It is said that the cleanest sea in Capri is in “Marina Grande”, and it is here, one step away from the house that there are the beaches most loved by roman emperors like “Bagni di Tiberio” or “Lo Smeraldo”.
As an alternative to “Marina Grande” you can take the "Gozzo", the typical caprese boat, where you can spend an unforgettable day visiting the famous caves all around.
The Blue Grotto is the most popular cave, but many amazing other you will enjoy to discover.
The son of the housekeeper, Capitain Luca, has a very nice “Gozzo”.
The area of the port in “Marina Grande” is very lively during the day and in the evening becames quiet and full of suggestion with its typical little bars and restaurants “pieds dans l’eau”.
A minute walking distance from the house you find all you need: a minimarket, a gourmet and delicatessen, ice cream shops and irresistible bakeries and byke and scooters rentals.
Capri can be experienced in many ways, offers extraordinary opportunities; for those who love walking there are magnificent routes, more or less demanding, for those interested in visiting archaeological hightlites and artistic sites, there are plenty proposals: Villa Iovis (Emperor Tiberius), Villa Fersen, La Certosa di San Giacomo, Villa San Michele (Axel Aunthe), the beautiful churches of Santo Stefano and Santa Sofia and much more.
At home there is a good collection of books and guides, also in English, which you can use.

This pristine apartment is beautifully decorated and has a lovely outdoor space with a marina view. Our family of four stayed for 3 nights. Restaurants are nearby as is boat access and tours. Highly recommend it!

Location is the key!! Perfect location in Marina Grande. Close to stores, shops, and groceries. You can order free food delivery at Gabiannos. Luca provides the boat for the tour around the island, plan ahead if you are going in high season. And Mrs. ANNA comes around almost every day to change linens. Overall a great place, with a beautiful view from the balcony. We would stay here again.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay in Capri at Alessia’s VRBO Villa. From the very start, communication with Alessia was superb. She was responsive, helpful, and provided all the information I needed to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable.
The highlight of my stay was the exceptional hospitality of Signora Anna. She was phenomenal—warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. Her local tips and personal touch made my experience truly special.
The property itself was fantastic, with stunning views and all the amenities you could wish for. It was clean, well-maintained, and perfectly situated to explore the beautiful island of Capri.
I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for an unforgettable experience in Capri. Thank you, Alessia and Signora Anna,⬤

What a great spot to enjoy Capri. We felt safe and though there were a few stairs, my limited mobility wife had as much fun as anyone! We’d love to come back!

This property was exactly as advertised. It is close to the action in the port without being so close you hear all the noise. Each room has a TV with Netflix (though, it didn't work in the guest room during our stay).
It is a short walk to the Funicular that will take you deeper into island.
We all agreed that we'd stay there again.

It was just as advertised. It was a great location and easy access to all of Capri. You could catch a ferry, a taxi, the funicular all from the Marina. We also loved our boat ride with Anna’s son’s company.

The apt had all we needed, it is in a great location - close to the ferries, shops, restaurants and funicular. Was very clean and all was in excellent condition. And then there was Ana- she is in charge of the apt and responds immediately to any of your questions. Highly recommend this apt.

We had a lovely stay at this well appointed villa. Comfortable beds & furniture. Beautiful views. Anna our caretaker was kind & took the time to show us around. The only issue was the outdoor lights on walkway that lead to front door were not working. This made negotiating steps difficult at night.

Villa Vesuvio's location (Marina Grande) is ideal for experiencing Capri on your terms. There is easy access to the central shopping in Capri via the funicular and to Anacapri either by bus or taxi. There are also good restaurants near by and the area becomes very quiet once the day-trippers depart back to the mainland for the night. The property itself is well maintained and daily housekeeping makes life very easy and relaxed. Our third trip to Capri over the years and my favorite location.

Couldn't beat this location for being active on/off the island. Recommendations were excellent, especially capriboats.com (Julie there is great) and Lo Zodiaco restaurant close to the house. Great views, great experience, comfortable and clean!

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Vesuvio at Marina Grande. The unit was clean, modern and well stocked and we loved the views from the patio and living room. It's a perfect jumping off point for the many activities to pursue on Capri -- we had an awesome boat tour from Anna's son Luka, which was a great way to get oriented to the island. We also recommend Bar Gabbiano as a go-to location for coffee and meals. Carlo and his family took very good care of us during our stay. We will be back.

The property as exceptional. Private with the most amazing view!
We loved walking, accessibility, fanikular, and how quiet the harbor became at night.
Our 2 favorites were Anna who welcomed us and came daily. And chartering her sons boat for a day trip around the island! I can’t recommend hiring Luca enough! We learned so much and from there were able to plan other outings to make our stay on Capri exceptional.
Would book again and recommend to anyone.

We had an amazing time at the Villa. The house is beautifully decorated and updated. The rooms are very comfortables, the AC worked perfectly with good size bathrooms with plenty of hot water. The view is insuperable with an amazing terrace overlooking Marina Grande and location wise couldn’t be better, you have everything you need two minutes walking.. The house keeper is super friendly and helpful! We can’t wait for next year to come back! Best experience ever!!!

The view from the patio is amazing and the space is updated with great.AC units. It is Close to local shops and the funicular that takes you up to the square. Getting the details on how to get into the unit was a little worrisome because I don’t speak Italian, and the English they speak is limited, but once we found the place we were able to communicate with a lot of hand motions.

The entire area was clean, the neighbors were friendly, the staff were very helpful when it came to questions about the area, and the kitchen was well stocked with pretty much everything you would need. I loved my stay and I would definitely visit again☺️🇮🇹!

We stayed at the property on the tail end of our two-week Europe trip. The location is a 7-8 minute walk from where the high speed ferry drops you off at Marina Grande (we walked with our suitcases and no big deal). My first impression is that the property looks just like the pictures in the listing (usually not the case!). It has been completely remodeled and it is clear they take great care of the it. The biggest thing for us was that the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was not the case for some of the other places we stayed throughout Europe. The view was perfect and the deck was spacious. In the non-hot summer the deck would be perfect for cooking dinner and admiring the incredible view. Both bathrooms were spacious and had excellent showers (great water pressure😀). The area is very quiet and away from the hustle bustle of the Piazza which is on top of the hill. In order to get to the main Piazza you must take the Funicular cable car (only 2 Euros) or take one of their open air cabs for 20 Euros. There are plenty of places to have a cappuccino and a snack in the morning that are less than 5 min walk from the house. If you plan on renting a boat to explore the island (which you should) you will definitely want to use Luca who is related to the owner. Fair pricing, professional, really nice Italian boat, and knows all the places to go!
Overall we had a great experience staying at this property!

Booking this Villa was a great decision! Communication was 100%. The Villa is tastefully decorated and super clean. Everything worked perfectly, especially the A/C. Having a washing machine was a big plus also. The outside terrace is great to watch the sunset or sunrise with a nice coffee or just relax. Walking distance to the funicular (4 mins). Also 5 mins walk from ferry port. Many restaurants around as well.

Our recent travels took us to five different European countries and this property was by far the best of all of the places we stayed. The location was fantastic, the details were perfect, and the home was immaculately cleaned. From the moment we arrived late at night (and were still met in person by Anna, the housekeeper), we felt as if we were in heaven. The views were unbelievable and we spent an entire day just sitting on the patio looking out the windows admiring the the sea, the harbor, the flowers, the birds, and the entire view. The accommodations were perfect for our family with each bedroom having it's own bathroom. We made coffee in the kitchen each morning and brought home food to keep in the refrigerator to snack on throughout the day. We all enjoyed the 5 minute walk to the harbor through the flower strewn walkway, past local residences, and into the village where we could buy groceries, drinks, or have a lovely dinner. We had to stop in and say goodbye to each of the shop owners when we left. We did go one evening up to the piazetta which was about a twenty minute walk (or you can take the funicular). There were many restaurants and shops to choose from there and the sunset views were amazing. Overall, we are very grateful to Luigi and Anna (who were both very responsive) for giving us such a nice stay and we highly recommend this villa! Many of our friends have requested the listing just based on the pictures I posted alone!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Perfect location. Property was immaculate. Easy to get to our boat rentals, Anacapri, Capri square, and taxis. Great local eats for breakfast and lunch and hospitality was top 10! Check out Gabianno family shops. Super friendly and helpful. We would enjoy going back and highly recommend

A truly exceptional, beautifully designed & well-appointed home with the most stunning views of the Marina Grande. Once off the ferry, we were met easily by Carlo at the family run cafe Bar Gabbiano. Carlo is so generous & fun, he offered to bring us anything we needed - wine, water, snacks at any time during our stay. He connected us with Anna, the delightful housekeeper who escorted up to the property which is a block up the hill. The home is perched up on the hill with expansive views fit for a postcard. There is a wraparound deck with a couch, cafe table & chairs to enjoy your morning coffee to see the day trippers start to come in as well as afternoon Prosecco to watch the sunset. There is a full kitchen, living room, dining room, 2 full bedrooms & bathrooms which made for a perfect space for our family. The finishing touches in the design are exceptional, from the beautiful tile work throughout, the furnishings to the artwork are lovely. The walk up to the main square of Capri - Piazzetta di Capri - is just under a mile, but heads up, it is all uphill - a great workout :) & coming down is easy. We absolutely loved our stay here & will be back on our next stay in Capri!

You need to stay here....
This VRBO was just perfect. We (4 friends celebrating our 50th), had a perfect amount of space to catch up and walk to everything we had planned, for the four days, three nights we had stayed. We tool taxis to the Main square, beach resorts, and walked right to the boat rental we reserved. No car needed. The location is amazing! And the host was quite responsive. We were met right off the boat from Naples, and checked right in. We had a personal tour of the property and was able to relax after our long journey from Boston. The home had everything we needed to get settled in our Italian Villa, including white wine, and crackers while we unpacked. A ironing board, hairdryer, a washing machine, dishwasher, and even an extra phone adapter. We were in Capri for an unplanned heat wave, and the home provided a cool, solice place for downtown when warranted. If someone in your party likes to wake up early, it is so calming to just sit on the terrace, to watch the boats come in. The View is absolutely perfect. We even kept our bags there for a full day, while we toured in town😎

We spent a week in Capri. Anna was the best. The location, everything, wonderful. Make sure to rent a boat ride from Luca. All was amazing. We would stay here again. No problems of any sort.

Villa Vesuvio is Perfect
Our family really enjoyed staying at Villa Vesuvio. Great location with fantastic views, clean and well supplied. The owner is amazing and extremely responsive. Anna kept the villa in great shape. We highly recommend Villa Vesuvio! Make sure you also check out BlueCapri Boats (Anna’s son Luca runs it). Great way to see the island.

The location was the best. We can take a short walk to the downtown for breakfast, coffee, and foods to bring back to the property and have breakfast on the patio overlooking the sea. Very convenient. The view from the family room and patio was beautiful.
We took a taxi from ferry building to property because of luggage, however the taxi was not needed as it is a very short walk. Just ask to meet at the patio entrance as it was a short cut.
I highly recommended this place. The location is away from all the crowds near the hotels at the top of the square. The owners were professional and very easy to communicate with. Stay here and you will not be disappointed. Lastly, the washing machine was a big plus since we came from Rome and had allot of clothes to was since it was so hot.

Fantastic Villa!
What a great place to stay! The location is ideal - located near the ferry and the shops and restaurants of Marina Grande. The view is spectacular and the private patio is a great place to relax and enjoy it. We had a few travel hiccups on our trip but Anna and Amelia were so accommodating and helpful in making sure we got settled in. Both Anna and Amelia were responsive whenever we needed to get in touch with them. We would definitely stay there again!

Fantastic villa located close to transportation. Beautiful views.
Great villa and is as advertised. Some communication difficulties but nothing big.
Very clean and close to ferry and some restaurants. Short taxi ride to sites and better restaurants.
Nice kitchen and we used a couple times. We shopped at Aldo’s near the ferry departure. Great small place with very fresh food.
Many people recommend the lemon tree restaurant da Pasolini up the hill from the Marina. Terrible and way over rated and very expensive.
Overall we really enjoyed the location and Capri.

Perfection!
I highly recommend this villa/apartment to all. You will feel very safe and at home here. There is a private patio that is tranquil and quiet, a kitchen that has all you need and stellar views! This is the most beautiful property that my husband and I have ever rented. The location is superb as are the accommodations here. Getting to this property is a very easy walk from the port in Marina Grande. When we arrived we were greeted promptly by Anna, who was extremely helpful to us throughout our stay. The owner had a beautiful bottle of wine to welcome us on our arrival. Public transportation, taxis, private boats, markets and anything else you might need are just a few steps away from this location. We would definitely stay here again!!

Marina Magic
The Villa was delightful and the location suited us perfectly. We particularly enjoyed being close to the Port with the coming and going of boats and people. It was easy to get up to Capri town and Anacapri when we wanted to. If there was anything that could be done to improve our stay it would be an umbrella on the beautiful terrace - the sun was so hot we were unable to sit there for a large part of the day. The air conditioning was fantastic as was Anna - the housekeeper.
