30th high school reunion. Great spot and I wld return. Den bedroom is right off main living space, no door, but bathroom nearby. As long as you know, it works well. Responsive host. Fantastic decks and views! Close to public water access.

This was a great place to chill out and spend time with family during the winter.

Beautiful home, loved the neighborhood! We had plenty of room for family to spread out and have some privacy. Kitchen was well equipped. We appreciated the host's recommendations for things to do and places to eat. One notable plus was the proximity to a spectacular wildlife refuge, a prime spot for birdwatchers!

We stayed here with a group of friends for the weekend as we attended a wedding in Newport. It was perfect! The location is excellent and the house is spacious, clean, comfortable, and has great views of the ocean/mansions. We would highly recommend staying here and would return again if the opportunity arises. Thanks for a great stay!

We had an extended family stay, the place worked out great for 3 families…

A reunion of old college roommates and significant others was held at the house. The house did not disappoint. It was extremely roomy and in a great location. The house has a great view and is only about 10 minutes from downtown Newport, groceries and local restaurants. Three of the four bedrooms are suites with private baths. One shares the bath with the main part of the house. All in all, a house that we would rent again.

Our son’s wedding weekend.
Fantastic stay—beautiful, spacious , well appointed home!! We had a very enjoyable stay here while attending our son’s weekend wedding. The location is great. The size of this home worked well for us (nice large bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms) and the amazing porches at every level. great spots for everyone to relax and catch a nice ocean breeze with views. Owner was extremely accommodating for our family and very responsive to our needs.

Great location
This property was a great location and set up for our friend get together. And great view of water and close to the beach. However, it wasn’t as clean as we would like, had no use of one side of garage cuz there was a car left there, some ac units and screens and/or windows were broken. There was an overflow of garbage outside when we arrived from last guests. No propane but the owner did have one delivered to us. Little things like that which we were surprised about as we paid for and it was advertised as a “luxury property”. I did run all this by the owner directly as well and he was appreciative of knowing all of this. In the end we all had a great time and would consider renting here again in the future once those issues are resolved.

Can’t beat the views!
Johns gorgeous home was perfect for our family group of 8. The house is so open & plenty of room for all of us. The huge windows make home bright & airy. Rooftop deck perfect for watching beautiful sunsets.

Great Location
Spacious home, beautiful water views from the decks, walking/biking distance to great beaches. A short drive to downtown Newport. A lot to do for the whole family. Nice, quiet neighborhood. The owner was very responsive. We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to returning.

Our family really enjoyed our stay
Our family had a great time during our stay. Great location. The house is well designed for a large group with plenty of together space and space to relax & read. The only negative was the lack of AC. There is one unit in master bedroom & one on lowest level. The rest of the rooms had only fans.

Renter Beware!!
I had booked this property in April for a September weekend for my sisters bachlorette. I was in contact with the owner through messaging up until the check in day. When we arrive to the house, there was 16 girls already staying the house. The Owner had double booked the property and was NO WHERE to be found when 16 other girls were stranded in the street with no where to go. The property manager who lives across the street came out and actually said "oh no, it happened again." Terrible experience with this property and the owner has not even reached out to me to show remorse or say he is sorry that he has ruined my sisters special weekend that will only happen once in her life.

Beautiful well furnished comfortable house
Rented this house as a home base for my sons wedding in Newport. It was very well located only minutes from the rehearsal dinner at Kempenaar’s and the wedding venue on the Wharf. Plenty of space for 20 adults and 5 grandkids.
Kitchen was pretty well stocked with essential . One issue was the ice maker was broken which is annoying with so many people at the house.
We had a question about the sheets for the pull out beds but a call to John had it resolved quickly
My family and friends that stopped by were very impressed with the layout and especially the rooftop deck which we used pictures of the Groom and wedding party. All in all it was a perfect place for ya and I highly recommend it.

The house is large. We had 11 adults staying here and we had plenty of room.
The only problem we had was with the air conditioning on the main floor. There were digital climate control panels but no cooling on the main floor. We were in Newport for a wedding and the bridesmaids did hair and makeup at this location. Cooling was critical.

Magnificent wedding week in Newport!
What a fabulous home! It was perfect for a week with my children and grandchild. It was so spacious and welcoming. There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably and the yard was big enough for us all to have games of bocce and spike ball. It was such a quick short walk to the beach and close to any amenities you might need. The balconies were great places to enjoy gathering and the upper deck was particularly amazing with its spectacular views. I thank John and his family for allowing us to stay in this beautiful home and I hope to return someday. Thanks again

Perfect house for a family gathering
We selected this house for a family gathering to celebrate a milestone birthday for my husband. Location is excellent with proximity to beaches, Cliff Walk and even a short walk (little less than 2 miles) to downtown Newport. The house is big a spacious, perfect for little kids, so it never felt like we were all on top of each other. Would certainly be back to this area next year!

Big beautiful home with incredible views
I rented this home for a March bachelorette party weekend. It was a big group of girls and everyone fit well and had enough space. The kitchen/ dining/ living room area is an open format which I did not realize- it was so spacious and perfect for entertaining. We loved all of the deck space and got amazing group photos on the rooftop!- the view looks right across to the cliff walk which was perfect. In the area we enjoyed the cliff walk, midtown oyster, and Newport blues cafe. The only trouble we ran into was that the master shower did not work and we had to run and grab gas for the grill- neither were a big deal at all. The owner was pretty responsive to my questions beforehand and sent me a text to check in during the weekend. I’m so glad we chose this house! It was perfect!

We had a great weekend in Middletown. It’s conveniently located, fairly well maintained, and good for a big group.

Great for family gathering
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful , comfortable home. There were 11 of us and we never felt crowded. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. The location is close to downtown Newport but in a peaceful neighborhood for quiet evenings together. The only disappointment was that we couldn’t get the gas fireplaces to work and the kitchen is missing some basic utensils for cooking but otherwise the home is perfect. Thank you

Amazing Views!
We booked this property for a place to stay for our daughter's wedding in Newport. Lots of room to entertain the bridal party. Close to Newport and Easton's Beach. The downstairs suite was perfect for our older daughter's family. The master has beautiful views from all windows. I wish we could have stayed longer! The property is also beautifully landscaped which provided great backdrops for pre-wedding photos. Thank you John for sharing your home!

Loved, loved, loved this home!!!
We rented this home for our daughter's Newport wedding. The home is as advertised. There was plenty of room, confortable beds, and great views. The home has plenty of sheets and towels, plates, glasses, pots and pans, and serving platters. The decks had great ocean views. We loved the open floor plan. The home was nicely furnished and very clean. The master bedroom, bathroom and walk in closet were magnificent. There is a deck off the master bedroom. The pictures do not do this home justice. The home is close to Easton Beach, the Cliff Walk and the Mansions and less than a 10 minute drive to downtown Newport. There are many children's beach toys in the 2 car garage. Parking was not an issue. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!! Loved, loved, loved this home!!!

Beautiful, spacious home with incredible views.
Our group stayed here for a bachelorette and had an amazing time. The house is spacious and accommodating - everything about the rental was easy and in great condition. A short uber to the Newport winery and downtown bars was the perfect balance to the quiet and intimate location. John was immediately responsive and kind. Highly recommend!

Great location and house
We went down to Newport for the half and full marathons and stayed in this house. It is a great house with everything you need to enjoy your stay! You can walk to 1st beach in about 20 minutes and Newport is just an hour or so walk or a 6 dollar Uber (not so bad in our opinion). John was very accessible to answer any questions we had and provided us with great advice on enjoying Newport before our arrival. Outdoor decks are awesome and the kitchen is perfect for cooking for a group. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house, great location
We had a large group of friends staying at the house for a wedding weekend in Newport. The house was clean and well-stocked with sheets and towels, and there was a lot of open space for our group. We loved the decks and thought the location was great. John was helpful and responsive prior to and during the weekend with any questions we had.
The only reason I wouldn't give the property 5 stars is that the grill didn't work properly-- it seemed like some of the burners were not heating up at all, which made it difficult for us to cook all of the hamburgers and hot dogs we had purchased. There were a couple of other small things-- no hair dryers or irons provided-- that John had told us about before we arrived, so we were able to bring our own, but for convenience's sake it would have been great if these items could have been already in the house.

Beautiful home
We had an amazing time at this house. Beautiful home and very nice neighborhood. John was very responsive and even helped with some of the plans when I needed suggestions on where to eat, etc. I cannot wait to stay in this house again!

This beautiful home was perfect for our vacation! The house is clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you could need- from linens and a keurig to beach gear. The location is perfect- across from the beach, water views, quick drive to Newport. The owner, John, responded quickly to any and all of our questions and had great recommendations to take full advantage of the area. I highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a relaxing, fun vacation in a beautiful home!

My friends and I (group of 12 adults) spent a weekend at this awesome beach house, which is close to Easton's Beach and a 5-10min drive from downtown Newport, RI. While the early April weather didn't completely cooperate, the house really helped to make our weekend enjoyable.
The house features a huge open living room/kitchen area, perfect for cooking and entertaining, but also just for hanging out. Everything was clean when we arrived, and the house is clearly well-maintained by the owner. Also, there is an amazing view of the beach and water from the house's decks! With 4 full bathrooms and enough beds and pullouts (plus bed linens and bath towels) to easily accommodate a party of 12, our stay was very comfortable. The garage and driveway easily fit 4 cars (more if you have small cars), eliminating any stress associated with trying to find parking.
Prior to our arrival, the owner provided us with a lot of useful information about the house, along with his recommendations on nearby tourists destinations, restaurants, and other attractions. The instructions for arriving and departing the property were also clear and concise. While I did not need to contact the owner during our stay, I felt that he was easily accessible if I needed to get in touch with him.
Other points related to our stay:
- Downtown Newport is a short 5-10min cab/Uber ride away (from our experience, $8-$10 one-way rides even during high-demand hours), perfect for a night out.
- We enjoyed Speakeasy Bar & Grill, Gas Lamp Grille, and One Pelham East for food, drinks, and live music/entertainment
- Local pizza place, Aquidneck Pizzeria & Bar, delivered and was good for a quick and easy meal
- Close to major tourist attractions, like the mansions etc.
- Newport Storm Brewery is a short drive away, great spot to check out if you're a beer fan
Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend John's property.
