About this cottage rental
Oak Cottage is a beautiful holiday home nestled at the foot of the North Downs on the outskirts of Maidstone in a small village called Harrietsham. We are known for our outstanding views, abundant wildlife and fantastic walks. We are located on a small holding with Alpacas, Pigs a sheep called Boo and various birds which you are more than welcome to pet and feed. Oak Cottage is light and airy with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and large patio doors leading to an open plan kitchen lounge area with everything you need for a comfortable stay. A hallway leads onto a separate large shower room and three bedrooms. The master bedroom, with a king-sized bed, is decorated in a cool colour scheme. Along the hall is another charming and pretty double bedroom decorated in a country cottage design which can be made into 2 single beds. The third bedroom has a double bed with a single bed above for added guests. Outside the cottage, there is a secluded patio and garden area with a table and seating for six people.

I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed staying here. The house was clean, inviting, warm, and well positioned for comfort. The hostess set out fresh baked bread and muffins, butter, milk, eggs, coffee—everything we needed for a delicious breakfast to get our mornings going. The linens were soft and fresh, and beds were quite comfortable. We absolutely will stay here in the future!

Rented two cottages, Oak and Willow for big family stay. Fantastic week. Great cottages, super friendly management (and great baking!) and a wonderful location for walks and sightseeing!

Lovely and clean. The added bonus is the alpacas which the children got to feed. Homemade cakes, butter, bread and milk on arrival was such a lovely touch. The hot tub is also amazing

We had the most wonderful stay at our little cottage in Harrietsham! Laurain was a lovely host and delighted us with delicious homemade muffins and fresh eggs from her hens. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We really could not have asked for more for our holiday!

We had a lovely stay with our 3 grandchildren. The property was delightful, with the Alpacas in the field next to us. Laurain was lovely. She let the kids feed the animals ( Pigs, Alpacas, Turkeys) , which they loved. Minutes from Leeds Castle and lots of lovely walks. The chalet was spacious, clean and well equipped . Highly recommended

A very nice house. Well suited for a company of 5. The number of (large) pots and pans ans especially lids is too few, if you want to cook for yourself. For the rest very well equipped. Beware: Extras (wood for the hot tub, an extra day for the house) are quite expensive. Harrietsham is quite small. The co-op however is sufficient. No need to go any further. The circular walk is nice.

Absolutely Fantastic In Every Sense!
There would never be a review system lengthy enough for me to explain how amazing this property and its owners were when we stayed! While we were in Kent for work purposes I can truly say that Stable Oak cottages made it feel more like a holiday. Laurain was an absolutely beautiful host who we couldn't recommend enough. She made us feel so welcome and truly at home, to the point where after a days work I would find myself saying 'lets go home'. I would and will continue to recommend this property and experience to anyone. Thank you to you all, we really did not want to leave and hope to return very soon.

Top Notch Stay
We had a great stay in Oak Cottage over the Jubilee weekend. The cottage had everything we needed and more: hot tub, front row view of the farm animals, BBQ and fresh milk, bread, eggs, butter and muffins on arrival! The kitchen was well stocked for home cooking and all the rooms were clean and comfy. Laurain was super friendly and on hand for anything we needed including more logs to heat the log-burning hot tub. Our group of friends plus greyhound would definitely recommend this cottage to groups of friends or families!

Excellent family break in Oak Cottage
Beautifully kept holiday cottage run by friendly helpful owners. Our year old grandson loved being taken to feed the alpacas, not to mention Bella the pig.
The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. We all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub.

Beautiful setting, great property!
We stayed in Oak cottage, an absolute gem of a property! We arrived really early but it was no problem for the host Lauraine who couldn't have been more kind and welcoming.
Property was clean, plenty big enough overlooking amazing views and gorgeous animals. (With the added hot tub which the children loved!)
Lauraine took the children to collect eggs and pet the animals, she was so lovely.
We would 100% recommend and would return again!

Absolutely fantastic!
What a stay, we all had such a great time. Nothing was too much bother for Laurain, from offering to put the hot tub on for us in time for when we got back to allowing our 3 and 4 year old children help feed the animals. The cottage is beautiful, really cosy and we were left some fresh bread, bacon, butter and cakes which was such a nice touch.
The hot tub is a great addition.
Thank you so much for having us, we will definitely be back.

A wonderful family trip
This trip was to meet out first born grandson who lives nearby. We came down as a family and laurain already had the hot tub on for us after the long drive. The fridge fridge was filled with locally produced butter bacon and milk. And it was a nice touch the fresh bread. There was home made date and banana muffins which took the arrival to the next level. Delicious The host was great the following day and took time out of her day to take all of us to visit the animals. River was able to say Alpaca for the first time so his mum thought she was winning on the visit! Bella was the friendly pig who loved to be brushed and have her tummy rubbed, she also enjoyed the apples we gave her.
The cottages was immaculate so many thoughtful touches like the childrens cutlery and plates having the heating on for us when we arrived. The beds were so comfortable we all slept well. And it was so lovely to buy some honey too. We leave refreshed and very thankful.

Family break
Lovely rustic cottage with a hot tub too! Excellent location for local walks and close pubs and amenities. My girls loved the alpacas and I loved the proximity of the walking to great pubs like the Ringlestone and Dirty Habit. The cottage location is also a short drive from lots of tourist spots like Leeds Castle.

Pleasant short break
Short break staying near family. The property was well located with a private garden with hot tub (enjoyed by the kids). Location good for walks onto the North Downs or visiting Leeds castle. Green space and animals gave a nice relaxed feel. Property bright with enough space and good wifi.

Absolutely faultless.
Amazing surroundings and hospitality. I will definitely go again and hopefully for a longer period next time. Hope to see Laurain and Mick in the not too distant future.
