The house exceeded our expectations (the pictures don’t do it justice online). Lake was beautiful, canoes being available was a major plus, and Tim was a very responsive host. Check in and checkout were seamless.
One downside was that the lakeside area is shared space with the other rental house - which is not a problem until it is. On the first day. the party staying at the other house took slight issue with us sharing the space, which led to an awkward start to the weekend. Wasn’t a big problem overall.

We loved the setting and especially the hot tub!! So lovely and secluded. The house was well set up with a nice kitchen and bedrooms. We hope to come back!

This place was great for our Sunday river ski trip with friends. Great location, about 20 minute drive to the mountain.

Lovely house on the lake for a weekend getaway!

Quaint and affordable. A little outdated but didn’t take away from the great time we had. Definitely bring a mattress topper as the beds are a bit… stiff. Other than that great experience.

I was nice, everything worked .
House is so adorable but in need of some deep cleaning and some extra T.L.C.

We had a nice weekend at the country house. Due to the cold weather some of the pipes froze and I had to go into the basement and direct a heater and fan into a crawl space to help thaw them out. The house was sufficient for what we needed, but it is in need of an update. We probably won't be visiting that area of Maine again, but if we did I'm not sure if we would stay at that location. Not because of the house, more we would want to be closer to the ski mountains. It was very close to the Mineral Museum of Maine, which was incredible.

We had a blast at this cozy house in Maine! The pond was gorgeous & our favorite parts were the fireplace and hot tub. A very quaint and pleasant experience - we would definitely stay again.

The house had everything we needed to stay and cook meals and the hot tub was great. The fireplace was nice too.
The steps weren't shoveled of snow, some recycling was left behind from previous guests, and the oven was dirty enough we felt we had to clean it before use. Other than that, everything about the house was dated (except the new hot tub) but does the job. So good house to stay at but could use better maintenance.

The property looked very quaint from the pictures. Inside it feels tired and in need of updates and cleaning.
As we walked in we couldn't help but notice a strong, stale and sour smell (more than just an old house smell) that permeated the whole house. We opened windows and used fans which helped a little. By the second day the smell was only an annoyance but not terrible. Although only some of the windows opened, many of those needed to be propped open. Some window blinds were broken or absent. Dishwasher and washer and dryer were very helpful. New deck and hot tub were a wonderful place to hang out and stargaze.
Having a first floor full bath was very handy especially coming in from the pond.
At one point we thought we had a possible safety issue and the owners responded quickly with information that eased our fears.
It would have been good to have a property instruction booklet to explain all the "how to's". We did not know which pier and equipment we could use. Was the firepit by the pond available to us? Etc.
If these issues could be resolved we could see this house and pond as a "go to" place for future wonderful vacations.

House is older and in need of repairs but that is somewhat reflective in the price. The cleaners/management were great. Found it odd with the dock sharing process but overall was a good stay.

Like so many this year, we had to cancel our original summer plans, but were very fortunate to find this place. We enjoyed a week long stay, with canoeing, swimming, games, hiking and hot tub. The house had everything we needed. It's true to the photos - dated furnishings, but spacious and has everything you need for a week at the lake. My only critique is that the floors were left fairly dirty from the previous renter (with obvious confetti everywhere). It was a little strange, as the rest of the house had clearly been cleaned before our arrival - just the floors were a bit of a mess. We swept up and enjoyed the week.

Lake is very nice, has strong current & wind, if have small kids that are not great swimmers use caution. The house is not clean other than the beds being made, the rooms are dusty, the bathroom had mold on floor. Tile was cracked/chipped and insects on ceiling in other. The dishes were dirty, and the jacuzzi had debris in it, Unsure if cleaned from last guests:-(, several broken electrical outlets. After second call into owner he returned call, seemed nice said would address my concerns and never called back! I ATTEMPTED contact 2x more times and he NEVER returned my calls. The barbecue was falling apart and all grease. Bottom line: location great but house needs cleaning and upkeep. I do not feel worth the price paid per night for condition of exterior and interior of lodging. My family felt unsettled sleeping & eating in these conditions. Pictures are misleading.

We had a group of 7! The location is great the hot tub was amazing but we had ask for no cleaning fee which we still had to pay no big deal but when we got there the place was not clean we started to clean ourselves when we were told someone would be there to clean after us doing it for over an hour...... we did not get any type of refund and it’s a little disappointing
