Local attractions
Inverloch is a popular seaside holiday spot, 2 hours’ drive from Melbourne. Conditions for canoeing and water-skiing are excellent and the winds from Bass Strait make sailing and sailboarding ideal. Those keen on surfing have only to make their way around Point Smythe on the isthmus, to the more turbulent waters of Venus Bay.
The calm beaches along Anderson Inlet are ideal for families and relaxation, or a surf beach for the more adventurous holiday maker. Sections of the beach are dog friendly. There’s also fishing, wind surfing, diving and boating opportunities. As a top tourist destination, Inverloch and its surrounds offer plenty of activities, eating options and rainy day fillers. It is only 45 minutes’ drive away from Wilsons Promontory which is the ideal spot for a National park day trip. It’s also close to Phillip Island and the famous penguin parade. Wonderful sights can be appreciated along this route.
For a little exercise why not take the 1.5km Screw Creek Nature Walk. This walk will take you through grasslands and white mangroves. It begins near the foreshore caravan park. There are also several rail trails to enjoy a good cycle, one starting at Wonthaggi that works it's way to Phillip Island and another from Leongatha to Port Welshpool.
Wonthaggi, just 12km west on the Bass Highway, offers all the regional centre shopping options, services and recreation activities you’ll need during your Inverloch stay.
For jazz lovers Inverloch has a festival dedicated to the genre on the Labour Day long weekend. A street parade and plenty of bands will keep you entertained.
Inverloch has great places to eat, 2 hotels, supermarket, bakeries & much more!

Great location, clean accommodations, comfortable stay. Loved the backyard and easy access to shops and beach. Ideal for families and highly recommended.

Cute little cottage and was clean, but the smell as we entered put us both off immediately and also we did not know that we needed to bring our own linen and towels. We were booked in and paid up for 4 nights. We left after about 1/2 an hour. We let the owner know that we could not stay because of the smell. He offered us some linen at a cost but the linen looked as if it had been in the cupboard for a long time and would not be fresh. We contacted Stayz and explained the above, and asked if it was possible for a refund. They said they would get back to us after speaking to the owner but they never did and the owner said "Good luck with that". Very bad experience.

Basic but comfortable and charming little property, with everything you need. Additional nice touches like a wood fire outside with wood provided. Easy walking distance to the sea and to town and all the festival venues and eateries we wanted to get to. Would definitely stay again!

Hi, charming little house but it had everything we needed. Just one recommendation- pls fix the back sliding door. It gets really stuck and made a lot of noise to get in and out. A bit of a challenge for winter....but thankyou, we had a great time

We enjoyed our 3 day stay the house had everything we needed, clean tidy, very close to all Inverloch has to offer,
Enjoyed the short walk to the pier to visit the resident sting rays.
And easy stroll to the cafes for a coffee.

Once a year three mates go on a "boys weekend".
We hike, we cook, we drink, we talk.
For us it's about sleeping somewhere clean and warm, this place ticked the box.
We liked the proximity to the Prom, and many other wilderness coastal walks near by.
We'll be back!!!

This little beach cottage is very centrally located in Inverloch, with some heritage history attached to it. While on the simpler side, it was well looked after and clean, and it has plenty of room for 6 people (3 bedrooms, one of those is an annexe). We especially loved the garden that also had a covered patio so we could sit outside even if it was raining.

Great location and clean comfortable accomodation.
We loved the backyard and even spotted a koala while sitting on the back patio.

Clean, cosy place in really great location. Maintenance issue popped up, owner was responsive. I would have preferred the rear doors better secured in the frames. But can’t fault a budget price in a central location where you can walk to anything.

The holiday house was old, but it had been renovated and in really good clean condition. I dont understand why a service fee was charged when they required us to vacuum the place. I think the rent should have covered it.

Pluses
superb location, short walk to beach and shops.
quiet street.
very affordable price ( a pleasant change from all the other overpriced options on the market )
nice simple backyard with outdoor table & chairs, shady tree and lawn for the kids to play around.
easy off street parking, open air but partly shaded in afternoon by neighbour's tree.
despite being a cosy house, it has plenty of bedding for a family of 5 or 6, or up to 7 if both queen sized beds are shared.
Minuses
musty smell in living room.
kitchen and bathroom very old, but understandable given the price. this is not a luxury house. the 2 back sliding doors have locks that feel like they are almost falling apart.
don't leave kitchen window open at night. there must be holes in the fly screen as we were inundated with huge number of large flying insects one night when watching TV.
the 3rd bedroom is semidetached from the rest of the house and you need to leave the rear of the house to enter it via the backyard. but then to access the toilet & bathroom at night you need to go back into the house, which means either leaving the backdoor unlocked at night ( which I never do at home.... ) or having to lock it and unlock it repeatedly which is a bit awkward if you have kids and there's only 1 set of keys.
