Lots of charm. Ideally located in the Plaka close to everything.

The view from the kitchen was amazing! The rooms had a very cool vibe and AC in the bedrooms was helpful, especially with the heat wave. Short walk to everything in the Plaka district made it a most enjoyable experience.

What a great place! You are in thebheart of the Plaka neighborhood and withing walking distance to all major tourist stops as well as very close to shopping and restaurants. The loaction itself is on a quiet street and has a great view of the Acropolis from the back kitchen.
The apartment is fairly dated, but has a a lot of charm. The only real downside was that the bathroom didnt have a shower.

What an interesting apartment filled with art and curiosities. Thankfully there were a/c units in the bedrooms as Athens was scorching! Perfect walking distance to the bustle of Plaka!

Our family loved the apartment. It was clean, fit us comfortably and very charming. It is located in Plaka and with teens it was great location as we could walk everywhere and it was safe so they could go on their own. The manager of the apartment greeted us and showed us around the apartment. We also got a great list of recommendations for places to eat.

This space needs updating. The location is great, and the unit is fun. We LOVED THE ART, and the view out back window was fun, but the couch has springs falling through bottom, so living room is unusable. The middle bedroom mattresses have springs popping up through them and had to be covered in layers of blankets. That bed left bruises on a room mate. The worst part of the unit was the shower!!!!! That bathroom had a leaky washer machine (other bathroom sink occasionally leaked too), the shower had mushrooms growing from plaster, an absolutely unacceptable shower curtain covered in mold that smelled of body odor, and a shower wand that falls down. We were forced to shower with the curtain open and be very careful to not get room wet. Also I’m not sure anyone has actually ever cleaned the tub with soap scum remover. It was bad. Also hot water situation left much to be desired.
For the price, the location was a success!

The house was exactly as described, very close to the center of everything. Hosts were super responsive for the little issues that popped up, like how to open the front door when it expanded due to the heat. Definitely recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. As we were traveling with luggage, the fact that there was an elevator directly into the apartment was a great bonus as there are quite a few steps up to the second floor.
The view out the back of the Acropolis is spectacular!
Communication and accommodation from the owners was splendid and helpful.
Two notes for folks who have a rental car: the streets in the immediate area of the apartment are VERY narrow and not for the faint of heart! Also, parking on the street is not allowed, but there is a parking lot (about $25/day) just around the corner and actually visible from the kitchen.
We highly recommend this property, especially to those looking for short walk to dozens of great eateries.

This three bedroom, 1 1/2 bath apartment had plenty of space for the two of us. Luckily, we arrived early, climbed the stairs with our luggage, and the cleaning guy let us in the front door. He was surprised that we had not used the elevator. We were surprised to find out there was an elevator that opened right into the apartment! From then on, we used the elevator, always being careful about the narrow landing in the lobby outside the elevator door. That would be an easy spot to tumble down half of a flight of stairs.
The cleaning guy also showed us the trick to using the washing machine - plug it into the outlet outside the bathroom door next to the light switch. There was no washing machine detergent, but we had brought some Tide powder with us, so that was not a problem.
I forgot to ask the cleaning guy how to use the stove, and I never could figure out how to light it. Since it was gas, I was cautious about doing something wrong. We were only there a couple of days and did not actually want to cook, so that was fine.
After having been on a cruise for seven days with only a shower, I was looking forward to a hot bath, but I never found a plug for the drain in the tub. If we get a chance to come back to Athens, I will bring a tub stopper so I can soak out the kinks from all that suitcase hauling.
This would be a great place to stay if we come back to Athens with other family and friends. There was plenty of room for a larger group. It was a unique property that blew our minds with all the cool old furnishings. It definitely is a "vintage" house.

If you like being in an actual neighborhood and also being close to a little shopping and great places to eat this is the location for you. The apt is beautifully decorated with period furniture and artwork and the appliances work and yes, they are the older variety, which we think adds to the charm. We literally could see the Acropolis out the kitchen door and at night sat on the small balcony in the front.
Should also mention that we arranged our transportation with this hospitality group and our driver was so spectacular that we hired his company for private tours and our return trip to the airport. We highly encourage connecting with the plaka owners for your transportation needs. Enjoy!

Such a unique, charming, and beautiful place! Wish we could have stayed longer. Wonderful location as well!

No one could meet us at check in but unfortunately 3 men did and helped themselves to my husband's wallet. Not a great beginning. I love the idea of this spacious beautiful place - but it is an old dame that needs to be restored and upgraded. The beds were clean and comfortable which is why I gave it 2 stars - otherwise it would have been less. The furniture in the main rooms are fairly dirty and worn. One chair has a leg that is partly folded under. A table lamp is held together by strings. The kitchen appliances are fairly old - the microwave is ancient. There was no tv - John said he'd send a new one over - never did. So not great service and not good quality. The best thing was the view out of the kitchen and back bedroom window of the Acropolis. Oh yes - there was construction every day beginning at 6:30 AM .

Perfect location in the Plaka
The apartment is spacious and very well decorated. Every turn there was something beautiful to see. The beds were comfortable and the AC was a big hit as it was hot in Greece. The light fixtures and the art work were amazing! It really felt like a well curated home and I would definitely stay there again. It is in a convenient location to explore Athens. The team that helped us before our stay and during it were always available and helpful!

Loved the space and the location.
Great location and a very interesting “vintage” apartment complete with drawing rooms, sitting rooms and a wonderful array of art and collectibles. Walking distance to almost everything and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. One suggestion. There was definitely a scarcity of wine glasses, cooking and dining amenities.

Very special stay in the heart of Athens
Historic apartment at an amazing location. Our children (12 and 9) loved staying here. They said it was like living in a museum :). 3 comfortable, but modern bedrooms, slightly outdated 1.5 baths, charming kitchen and amazing dining room, living and sitting rooms. Add to it a library with a piano and you have an unforgettable stay in Athens.

This stunning apartment is just as beautiful as the photos--its like stepping into a time capsule! We didnt mind the hot Athens afternoons because retreating to this quiet apartment was such a delight. While its just a few blocks away from the Plaka and a short walk to the Acropolis, its on a quiet residential street. There are many delicate things on display, but it was fine with our older kids (5 and 9, though it might be more stressful with young toddlers) and in fact they loved going around the house and looking at the incredible paintings, prints, and objects darts. It really felt like a privilege to stay here. Thank you!
