About this house rental
Comfortable, three bedroom antique home with adjacent carriage house located in the heart of Wellfleet Village center. This home has a bright and cheerful living room, dining room, kitchen, den and bathroom (shower only) on the main level. The second floor consists of three bedrooms (king, double, 2 twins) and one bathroom (tub with hand-held shower). The carriage house is a couple of steps from the back of the main house across the covered back deck. Here you will find a living area with a queen size bed/sofa, kitchenette, loft bedroom (queen) and full bath (shower only). HDTV/DVR and Blue Ray disc player included. The location of the house makes it a short walk to town, galleries, shops, restaurants, Wellfleet Harbor and Mayo Beach! Your well behaved dog is welcome. Available Off Season 3 Night Minimum from $400-$425/ night. Non-refundable $250.00 fee (includes administrative fee and damage waiver assurance) plus applicable state and local taxes. Linens not provided. Guests may rent linens or bring their own.

This house is an awesome rental. The backyard reminded us of "the secret garden" as it was a hidden gem. Our family gathered outside for games and BBQ every day after enjoying the awesome beaches of Wellfleet. The location is phenomenal, a quick walk to the quaint downtown of Wellfleet to browse the wonderful shops.The house is stocked with EVERYTHING you need during your stay whether it be a lobster dinner or BBQ outside.

As communicated to the rental agency, there were many problems with this house. Overall a lack of cleanliness: used kitty litter tray, outdoor furniture covered with dirt and cobwebs, many light bulbs out, draped shower curtain so water flooded the bathroom, leaky fridge in the guest house, etc.

Wellfleet Center
We have enjoyed visiting Wellfleet for many years, but this was our first time staying in the center of town. The location was perfect for all our activities and interests.
However, we could not access the property as the previous guests did not leave the keys, so I had to contact the agent and wait for her to bring the keys to us. While we waited, we saw that there were many toys and items scattered about on the deck. It looked as if the previous guests had just tossed belongings about. Both grills were dirty and full of ashes. We reported this to the agent who was surprised and understanding.
Upon entering the house, we discovered that our linens had not been delivered (not the fault of the agent) and that the floors and counters were not clean. We spent some time sweeping and wiping down the kitchen. The floor should have been mopped.
Overall, we enjoyed our week in Wellfleet but the backyard was the savior of our time in this house. We ate all our meals outside (the kitchen was pretty gross) and used the outdoor fireplace every evening while we cooked on the grill and played with children and dogs.

I was so looking forward to staying at this property. Unfortunately, the pictures were very deceiving. The house was dingy and dirty. The only comfortable setting was in the cottage on the property. There were toys strewed around when we arrived. There was a nest of birds living in the AC unit of the master bedroom. There were shower curtains missing and little privacy. A few of my guests had to stay elsewhere, given they couldn't sleep. Not worth the $$$. If you can, find another place to stay.

Wellfleet and family
Wellfleet is a magical place with ocean beaches and warm pristine kettle ponds. Our days were filled with fun excursions. The location of the house made it easy to walk to the town shops (especially for after dinner ice cream)

rental experience w/cape cod realty was great. the property was very clean however - alot of clutter and small things that could've been put away for renters. the kitchen interior (cabinets, drawers, pots and pans were filthy and we spent most of our cooking prep time cleaning all the things we needed to use) while we realize the cleaning company is not responsible - the homeowners left the all that stuff a mess. basic cleaning after summer rentals is needed. but after our stay things were de-cluttered and much cleaner. otherwise great area, alot of room but definitely room for improvement. realtors were great. :)

Location, location, location
This home was a perfect spot..close to the Beaches and walking distance to the quaint shops and restaurants in downtown Wellfleet. The backyard was private and perfect for our family dinners.

Perfect Wellfleet location!
We spent a week with friends and family in this spacious property in an ideal location.
The deck and yard were wonderful to hang out in. The listing is very accurate. We would stay there again.
The reason for the poor cleanliness was due to a miscommunication with the cleaning service.
