About this house rental
Welcome to Sunset Bay. Completed in 2012, the home sits at 19 ft above the ground and 24 short steps up the stairway. Sit back on the 10 x 40 ft porch and take in the beautiful water and sky with the fire pit and chairs. A four top table and chairs with accent lighting are at the ready for meals, drinks or coffee. Inside is beautifully appointed and furnished in light coastal inspired decor. The large open floor plan provides plenty of space in the kitchen, living and dining areas. Three French doors open up from porch to living and dining brings and the outside and light inside. Enjoy the Large wall mounted flat screen tv in the living room and wall mounted flat screen TVs in all other rooms, all with cable. Wifi is available for your convenience.The Master bedroom has a very comfortable king bed with 100% cotton sheets, down comforter, en suite bathroom and 2 large closets.The guestroom has a queen bed which is very comfortable as well and a large closet. The bunk room has two sets of bunk beds and is decorated in a nautical theme perfect for kids and has a large walk in closet. The lower bed on each is a double and the upper on each is a single. Ceiling fans and wall mounted flat screen tvs are in all of the bedrooms. Extra blankets, throws,and extra pillows are all available for a good night's sleep or snuggling for movie night! There are gorgeous granite counter tops in the kitchen and all bathroom areas. A laundry room equipped with a full size washer and dryer are conveniently available for your use. Downstairs in the storage area is a kayak ready for adventure. Explore the Jordan River and its marshes or catch Redfish, Speckled Trout or Crabs. On the ground level there is a comfortable entertaining area with two dining tables and seating for 10 where you can enjoy an evening meal while watching the spectacular sunsets. The ground level area also has rope hammock, BBQ pit and seafood burner/boiler/and pot setup, all ready to cook your catch of the day. There are beautiful views of the Bay and/or river from every room and awesome sunrise view from front porch which is a great place for morning coffee. The Hollywood casino with fine dining is a half mile away as the crow flies, and Old Town Bay St. Louis is a direct route 2 miles away where the Harbor and marina is located, as well as fine dining and beach type open air bar and grill restaurants and local music. Downtown also has clothing and gift boutiques, bakery, and ice cream shops and the popular art walk on weekends. Local white sand beaches can also be accessed from downtown while the scenic route to Gulfport and Biloxi offers roadside beach access with jet ski and sailboat rentals. A boat ramp is located near the Hollywood Casino. Dock your boat right out front in the canal where you are 200 feet away from the Jordan River and Bay St. Louis.

We usually stay in Pass Christian but thought we’d try Bay St. Louis for a change. We enjoyed the patio and the deck. Temperatures were in the 90’s but we spent a lot of time outdoors. We liked how close to the restaurants and the casino were to the house. We wanted a quiet getaway and we found it. We’ll be back for sure.

Our stay was great. The views from the back porch are beautiful. The 24 steps up and down are a bit of a challenge for us in our 70s, but we make it work and navigate very carefully. We definitely get our workout. The location and warmth and comfort of this home make it worthwhile. Thanks for sharing your home.

The property was warm and wonderful, very clean and had all the conveniences of home and then some. Loved that we could contact Quentin by phone if needed. Only challenge we had to deal with, since we are in our mid 70s, was getting up and down the 25 steps to get in the lovely home. We were very careful! Overall it was a lovely and peaceful experience!

Bliss by the Water
My 89 year old dad and my 3 sisters and family go on a trip every year. This location and house was perfect for us. We enjoyed quick access to the Jordan River and the bay in our boats and the view was beautiful. We hope to be back next year!

Enjoyable stay!
Our family had a wonderful time at the house and in the Bay St Louis area. Very nice town and area. The kayaks and ping pong table were great additions to our stay. Unfortunately there didn't seem to be many fish biting this week, but fun to try anyway.
The neighborhood was interesting and relatively quiet.
One note- if your children are sleeping and you think you'll do a quick load of laundry, wait! The washer is noisy!
All in all a great week. Beautiful house, beautiful area!!

Great home for families
We were in town to visit family and this was the perfect place to call our home away from home for a few days. The house is beautiful and very clean we cooked breakfast and had everything we needed in the kitchen in the kitchen. Highly recommend a stay at this lovely home on the water.

Relaxing Get Away
Quentin was so very easy to communicate with and the home was lovely and very comfortable. We had a great trip even though the rain cut into our fishing. We made up for it by eating well!! Recommend Trapani’s in Bay St Louis- our meal was fabulous .

The location was ideal for a view of the waterways! We loved fishing off the dock and jogging the local streets. The rooms and space was comfortable and clean. Everything was in impeccable order and worked perfectly. Our family would definitely stay again. Great places to eat nearby!

Nice Family Getaway Location
My family from TX came to visit for the weekend after 4 long years of not seeing each other. We did lots of grilling, and the shade and breeze from the patio made this MS heat a bit more tolerable. The neighbors were very nice as well. We spent the last two days fishing off the dock and we caught croakers, catfish, sheephead crabs, and bream!
4 stars because the housekeeper was running behind, so she wasn’t able to clean the microwave or the master bathroom/sink. We ended up doing all of that ourselves. The owner told us we could wait inside while she finished, but she was mopping and washing bedsheets, so we sat on the patio since we couldn’t do much upstairs. We officially checked-in 2 hours late at 6PM once she left. It was an inconvenience for my family (& embarrassing for us hosting them) after they had driven 7 hours with 3-year-old twins in the car. I would recommend the owner getting backup sheets and towels so the housekeeper can alternate through them. Despite these issues, we still had a good time and focused on our time with our family.

Lovely property great communication
Check in was easy and the house is very welcoming. It slept 9 of us comfortably. We all enjoyed fishing and crabbing. The use of the kayak was a great addition! Any questions I sent to owner were answered right away which was nice. You will not be disappointed in this vacation stay!

Beautiful Home!
Neighborhood is far enough out of the way to be very quiet, yet close enough to everything with a very short drive. Home is absolutely beautiful! The balcony view is fabulous all day. We spent more time at the house than we'd originally planned because our weekend ended up being rainy. But it was really nice to be able to hang out and feel at home. I couldn't have asked for anything else to make our stay more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back!

Weekend Getaway
We had a great time! The house had plenty of space and was nice and clean. The kids enjoyed nonstop fishing, catching crab and kayaking. We also drove a short distance to the Aquarium one day and ate at The Blind Tiger in Old Town Bay St Louis. We would definitely visit again sometime.

Family Fun
We loved the property. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. Perfect place for our annual family get together. We were not able to enjoy everything the property had to offered due to the Arctic freeze. It was just to cold to sit outside or go fishing.. Even though we were not able to enjoy the outside activities we did enjoy quality family time inside the spacious beautiful home. We will definitely plan another trip for the summer so we can have endless fun on the water and enjoy everything the property has to offer. Thank you for sharing your home with our family. Our stay was perfect. The house was super clean and comfortable, especially the beds. The neighborhood is very quiet. Everything as was it was listed on VRBO. The professional ice maker was an added plus as were the kayaks which my husband used to fish.

Very well kept , nice view of back bay, comfortable , well furnished, ice maker was a game changer for us because we usually spend $$$ just on keeping fish iced down -- wish the weather had been more co-operative , but thats what you get in the fall - We had six adults and three kids and were comfortable -

Lovely House, Great Views, Quiet Neighborhood
We enjoyed our stay during Cruisin’ the Coast. The house was very spacious and neat, with a great view of the bay. It was nice to get back to the house for a quiet, relaxing evening after spending the day at various events across the coast. Nice amenities with gas grill and ice machine for coolers. We had a great experience overall.

Great place for our softball girls!
Our daughters' team had a softball tourney in Gulfport, and we were looking for a place to stay other than a hotel. This house did the trick! Drives were 30 minutes to and from the ballpark, but knowing we could come back to chill, wash uniforms and cook meals instead of eating out all the time made a difference. House was clean and the view of the bay and canal was a plus. The owners made sure to check in to see how things were going, and with Hurricane Barry nearby when we were arriving, they were sure to give us updates of the weather. If our team is invited to participate in this tourney again, we will definitely look into booking this place again. Just wish we had time to visit a couple casinos ;)
