Rooms and balconies face the ocean, but you can't see out the windows (frosted glass)

Staff were lovely and helpful. Beds were all singles, no bunk beds. Free drinking water was nice, and internet was fine. Beds were high enough that it was easy to store bags under them, which I prefer for some things.
Showers were cold water only. Toilets / showers were downstairs, and the stairs are HUGE. Watch your step. Not really a social hostel. Room layout is odd too - 6 beds room, with two 3 bed rooms off of it. It's all fine, it is what it is, but just be aware.

We loved everything! This is the most stunning hotel we’ve been to, basically small houses surrounded by nature, a few steps away from an almost private beach.
The wifi was great, enough to have 2 video calls running at the same time.
Amazing staff.
You can cook your own food in the shared kitchen… And there’s a delicious restaurant just a few minute walk away, Chekesh Casa, with the best pork adobo for a very good price.
Just take a bike or a tuktuk to explore the rest of the island, it’s only 150 PHP to go to the stunning Paliton Beach, without having to stay nearby —the Residencia Diosa area is more beautiful.
You can stay just a few days and cry when you leave, or make the right choice and stay here for weeks!
Nothing! We would have stayed 2 months!!

Great atmosphere- we rented a room with a sea view and it was amazing. the sea was 15 M from our room and we snorkelled with the large turtles feeding on the weed. Best time was high tide nearer sunset. on Friday the owners put on a meal for us all with drinks at no charge - really special.

Very comfortable place to stay. They have an amazing kitchen also where you can prepared your food everyday. On the weekends they have a meal for the guest cook by the owner. You feel like at home away from home. It’s like be in a family environment.

Friendly staff, nice location and good room
- The water supply to the toilet was leaking, causing the bathroom to be wet all the time
- The AC is too small for the room, it could barely keep up

The best place to stay on the island with the very affordable price 👌 😊

Good location. We got a private room for 3 of us even though we booked a dorm so that was nice. They provide you with towels. Good scooter rental here for a good price!
We arrived late to the property so there was no reception available just a gentleman to give us the key which was fine. When we woke up in the morning at around 9am still no one to ask questions to. We did find someone cleaning but we couldnt tell if they were the owner or not because no introduction to the island or tour was given to the property.
There is a massive kitchen area however its not used. Maybe if there was a bar or breakfast there it would be more of a communal feel.. we just slept there and that's it.

what gobsmacked I was to be invited to a party on arrival at Residencia Diosa! lots of delicious food & drinks which was started with champagne then wine. it was such a lovely meeting the other guests & staff which was hosted by Aurora, the ever generous & wonderful owner. the group dynamics was amazing that we ended up past midnight though most of them left earlier. then we had a leftover lunch with them. the Residencia is located by the coast if you’d like to go for a dip. to maintain privacy of the guests, the cottages are separated with a dining hall. it’s surrounded by matured trees & plants which truly makes it a paradise of its own. all throughout the day especially in the morning, I heard chirping birds which was magical to my ears. I stayed in the dorm bldg but was alone in the room as tourism in the island just started post lockdown. there’s free water to refill your jug & kettle for tea or coffee. with good WiFi & ceiling fan. the 2 toilets & 2 shower rooms are located downstairs. it’s generally clean, comfortable & secured with individual lockers, request for lock with key for free. should you need scooter or any stuff, please speak with the friendly & accommodating staff. because of that there were a few longer term & returning guests. one day I’ll come back to this amazing place… a home away from home & meet the Diosa again. make an appointment with the legend for your enchanted experience.
my only concern is the limited sockets which are too high other than that, all’s well.

The location waa good and the room was spacious. Kind and welcoming staff.
All of the facilities were good but the room didn't have any TV for entertainment.

We stayed in an individual bungalow located in front of the sea. The bungalow was big and spacious on the inside, including also an external kitchen, eatery and terrace. Bed was comfortable.
The staff and family owners were great. We rented a motorbike from them being an easy and nice. Also, on our last morning, the owners were really nice to us when we told them that my partner was feeling sick in her stomach. For breakfast, they gave her some soft breakfast and showed genuine interest in how she was. That type of interest is much appreciated when you are travelling.
As an advice, if you are planning to have some drinks or dinner in San Juan, be aware that you would need a motorbike or take a trycicle as there is not much around the Residencia.
The entrance signal is not easy to spot at night when coming back, we had to drive several times around to find it when coming back with the motorbike.
