About this house rental
This century old home sits just one block from the historical Beach Drive - Alki Beach! We just finished renovating the kitchen in February 2020! Not only close to the beach but close to coffee shops, many restaurants, and a fun park with play structure and tennis courts. With a short drive or water taxi to downtown Seattle, this home is the perfect vacation stay for a family or 2 couples. No need for a car on this vacation if you want to explore the city by bike and by water. The West Seattle Water Taxi is 2.5 miles down the boardwalk. The main floor has a queen sized bed and full bath while the downstairs has a king bed, and a 3/4 bath with shower. There's also a single bed in a nook perfect for a child/young teen. Alki Beach is a very popular Seattle destination. *There is not designated parking for this home. It's first come, first serve, street parking.

I loved this house so much. It had everything I needed to feel exceptionally at home (plus, the location--a block from Alki Beach--can't be beat). And, the hosts were very kind and exceptionally responsive. It is quite a wonderful spot!

Stayed 11 days for our son’s wedding. We’re in or 70’s and it’s perfect if you don’t have a car. Great variety of restaurants to walk to, can have groceries delivered. Will stay again. Thanks and hats off to fabulous owners!

Wonderful little oasis, love of detail, from the interior, furniture, pictures and decoration, the kitchen equipment all the way to the eucalyptus-scented showergel and Iowa-Pine scented Dishsoap. Enjoyed our stay very much and would visit again any time.

This cozy bungalow is right near the beach and restaurants! Parked right in front except for on Saturday. After driving into the city, we learned right away that stsying in West Seattle was definitely the right decision. Would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed at this lovely home from April 27-May 4. Great neighborhood and a 3 minute walk to beach and restaurants. We can’t wait to visit West Seattle again and stay in this exact house!

Charming cottage - extremely clean with all the things you need (i.e. washer/dryer/dishwasher/etc.) Walking distance to the sound.

We stayed at the house instead of a hotel for a Seattle wedding. Delightful location, house and amenities. Very organized and easily sleeps 5. Owners were very responsive. Heads up that there no grocery store within walking distance but there is a lovely one a quick ride away. Highly recommend.

This house is great. Renovated with a functional bathroom and great open space upstairs with a room in the downstairs for the whole family. The location is fantastic. Lots of good restaurants walking distance also.

Our family had such an amazing time and the home was a perfect place for family. I felt safe with our teenage girls walking around Alki together and the transportation options were so convenient. House was so comfortable and just such a great area. Highly recommend for a family!!!

Perfect location! Short walking distance to beach, restaurants and shops. Well appointed home and everything you need. Parking can be tricky but still worth it for the location. Definitely will be back.

We stayed in this darling charmer over MLB All Star Week and it was perfect. Never staying at Alki before, we didn’t really have a whole lot of knowledge of the area. It was so great to be so close to the beach and only a 10 minute drive to downtown/stadium area. We were appreciative of the beach umbrella and the games. The teens had fun with access to the scooter rentals and we felt very comfortable letting them be outside on the promenade. We made breakfast in the adorable kitchen and ate out the remainder of our meals. The only thing I wish we would have known is there is not a door on the bedroom downstairs. We made due just fine though. Parking was a little nutty but we expected that and was able to deal accordingly. We would be happy to rent this bungalow again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alki Beach. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for a week of cooking. The location so close to the beach was fantastic. We saw some blue herons on morning walks. The location was perfect for us to be able to get downtown as well as to the highway for visiting the national parks. Thanks for sharing your home!

The cottage was so cute and cozy. Location is amazingly, a walk down the block to the beach! A short drive to down town, but lots to do in west Seattle area. Clean and accommodating to all guests. I highly recommend this listing!

A lovely bungalow with a charming “beach” feel. Very convenient to Alki beach and restaurants. Hosts are very responsive. Close to the free shuttle to the water taxi into downtown Seattle. We enjoyed our stay!

While it was a cold, icy, rainy Christmas we enjoyed our time with family in West Seattle. This house had plenty of room, and privacy, for the grandkiddos. Plus, in the midst of the rain, we loved the big windows which gave us that feeling of "breath". The location of this house couldn't be better for enjoying Aliki Beach and many delicious restaurants. While there were a few issues at the beginning of our stay the owners were quick to respond and resolve the problems. We would stay in this house again.. . . we must remember, it is 100 years old, but wonderful for a grandparent visit.

Short walk to the beach, coffee shops, and a few local restaurants. Owners super easy to work with. The place was perfect for our needs.

Great fall break visit! Beach and restaurants are walkable- you can smell the ocean when you come outside and easy drive to downtown Seattle attractions. We loved the house and how it was decorated, plenty of room for my family of 4. Would definitely stay again. Only downside was parking- no assigned spot and it filled up fast- especially on the weekend.

Good clean property. It is an old house so the basement area is cold. The heater does not heat that area. All and all a good place to stay that is close to the beach and places to eat.

We loved this location, views of the water from the house. 1 block walk down to the beach, also a very quick drive into the city to pike place, space needle, stadiums, airport. I felt like everything was a easy 20 min drive. We parked on the street out front of the house each night. Our last night which was a Friday , there were no spots available. We drove down to the beach and checked out the area for a few minutes, came back and a spot out front was open. The owners were great with questions we had pre trip. The kitchen is stocked nicely. We slept down stairs with the bigger bed, we had our 2 year old with us and the house has a pack n play available for use. Overall we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If we find ourselves visiting Seattle again, will definitely rebook this house

Love the location to Alki Beach. It's in walking distance of lots of food options and restaurants that were all delicious. Parking sucks but that's how it is everywhere in Seattle so you just have to deal with it. The house was clean and well kept. If I had any negative it would be that it gets loud pretty early in the mornings being right by cross streets but it wasn't a huge deal. All in all we loved our stay

The property was exactly as described. Very clean with lots of amenities. The owners were lovely to work with. The area is very quaint with several beachside restaurants/bars. We walked most places. We didn't use the ferry into downtown Seattle, as we had a rental. Would definitely go back.

Cozy Cottage feel in a very convenient location. Will definitely stay here again our next time up this way. Host was accessible and responded promptly.

Great place, well equipped, kitchen,, lots of fluffy towels. Only downside is parking on the weekend. Just don’t move your car. Take the Dart or the bus or walk. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!
Very quiet considering it is only a block from beach!

Simple and Straight Forward
Everything was great. The only confusion we had were with the road signs for where not to park and then inside the house for where the main kitchen light was.
Overall, we'd all stay here again!

Alki Beach house
We had a wonderful week stay in this lovely house, just one block from beach! The downstairs bedroom was very chilly, with no heater and the bathrooms could use bars and bath mats for seniors safety. Other than that, it was perfect!
