House is in excellent location. We love Eugenia.
Property needs some work but all in all to spite the hurricane we loved our stay. The exterior grounds need to be groomed. The interior needs some cosmetic work. Communication from property management was good.

Not up to my standards based on prior VRBO locations we've rented. Needs maintenance and repairs.

There were a few little things out of line but nothing that hindered the trip. Great communication from the booking staff as they helped handle and issue. Great spot for the price.

Carpet is very very dirty and I am pretty sure it is causing the home to smell. I would not stay in this home with a child that will be crawling on carpet. The refrigerator does not keep food cold and seems to have been an issue for a while. The instructions for the lock box didn't work when we arrived. It was late and we were ready to get settled. We did get quick help when calling about lock box. Master bath is VERY small. I saw that others have mentioned the carpet and refrigerator so I thought these would have been fixed already. I am only giving 3 stars because it is so close to the beach and the area is beautiful.

The house was a good size for our party, but it had a few things that were broken and they were not repaired during our stay.
4.0 / 5.0
The location of the house is hard to beat as it's less than a 5-minute walk to the beach.
The house itself is not quite as well appointed as others on the block and there are a couple of minor inconveniences (e.g. water dispenser has not worked on the fridge for the 3 years we've stayed in the house), but it still makes for a nice vacation.

The location is perfect. The house is not terrible except the carpet is really bad and needs to be replaced, the cabinet pulls have all had the paint worn off around them and been poorly touched up with what looks like whiteout, the mattresses need to be replaced. Oh, and bring cone coffee filters because the supplied ones don't fit. FYI, Vacasa is completely unhelpful. Tried to find out if had access to pool and other facilities (you don't) and talked to multiple level of representatives. No one knew but would not relay that.

Clarification on what we could access and not would have been helpful next time. We were able to go to Heron Park Nature Park and restaurant but not able to get into pool & splash area bc not staying at Kiawah Golf Resort or members. I didn’t know until we got there.also, I walked into edge of glass table & got a massive bruise just from bumping into it. I don’t know how badly my toddler would have been injured if he ran into it. That’s scary to think about bc it’s very sharp. I think the table needs to be replaced as well as the fridge bc the water dispenser didn’t work & it looks like the frame has been broken awhile. Otherwise, we loved the house bc close to beach access & was very clean.

The home was well furnished and the neighborhood quiet. Saw a doe with her two babies. Enjoyed the sunporch in and outdoors. No complaints except there is a need for a can opener.

Cute and clean. Great Location!
Cute stand alone cottage on an adorable side street. The home was very clean. However, it does need a little maintenance (microwave door was taped up and fridge door water had some broken pieces but it all worked properly.) Bring your own towels if you should use more than one bath towel per person during your stay. They will charge you $10 for an additional bath towel set. The bathrooms (and shower) are very tiny (especially the main bed/bath). The house was clean and in a wonderful location. We really enjoyed our stay.

Comfy
Very comfy home with everything you can think of. The beds and sofas were extremely comfortable. We loved our time on the covered patio. We were able to grill using the gas grill available and the kitchen was stocked with all the tools we needed for an excellent dinner. A very short walk to the beach (which is almost private). My one suggestion for individuals who take children is that the dining room table is glass with sharp corners so just bring something to blunt the edge for toddlers. We loved our stay!

Great location.
Good location near beach. As advertised and red couches have been replaced with new ones. Would consider again although price is a bit high given the size.

Hidden gem on Kiawah Island
The house was perfect for our two families. Kids age 16, 10, and 5 and four adults. Quick, easy walk to the beach. We had a buggy and wagon and it was a piece of cake! Gorgeous beach at access#14 and not at all crowded. The house was clean and comfy. Plenty of supplies were on hand : paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap and sponge, dishwasher tablets, laundry pods, and a few trash bags. The kitchen could use a few updates, but we got plenty use out of it! The bathrooms are a bit small but we don't spend much time in there, so we worked it out. The screened in porch is lovely and we love the outdoor shower. The proximity to Freshfields and the general store is perfect. Golf courses all around, including the Ocean Course. The men enjoyed a round there as well as at Stono. We went shopping in Charleston for the day and saw the dolphins at Captain Sams Inlet. In my opinion, this is the best part of the island.

Great location. Nice place as described. Good indoor ace outdoor spaces. Ready walk or bike to the beach and close bike ride to night heron park.

Great location. Good setting to get to the beach. The property was clean for the most part but some of the cupboards were sticky. The bathroom shower needed some touch up caulk. Good check in system but not very good instructions for checkout and when I tried to ask detail it took a long time for them to answer. Good quiet neighborhood though and would stay there again since it is so close to the beach.

Last minute beach weekend
This cottage was the perfect spot for a long beach weekend with the family. Had everything we needed and plenty of space. Loved the screened in porch for outdoor living. Plenty of comfortable sleeping space.

Great location w beach access
Very clean home and also easy to pack and unpack from the easy access to the parking pad. Bathrooms are smaller but adequate and the open floor plan lives great. Loved the screen porch but it and the deck probably should have been swept and cleaned (but they are very willing to do more we just didn't ask). Excellent service from reservations to check in and out! We would definitely go back again.

Cleaning Crew leaves some to be desired
When we arrived, the two kitchen garbage containers (recycle and regular trash) were overflowing. I let the property manager know, and they said they would send someone out the following day to finish tidying up (also mop left out, and it appeared as if it wasn't finished being cleaned, even though we didn't show up until 10 pm at night). No one ever arrived. Also there was no heat once the temperature got below a certain temp got colder than the heat pump could handle. And the Fireplace in the listing? Fireplace is not for guest use. The fireplace was one of the reasons we chose this property, so that was disappointing.

Great family stay option
Place was as good as advertised and appreciated willingness of manager to accommodate our need. Actually closer to beach than we thought. Great way to keep a family together for a few days.

Great place for a stay
Good location, not too far from the beach, still walking distance, some days we biked down. Furniture was newer (super comfy gray couches, not the red pictured) everything was clean. The whole unit was nicely updated. Can tell the owners care for their home and like it to look nice.
Kitchen was great. One minor issue was resolved by Vacasa quickly- water on the door quit working, filtered or bottled water is important on Kiawah as the tap is rather mineral infused. Having filtered water was an unexpected bonus that our past Kiawah rentals didn't have.
Beds were very comfortable, had plenty of towels, which is another important thing on Kiawah with the frequent showers required.
Had a little reading library with a small kids section- came in handy for downtime. Internet and TV worked great.
Washer and dryer were nice and quick. Grill was one of the newer ones I have used at a rental, and they even had an extra propane tank there for you. Igniter didn't work, had to scrounge up stale matches out of the car to use, but otherwise it worked pretty well. Porch furniture was comfortable and in good shape. Dining room was large enough for everyone, table was good sized.
Probably the main issue we had was the master bath, the double doors lacked privacy for full use without closing the master bed door. Gap down the middle lined up perfect with the toilet :-) Not a huge deal, but inconvenient. Also had to be careful how the sprayer head in the master shower was pointed or you would flood the floor. The door sill needs to be tilted inward instead of flat. Worked fine as long as you didn't let the water spray hit the door. Kids seemed to not get the hang of it, so we had them just stick to the hall bath... good thing we had those extra towels :-)
Overall it was a great stay and we would do it again if it's available the week we need next time.

Great weekend!
Home was clean and ready to go upon arrival. Only issue was a towel bar was laying on the sink instead of on the wall. There were 2 other towel bars and plenty of towels so no biggie. Great distance from the beach. Quiet and relaxing. Will definitely be back!

All great except for a very disgusting grill deck.

Bring the whole family
This is a great space for a family stay. The master bathroom has a king size bed with 3 inch memory foam. There aretwo secondary bedrooms. One has two double beds and then next has two single beds. The living room is quite large and has a pull-out sofa bed. We do not use that but I there is definitely enough room for a blow-up .mattress. the kitchen is a nice-sized and has a bar where people can eat in addition to the kitchen table with seats 6. There is an enclosed deck with seatong and an uncovered deck with a grill. There is definitely enough space so people won't feel as though they're falling on top of each other. The beach is a very very short walk away. Decore is dated so for those of you who want a new monochromatic Gray look, you will be disappointed but it's not worth taking off even have a point because the walls are still seafoam green
