About this house rental
This charming and cosy 2 bedroom Art Deco style Cottage is located in a very quiet street in leafy Gardenvale but only moments away from Brighton, Elsternwick, Elwood, Caufield and St Kilda. Gardenvale Station on the Sandringham line is a few minutes walk away and you can stroll down the street to the local cafe on our corner.
We offer a place that is exceptionally clean and comfortable. A single level, 2 bedroom house complete with secluded outdoor area and native gardens. Your own Off Street Parking, conveniently located in your own driveway. There are no internal stairs to climb or lifts to navigate!
Bedroom 1 has a Queen bed and Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. All Linen and towels are supplied.
There is a fully equipped spacious Kitchen and relaxing lounge room with a selection of books and kids games and toys.
Kids can play safely in the secure backyard with outdoor setting and BBQ.
*Our property is thoroughly and professionally cleaned after each guest departs ready for our next guests*
*Check In time: After 3.00pm (we will strive to have the property available from 2pm-subject to availability)

Gardenvale is Melbourne's smallest suburb but it is so close to Elsternwick, Elwood, Brighton, Ormond and various other villages so you will never run out of things to do in the area.
FOR THE SPORTING ENTHUSIAST
16 minutes to the Royal Melbourne Golf Course. Tennis Courts are a 5 minute drive away. Getting to Major sporting events like the soccer, football, rugby, tennis or cricket is just a short 10 minute train ride to Richmond Station and walk to the MCG.
To get to Etihad Stadium it takes 15 minutes to Southern Cross Station then a walk to the Stadium - it's that easy!

Our cottage in Gardenvale was very conveniently located and well equipped.

A well presented art-deco home for 4 adults. This home has all the features you need for an enjoyable stay in Melbourne. This property is well maintained, very clean with comfortable beds and lounge. Located within a short walk to numerous coffee shops, restaurants, pharmacy, supermarket and the Gardenvale train station. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Communication with the property host Katie was easy and responsive. Highly recommend this property.

The cottage was easily accessible, clean, spacious and nicely decorated and had all we needed for our stay in Melbourne. Katie was helpful and responded promptly throughout the booking and check in process. I would recommend the cottage and happily stay here again.

We had a great stay at Gardenvale cottages. Everything was super clean and tidy and it had everything you need for a really comfortable stay. The kids loved playing with the toys and the special surprise that was left for them.
There is a really great coffee shop just a few doors down which is very handy and the local shops and supermarkets are only a few minutes away.

Lovely two bedroom property, very tidy on arrival and a warm greeting from Katie. Amenities all in perfect working order. Perfect amount of space for a small family, with Gardenvale Park a short walk away for some outdoor variety. Yard is very safe for small children.
Be aware that the driveway is a little tight if you have a large car, but we were able to park a Carnival in there (just). Street is nice and quiet which makes reversing in easy.

Near impeccable cottage - like a trip back in time
This charming little cottage feels like it belongs in the mid 20th century.. Tastefully decorated with features true to the period, this place is a delight to stay in. The absence of Wi-Fi may be a plus for some travellers. There were a couple of very minor maintenance items that could have improved the experience. Side gate could only be close with the key and the lock was difficult to operate. Equally the fly screen door latch was hard to operate as well. But these were very minor things in the context of the overall property

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay in Katie's clean, cosy and cute
Art Deco home. We appreciated Katie meeting with us to explain keys etc. and thoughtfully providing us with some milk and a bowl of fruit, ahead of doing our own shopping. Beds comfortable, kitchen well-equipped and the shower, I'm relieved to say, isn't a trickle, but comes on full pelt, something I like! The place is very secure, making us feel extra safe, and very conveniently located near the train station and eateries. The cafe on the corner serves delicious almond croissants! I can highly recommend staying here.

Spotless accommodation in a convenient location
Pleasant and immaculately presented accommodation with a metro railway station very close by. Despite the Nepean Highway nearby noise was never an issue. Very comprehensive instructions for everything and details on local cafes etc. Narrow drive way which took some practise to reverse in to even in a Corolla sized car but a real advantage to parking on the narrow street.

The cottage is nicely furnished and very comfortable. You can see that Katie puts in a lot of efforts :) we appreciated the fruit basket and the tea and coffee. The location is very quiet and the neighbourhood is lovely, there are some nice shops, good cafes and restaurants around. The metro stop is just a few minutes walking distance and the beach is just a few minutes by car. If you are planning a trip to Melbourne stay here! All the little details made us feel a bit more like in a home far away from home, thank you for that! When it was raining Katie even gave us umbrellas :)

I enjoyed my stay at Gardenvale Cottage immensely. The home is very comfortable and beautifully appointed. I really appreciated the range of teas and coffee and fruit provided. The location of the cottage is excellent in its close proximity to trains and buses and local cafes and restaurants, while being situated in quiet surroundings.

Close to all amenities especially the coffee shop on the corner
The only slight wrinkle if I’m picky was the pillows! They were too flat or too bulky - very personal observation which would not stop me from highly recommending the cottage.

This is a lovely cottage in a great location for travel to Brighton, Sandringham and the city. Very comfortable, clean and homely with all the facilities you could need. Katie was very welcoming and helpful.
