relax.
We took advantage of the two massive decks to sit and visit while enjoying the fresh ocean air.
I can’t thank Anthony enough for allowing us to stay at this stunning home - it truly was great. Everything was perfect, incredibly clean, and exactly what we needed. We are already planning a return trip!

Upon arrival, the house had not been cleaned. The cleaning team was supposed to have been done by 4:00 pm. After calling the property manager, the cleaning team arrived around 4:30 and completed cleaning the house at approximately 5:30.
Great location for the house. However, some of the furniture is showing its age, especially in the great room. Also, there are virtually no lights in the great room, so rather dark in the evenings.

This house was the perfect size/space for a family vacation. My 4 adult children with their families all had their own space, and most importantly, each family had their own bathroom to share! Loved the huge master on the main level for myself, with another bedroom on the main floor. The four bedrooms upstairs and the loft area gave plenty of room for the families with kids to keep the little kids in their room with parents, or for movies/sleepovers on the oversized sofa/pullout.The pool area is great. Plenty of seating/dining space and sun most of the day. The short walk to the beach is great for going back and forth between pool time and beach time. Beach towels and beach chairs are not provided, which wasn’t clear in the listing information. Beach/pool toys are whatever others have left behind- there were plenty of rings and toys during our stay, but if you have these things and are driving best to bring your own! Our group of 8 adults and 4 children (13, 6, 5, 5.) had a great week, and overall everyone loved this house because of the size, layout, pool, and proximity to the beach! Would def rent this again.

Had a great week even though the weather was a bit iffy at times. Very beautiful neighborhood and real close to the beach. Very nice house and the owner was oustanding. Had a problem when we got there. The place had not been cleaned. Called the owner and he was upset. He immediately got hold of the cleaning company and they came right over and cleaned the house. He went one step further though and refunded us $300 for the mistake. We used it for an excellent dinner out one evening. Can’t say enough about the owner. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

An amazing getaway!
Our stay this past week was amazing! Our group consisted of those ranging from 1 yr of age up to 70 yrs of age and everyone enjoyed themselves. We had everything we needed. Pictures don’t do this place justice. Everything was even better in person!!

Great beach house
We had a great week at 2 Kingfisher. The layout of the rooms was very pleasing for a family gathering with small children. The outdoor living space was nice with a porches, deck seating and a great pool. The walk to the beach was convenient and partially shady. It was easy to bike to restaurants and parks. Anthony and Angela were attentive landlords and communicative, and took care of any concerns immediately. Definitely returning.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Wonderful location - a quick walk to the beach and Coligny. We loved the pool area and layout of the home. The owners were very responsive and were a pleasure to deal with. House was in good condition and was well stocked. Would be nice to have some curtains over the blinds in the downstairs master suite to keep the room darker at night.

Perfect home away from home
This property is everything you could ask for in a vacation rental. Communicating back-and-forth through the months of Covid with Anthony, one of the owners, was seamless and effortless, couldn’t ask for a better owner. Responded to text messages and emails within minutes or a day respectively. The kitchen was fully stocked with many pots, pans, cooking utensils, dishes, mugs anything you would have at home you had multiples. Plenty of seating in the living room and around the two dining room tables. This is a must when you have a house that sleeps 16. you want enough seating in lounging areas for everybody. And there was plenty of those. Beach access literally right at the end of the street. Four houses down. Bike path directly across the street. Everything was a perfect location. The pool area has sun and shaded areas. Highly recommend this property. We loved it so much we rebook for next August before we left. Can’t go wrong with this home. Thanks again Anthony, it was awesome!

Family Getaway
Perfect week at the beach. We were looking for change of scenery and socially distant vacation - this met our expectations. House is in a great location - away from crowded parts of beach, short walk to beach access at end of street, one of the recommended spots for surfing and close enough for a short bike ride if we needed something from grocery store.
House is nicely maintained with plenty of space for our group. Kitchen is well stocked with items needed for cooking, grilling and baking. We don't always find that. Also, loved the instructions and tips on using things in the house.
Will definitely consider this house in the future. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Nice, roomy vacation home
We rented this house for a fall vacation for our family consisting of 6 adults and 4 children. The house is very roomy, nice, and comfortable, with different areas for relaxation. We enjoyed the beach, which is very close, along with the pool and hot tub. We had an issue with the pool pump/heater due to storms going through on our date of arrival, but the owners were quick to address the problem and generously compensated us for the inconvenience.

My family and I had a very relaxing time. The house fit us all perfectly and was clean and had a well stocked kitchen. The owner was easy to reach and very helpful. Only complaint would be pool area is in need of renovation. We would stay here again.

Good stay, but too short!
The inside of the rental house was very clean upon arrival. It had a great set up with large rooms for our family of 10 adults. The garage was able to hold three cars! Information for the house and electronics was clearly marked. The location is great being only one block off the beach. Unfortunately our vacation was cut short because of Hurricane Dorian but the owners were very accommodating and stayed in touch with us to assist as needed.

The location close enough to Coligny plaza to enjoy all it has to offer easily, but far enough to feel we had a private, uncrowded beach was wonderful. We would definitely return when we have our extended family together in the future. We just hope that the beds and bedding would be updated by then.

As our family has grown over the last 10 years, we've had to upgrade our rental house several times to make room for all the grandkids and 2 Kingfisher is by far our favorite house on the island. The owners have done a superb job furnishing the house and were extremely responsive when we had a question or two. Great house at a great price!
