Loved our stay at this ski in/out home! Very unique layout with lots of stairs to help keep your legs ready for a day on the slopes! Also, beautiful views of the mountain from inside the home and hot tub!

Absolutely incredible house! So much space, very clean, huge kitchen and dining table. Dinners were epic! We all loved being able to be together comfortably during meals. Hot tub was a great bonus. Perfect ski-in/ski-out location. I hope to book again!

Great location Aspen Snowmass. We were a group of nine guys with a bed for everyone. Large living room and Dining table. Would have liked unit to have large propane grill as the only supplied is a smaller charcoal grill.
Your party must be able to climb stairs as they are multiple levels to this home.
Also getting in and oit of some tub showers requires a large step up.

We needed a place with lots of bedrooms for our extended family attending a wedding in Aspen. The house had everything we needed. It is well equipped and comfortably furnished with lots of privacy and a great view of the mountains. On the whole it was a great place to stay, However, because the house is built on a slope, rooms are on many different levels so you must climb a lot of stairs to get around. This could be problematic for people who have problems with stairs, especially if you are not used to the altitude. Also, the shower/whirlpool bath in one of the bathrooms was difficult to get in and out of.

Beautiful Home. Large and spacious. The wonderful thing about it was location. We saw bear and deer from our kitchen window. Everything was spacious and room. I will echol some of the other reviews when they said there are no window coverings so the sun gets you up at 5AM. The house has stairs to everything (there are 4 levels). The kitchen is well equipped for cooking for a large family (our family is 10 people). My only kitchen comment was that the oven (Bosch) was stuck at 350 degrees and would not change. I called property management and they were addressing the issue.
I would definitely ro-book this house for our family

This was a fantastic property for a large group for a ski trip. House is well set up, stunning views and fantastic proximity to the ski runs.

Great accommodations. Great views. Mgr. accommodated our complicated 3 family schedule. Easy access to skiing. Downside was lack of window treatments to screen out sunrise.

perfect size for the number of skiers we had

This is a unique property! Views were gorgeous, and the ski in/ski out access was excellent (though not for the very weakest skiers). Kitchen worked great, and the mudroom area for heading out to the slopes worked very well. The decor in the house is distinctive; I kinda enjoyed it, but others found it too weird. The two big minuses are that there are almost no window shades (prepare for early starts!) and that there are lots of steps. Almost every room is on its own floor, with lots of half-flights of stairs connecting them. Between the elevation and some skied-out legs, the stairs became a bit of a chore by the end. And my 9-month-old nephew needed constant supervision; luckily my 2.5-year-old nephew was safe on stairs. With all the pluses -- including nicely responsive management -- I'd consider staying here again, but I'd pack eyeshades for everyone and probably go elsewhere with little kids.

The house is perfectly situated ski in/out at Snowmass. The trail is literally 3 feet outside the front door!
The house functioned well with lots of cookware, spices, a fantastic fireplace, and room for everyone!
We had a great time and would return for sure!

Easy to ski in/out. Lots of space and flexible bed arrangements make it easy to accommodate a large group.

Beautiful house in an amazing location. It was a pleasure to stay here. The only downside was that we only found 7 beds in bedrooms and 3 couches in the living room rather than 10 beds in bedrooms as expected.

Great house. Layout encourages everyone to gather in the very large LR and/or kitchen. Very good parking. Cars are a necessity since the house is off the shuttle route; Dial-A-Ride available with reservation. If it snows, snowplow comes late in the morning. Not suitable for beginning skiers or small children since path to slope is thru trees.

Ski in ski out is about 200 feet from the front door, right on a main run. Easy to get in and out, mid mountain, breathtaking views of the area from the living room and kitchen. Tons of stairs and an interesting layout, but plenty of room for 10 adults and a few kids. Nothing bad to say about this lovely place.

Great location
Like many in the area the home is extremely dated. The location is the thing. We have two couples plus grown kids. I assumed with 5 BRs there would be at least two with double beds. No. One king and the other bedrooms are all twin beds. The listing is accurate but I didn’t notice that ahead of time. Another assumption I made was that there would be a normal check out time. We were all fully packed by 10am but found out all oyr flights had been cancelled because a plane had skidded off the runway. While I wenyt in search of a way to get home my friend stayed with the rest of the family. The management company became irate when she was still there while the cleaning crew was working. She called me really shaken by how he had spoken with her. She got everyone out immediately. I noticed niw I’ve been reviewed as a guest for the first time so I assume this is the reason. I’ve been both and owner and a renter on vrbo for many years and I don’t want anything to affect my ability to continue. So I’m leaving the full story just in case. Other than the lack of bedrooms for two couples we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and i do apologize for my misunderstanding about check out time. The sudden cancelled flights did throw us all off since we were all heading back to different parts of the country, there were no rental cars or shuttles, nowhere to go, etc. Will not happen again.

Great family ski vacation-awesome views and location
LOCATION: Wow! Great spot on the mountain with beautiful unobstructed views! We enjoyed sitting around the large dining table watching the sun rise/set. A grocery or pizza run is a quick trip down and back. Ski out was perfect and drops right on Adams Avenue a short ski to the Gondola/Snowmass Village. Ski in is dependant upon snow since you ski down the road to get back in. It is a short [easy] walk down the road, if there is not enough snow to ski in. We came back for lunch on the days that we skied Snowmass and enjoyed a break and the awesome view.
LAYOUT: The space was great for our 2 families (7 adults; 22-63 years old). Note that the 5th 'bedroom' is actually a space a floor below the living room area with 2 trundle beds and does not have a door for privacy. It can share the master bath (on the same floor). There are a lot of steps, which wasn't an issue for our group (once we adapted to the altitude) but something to be aware of. This actually provides privacy between the bedrooms since they are on different levels.
The ski room was large and perfect for all of us to leave our gear hung on the hooks and in the cubbies and finish dressing then pop out the door.
AMENITIES: The kitchen has enough dishes, pans and utensils to stay in and cook a nice meal and it was a huge plus to have a wide assortment of spices to use. The oven did not cook evenly and kept beeping that the door was open (it was not). It was very small so most of the available pans did not fit into the oven. This was just a minor inconvenience that we worked around.
The grill was a charcoal grill (not a gas grill) so be sure to buy charcoal if you want to grill anything. It would be nice to have chairs on the deck with the grill.
The hottub was wonderful after a day of skiing and we enjoyed the beautiful views while we soaked our aches away.
The bed pillows are very flat and could stand to be replaced and some nice spare blankets provided. As others have said, the decor is dated but we felt this lent it a unique charm so this did not bother us at all. The master shower was difficult to get in and out of since it was a massive tub with a very high side to get over.
OTHER: Resortia was easy to deal with and was responsive to my questions. The property manager came by to check the hot tub the day of our arrival and answered our questions on ski in/out.
We all agreed that we would definately stay here again for a ski trip!

Atlanta Travelers
This old Victorian beauty is straining mightily to hold onto its once magnificent good looks, and it did a wonderful job for our family on our recent four day vacation stay in terms of its spaciousness and functionality. It’s just getting past its prime. Actually, our stay would have been perfect had it not been for the fact that we had sleepless nights due to very loud intermittent banging coming from the lowest levels of the three story house starting around midnight and continuing until daylight. Our family thought it might anything from a family of raccoons or other form of nocturnal wildlife to someone breaking in to, yes, haunted spirits. Upon reporting these strange noises to the property manager he said ours was the first such complaint he’d ever received and dismissed it as most likely just a noisy water boiler.
The sleepless nights aside we very much enjoyed our stay and the beauty and grace of an old mansion!

Excellent Ski In & Out
We had a wonderful stay while in Snowmass. The access to the mountain was as described and easy to get on and off. We also found the separation of the guest rooms provided plenty of privacy and quiet from the activity upstairs. We hope to return next season and maybe even in the summer.

Wonderful Ski-in/out house
Our family stayed here for 5 nights of excellent Snowmass skiing. Some reviewers have mentioned the decor was not what they hoped for, but I liked the warm feeling of the house and the care they did put into the house long ago. The house is on a steep lot which necessitates many stairs to maximize usable space. The two-car garage and two front parking spaces were quite handy. The mud room was plenty big for 5-6 people to get their boots on at the same time and was kept warm so everyone's wet gloves and boots were dry by morning. The big dining table could fit 10 people no problem and the living room was spacious with agood sized flat panel TV. The rooms are functional good sized. To ski-out one can go from the front door down an intermediate level slope out to Adams Avenue, a groomed blue run down to Village Express, no problem. The Ski-in istarts on Adams Avenue just below the 2nd bridge where you duck under the rope and ski down to the road. All the amenities worked fin and the hot tub was nicely situated under the bottom floor so it was protected from weather but has a great view.
