About this house rental
An incredible house with 2 first floor master suites with private baths, 4 upstairs bedrooms (that are larger than most master bedrooms) with each pair sharing jack-n-jill bathrooms where each room has its own sink area. A game room with a poker table, foosball table, pool table, air hockey, TV, games, weights, and a treadmill.
The wrap-around porch is extra deep and a pleasure to relax on while sipping wine or having a rootbeer float. The pool has a 30-foot waterslide, a waterfall, and a spa with a pool area bathroom. A propane Bar-B-Queue is also available poolside, in fact the house has 3, one Traeger smoker on the porch, along with a large Propane barbecue, and another propane barbecue located up at the pool..
Such a magnificent vacation rental; where it will be tough to decide where to enjoy your meals, on-the-porch, poolside or at the dining table that comfortably seats 10.
Wine tasting abounds on Friday through Sunday and locally we have historic Jackson, Placerville (aka Hangtown) and numerous micro-breweries and vintners. Our favorites wineries are Saluti Cellars in Somerset and Iverson's Vineyard Winery in Fairplay.... and we love the food and the beer at Solid Ground Brewing. Attending a wedding locally? Then, this is the perfect place for up to 12 adult guests. Parking... you could park 20 cars here and have room for more without a problem.
Do you have a baby or two? Not a problem there are two cribs and two high chairs for your convenience.
Multiple ironing boards and irons. Two full-length mirrors in case a bride or groom want to get a full view before the "I do" moment.
Note: My wife, I and our Golden Retriever (Ruby) live in the barn-dominium located about 75 yards from the main home. If you need something, we are there to help, otherwise we will leave you to enjoy your stay.

This house was amazing! My family loved it!
House is huge, very spacious and never felt crowded. Porch is wrapped around with fire pit tables. Very nice pool, hot tub and slide.

The property is amazing and beautiful. The owner is super nice and helpful. We had 8 women and we each had our own room to sleep in which was great. Stop looking and book this place.

This was our second time renting this property and we will keep doing so as long as it's available. It's the perfect house for family gatherings. We are from NY and have family in the Placerville area so staying at this house is convenient for everyone to gather at. The house has everything you need and more. The pool is the perfect place to hang during the day and the enormous kitchen is the place to hang at night. There is so much space and the game room is the perfect way to end a day. We'll be back in a couple of years!!

The home is beautiful; it is supplied with EVERYTHING you need and it is immaculate.
Country living at its finest.. deer wandering by, wild turkeys on the hill. The pool, hot tub and water slide provided fun for the Whole family. A+

Three families with toddlers and babies and some.
Absolutely loved it! The water slide and game rooms were big hits. The kitchen was adequately stocked for a crowd. Lots of seating inside and out, and an awesome wrap around porch. Really great location with trails. The house itself was huge. Rooms were spacious and bathrooms located everywhere you could ever need one. We really enjoyed our stay.
Con- the list of chores at checkout is extensive especially with the 10am checkout time. Proved to be a little difficult to do it all and enjoy breakfast with small kids on checkout day.
However, we greatly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again.

We rented this property with some friends, and it was so beautiful. The property manager, Judy, is the nicest, most helpful PM we've ever met. She answered questions right away, and made sure that we had everything we needed.

Our church even that held 28 people enjoying it!
Easily fit 4 people for each bedroom except the master bedroom you can fit 6 people. We all fit in the game room which can be warm at times best to go after 9pm when it’s not as hot. Dining room was great we all fit in the dinning room with an extra table we brought. The kitchen was amazing it had all the anemies you can think of. This place had 3 refrigerators in total, one in the kitchen, second one in the hallway of the washer and dryers same size of the kitchen and the 3rd one in the garage. They do have a 5 foot tall fridge in the game room. Everyone who came along enjoyed it! I can see us coming back here for sure 😊💕

Our extended family has enjoyed this spot two summers in a row and we hope to return for a third. The place is lovely and very spacious. We had ample room for 11 adults and four children aged 10-14. Several very comfortable futon beds with frames allow various sleeping configurations. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the long dining room table was a fine setting for wonderful shared meals. Everything is very clean and organized. The pool has the advantage of shaded places to sit and the kids had fun with the slide. The property itself is lovely and private and a huge wraparound porch with ample seating offered a delightful place to hang out and chat. Highly recommended!

The HideAway is simply incredible. The property is so spacious & private. The kitchen is very well appointed and has just about everything you could ever need. The bedrooms are big, clean & comfortable. There are many different areas where you can just hang out and relax. I highly recommend this property, and would definitely love to come back when the weather is warmer, to utilize the pool and spa.

The house and the property are both huge and very well maintained. After meeting the owner it's clear he cares about providing a great experience to guests and making sure that everything is squared away. All of the details like full propane tanks in the grill and fire pits with extras in the garage or just having all of the tools, gagets and utensils in the kitchen, were all buttoned up. Being far away from neighbors was great for our group that is frankly very loud with a bunch of kids and adults who have trouble controlling their volume sometimes. This was our second stay there and we'll be back again.

We enjoyed all the common areas; eating together both inside and outside the home, up by the pool and around the fire pit on the porch. We enjoyed the game room and the jacuzzi too. Some even enjoyed a cold plunge into the pool! We enjoyed the beauty of nature as we walked around the paths, and looked up into the sky to see the stars!
And we appreciated the 3 refrigerators and washing/drying machines too. I highly recommend coming here to enjoy work and family time as well!

This was our second stay here. Great for multiple families. Lots of bedrooms although one us in the garage and has no bathroom. But still doable for some young couples. Great game room. Kids loved that. 3 washers which was nice. Lots of extra pull out beds for the kids. The owner was very available for questions, etc. would stay again.

It's tough to come up with anything that they could do better, honestly. Beautiful property, accommodating hosts, big kitchen stocked with everything you need to prepare large dinners, comfortable beds big rooms. Just a wonderful rental property all around.

The Hideaway is fantastic, better than the pictures. The games room is THE BEST! There are games, books and toys throughout the house. The art is beautiful. The main room was cozy with the fire, Piano. We were 3 generations and there was something for everyone to enjoy. The kitchen is a chef's dream. We used the relaxing hot tub, and enjoyed the grounds and walking the hill. Some of us never left the property although there are interesting towns and wineries nearby. Matthew was very helpful and responsive and we felt very safe and cared for. Can't say enough about this fabulous house.

Our extra large family had an amazing weekend! Plethora of rooms, plethora of beds, and so many bathrooms!!! The entire house is super comfy and everything is accessible and convenient!

Multiple family event here for a wedding. Lots of space! Well appointed bedrooms, cupboards and fantastically appointed kitchen!! We cooked, we played in the game room, we enjoyed the wrap around porch and fire table with rockers to spare, we swam and hot rubber and watched the kiddos enjoy the slide! We played on the baby grand piano! Overall it was a five star stay!

We were a group of 12 male work colleagues looking to reconnect for a couple of days away from work. This property was just perfect. It’s huge, with ample beds and all the accoutrements you could imagine. Well stocked kitchen, pool, hot tub, lots of gathering spaces and the game room was the coup de grace. Pool table and poker table was in near constant rotation. Definitely hope to come back

Great house, well located. Needs TLC. Dishwasher never worked. Wi-Fi never worked. Trex deck very much needs power wash. If all three were addressed I would rent again.

This property was perfect for our annual family vacation (13 adults and 4 kids). We spent the majority of our time at the pool and in hot tub. Everyone young and old enjoyed the water slide. The game room was a big hit at night. The home was spacious enough to gather together as a group but also had plenty of places to hide away and relax as well. I would highly recommend this property.

The pool at this house kept our party of 15 occupied for most of the week. It is absolutely awesome. The house is huge and had lots of fun things to do. A few broken things here and there but overall an excellent rental. So much space for everyone to sleep and the game room was really fun. We only had internet for about a half a day so that was a bit frustrating. The caretakers were easy enough to contact and responded quickly when we needed them.

The pictures can't accurately show how large and beautiful this property is. The pool area is so fun for kids and the wrap-around porch is so inviting. We had so much space that we didn't even end up using all of it and there were 14 of us total. The game room can't be beat for kids. There are about 4-5 fire pits, a large garage, plenty of fridges, tons of pool towels etc. etc. They basically had it all!

Hideaway at Somerset was a delightful venue for our annual family gathering. The house was large enough for all of us (16 people, aged 9 to 78) to have enough space both to gather and to have quiet time. Although the weather was quite hot, the refreshing pool and the air conditioned house provided welcome respite. A well-equipped kitchen allowed us to create memorable dinners, thoroughly enjoyed around the long family-style table. We look forward to a return visit. Highly recommended!

Absolutely wonderful stay! We had a large family gathering and everyone had space to spread out, although most of the time was spent together enjoying the pool and the gorgeous setup around it. Our host was super responsive and helpful with any issues and questions. Peaceful and beautiful setting. Loved relaxing on the porch together.
