Location was great very near to Ashibe Port, but if you have big bags arrange a pick up as it is a very steep hill to get to the guesthouse.

The owner is great, speaks English and always willing to help with everything!

The owner was extremely helpful and picked us up from the port, supermarket etc. He also organised e bikes for us and showed us the popular spots to ride to. Really nice and clean guesthouse with comfortable beds. Would highly recommend :) we had a great time riding around the island

Super kindly and friendly owner, old house reformed with modern functions and good design.
Location near Asahibe port, good view could look down the port.

The host was extremely friendly and helpful. They offer transport to and from the port if you don't come with your own transport. I stayed in the female dormitory and it was well kept.

Good size bed, great AC, big kitchen and fridge. Close to the port. The owner has great recommendations for sightseeing. The guesthouse is on a hill, providing a perfect view of the sunrise every morning. The owner can pickup and drop-off at the port to avoid the uphill walk and can arrange for an ebike for guests. I thoroughly recommend the bike if you're not driving. There's very little traffic and we'll built roads and pavements. A big supermarket within 15minutes walk of the guesthouse will provide everything you need.
The bed is very comfy.
I couldn't stay longer :)

- guesthouse is near from the ferry port. Reachable by foot.
- I happened to have stopped there the same day a marathon occured in Iki. So I met many marathon competitors in the guesthouse, all of them were kind and easy to talk to.
- the owner is the best: very helpful, he helped getting some food when it got dark arround the guesthouse, brought me to the ferry port by car.
- you can rent a scooter or an electric bicycle there, which is a must if you want to travel a bit in Iki. Don't miss it.
- the dormitory is clean, doesn't feel old, and the other rooms have a very nice atmosphere. You'll feel at home in no time.
- the equipment feels new, I didn't experience any trouble
- Not an issue for me, but there is only one common bath (with shower aside), which can be quite busy if there are many guests.

The owner provided such an amazing service for us. We had a great stay there.
There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like. Everything was very well organized and I really appreciated what they provided us with.

the owners are super nice and helpful. they took me to and from the ferry port for free of charge and I rented the scooter from them during my stay (the best way to explore the island)
also they gave me some good tips for sightseeing and restaurant.
this guest house is located on the hill with amazing view. they have good coffee machine and the kitchen equipments are great enough if you want to cook by yourself :)
very cozy for female solo traveler as well :)
and this island is wonderful.

A really nice hostel, the host Takuya is very accommodating and helps where he can, rarely experienced such hospitality. He picked me up from the port, took the time to answer my questions about the island and went through the map with me. The hostel is equipped with everything you need. The coffee machine was my friend.
I borrowed a scooter for my stay from Takuya, just driving around the island adds to the atmosphere and the island has also the perfect size for it. Generally speaking, without any kind of transport possibility (scooter, (e)bike etc.) it will be hard to get anywhere on the island in a reasonable time.
When it comes to alcohol Iki is known for Shōchū, but if you are interested in craft beer, there is a small brewery in Katsumoto called Island Brewery with very good beer. You can also get a few varieties at the big local supermarket near the hostel.
And as always in a dorm room, sleeping depends heavily on your roommates, like snoring and so on.

Nice location, amazing host. Was of great help, very accommodating and flexible with check in/out timings, provided tips for sightseeing, even gave me a small souvenir to take home! Recommended for solo travellers

They offer a lot of different services that help make your experience on Iki more enjoy, such as gas scooters to take around and even an array of retro game consoles for you to kill time after you're done exploring and ready to relax before going to bed.

Helpful and very friendly staff, who drove use to the various parts of the island. Beautiful living room with retro video game consoles. Beds are big, comfortable and have curtains and walls to separate each other. Wonderful location, atop of a hill but within walking distance from beautiful beaches and the supermarket.

This is our second time staying at Takuya’s hostel. Our first was just two months ago. We love this place so much that we brought our friends to experiece the island as well and of course, stay at this amazing place. Takuya and Natsumi, again, went above and beyond with their service. It rained on our 2nd day but he was nice enough to send us to places since we couldn’t ride our e-bikes. Such a generous and accommodating guy. The service we got was way more than what we paid for. We also made some friends while staying at his place. We’re thinking of coming back here on a regular basis. :)

Incredibly friendly owner willing to go above and beyond for the guests. Cute place with a great view.
Warning: walls are very thin. There was a very loud group of Japanese locals talking and laughing in the common area until midnight which is right next to the women’s dorm. Old house so poor insulation. Earplugs are a must.
