Had a wonderful time. So enjoy Burnsville but the place can use updating.

Super nice cabin and the most comfortable bed and pillows you will find. Very quiet daytime and night. Minutes from everything in town.

The cabin was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The host was very responsive and helpful. The king size foam mattress was very soft and the pillows were large.
The air conditioners and floor fan were adequate at cooling the house. The kitchen was very good, as were the washer & dryer. There is a nice front porch but some side deck boards need replacing. The yards of the adjacent homes are untidy, but we enjoyed seeing horses in a nearby field and the view of a mountain. It was a great location for hiking in the area.

Communication was excellent! Property was very clean with well stocked kitchen, bath, and laundry. So happy to have a large fan + A/C in 2 spots with temps near 90! Lovely porch for coffee time in the morning & great walking distance up the hill to library and Playhouse - we visited both!

Everything as expected. Clean and comfortable, and convenient to everything in town.

This is truly a cabin in the city. It has quick access to the nearby food/grocery store while also being thirty minutes from great hiking spots. The front yard is enclosed and allows plenty of room for your dog to be able to chill outside without worry. The house itself is clean and well-stocked with supplies that you might need while there, and it has a view of the mountains when looking to the right of the house. The town square has a few cute shops to browse through, and the nearby Garden Deli restaurant is really good. We really enjoyed our time staying at the “cabin in the city” and hope to return one day.
My friend, dog, and I stayed here for a hiking trip. We hiked the Roaring Fork Falls Trail which was thirty minutes from the house - highly recommend! We then drove to Mt Mitchell which was also thirty minutes from the house. However, plan for a full hour to get to the top of Mt Mitchell if you want to hike the Overlook Trail and the Balsam Nature Trail (also highly recommend) as it takes thirty minutes to just drive up the mountain.

Only concern was neighbors dogs. They were chained but still scary when walking small dogs. Cabin itself was great.

In the hospitality industry, things don’t always go perfect. Sometimes things just happen that we have to roll with. The hosts and I did just that. They were apologetic over something minor and I helped how I could and hopefully made things easier on them. We can’t control every little detail, but we can control how we respond. I recommend this rental, it was adorable, the fenced in yard was a bonus!

Fantastic House; it felt like we were home. The host provided everything we needed, even welcome snacks. We decided to stay another night, which was super simple to extend.
What a fantastic place, can't wait to book again!

We enjoyed our visit, wish the owner had fully informed us that the cabin has a permanent resident in the basement. It was okay, the full time resident is very quiet, we just prefer full disclosure, especially when renting a stand alone house/cabin.

We enjoyed our weekend stay at this house. It was equipped with everything that a traveler would need. I wish that we would have brought our dogs. They would have loved the fenced in yard!

Pros: close to town; easy to find; kitchen and living areas seemed clean.
Cons: did not realize would be sharing house. My dog paced all night because hearing house noises and proximity unknown dog. Want to be clear that housemate and her dog were lovely, just unexpected. Immediate neighbors adjacent uphill have a real and true junkyard on their lawn. I did not expect to be living next to a slum. Just made me a little nervous. And my dog, again, on high alert. One last is that master bedroom has clear pet stains. Normally I could ignore but found my dog, trained from a puppy, started to mark so stains not cleaned. At 10 years has never had an accident in my home. Really. I cleaned best I could. Not sure what you do @ this and allow pets do this hard thing I think.
Owner responsive and helpful. Overall a mixed bag. Not sure I would rent again but town has limited choices.

I was climbing Mt. Mitchell with my mom and needed a place for two nights to prep and rest afterwards. Exactly what I needed! It’s very spacious with 2 bedrooms I only needed one. :) neighborhood is quiet so got to sleep in for 12 hrs after our 6 hr 48 min climb. Good food nearby. Hosts are awesome with good communication. I live a few miles from this property, but we had major bridge repairs on the access road to our home, so my husband and I decided to give ourselves a Valentine's Day gift by moving into town for a few days. Christine was very prompt in answering every question. Just a perfect get-away. Our dog Lucy was happy to be with us. It was nice to see Burnsville from the downtown perspective.

Host was helpful and warm. It was nice to meet someone who wasn't scared of our dog as well. The property was well maintained and worked great for us. We went for our Birthday weekend to enjoy some adrenaline junkie time and some nature time. Also, the house is close to town and you can walk to all sorts of good food whether for lunch or breakfast. We will come back if we make it to the area.

Great place to stay. So easy to get to many areas of interest, including Mt Mitchell, Asheville, many waterfalls, hiking trails, etc. Additionally, being in town, we were able to walk to great local shops, restaurants, the grocery store, etc. Burnsville is small enough to retain its charm and quiet atmosphere, but big enough that we could spend several hours each day strolling through town. Our housing had everything we would need. The wifi and TV came in handy on a rainy and cold day. I would highly recommend.

We spent a weekend in this tidy house near plenty of conveniences in Burnsville. We had a lovely trip, and our children and dogs loved the porch and the yard. The considerate owner even left snacks in the kitchen and a book of menus, too. Great trip!
