A Ruff Life is the quintessential Beach Cottage! Ruff features stunning ocean views, a fantastic deck, and is just 100 steps to the white sands of the Gulf. Its location in center island makes it the perfect place for families. After watching the dolphins from the deck or the soft sand, its an easy walk to the center of the island and all of the shops, restaurants, lighthouse, and activities St George Island has to offer.

Ruff Life, as the name suggests, is not only perfect for people but is pet friendly too! No reason to leave your fur family behind, Ruff has mats, flooring, and a gated deck so your furry friend can hang out with you before heading to the beach which is steps away!

Ruff features a well appointed kitchen, laundry, Wifi, Hi-definition TVs, DVDs, movies, and wireless speakers for streaming your favorite beach tunes. The open feeling and bright colors bring the beauty of this special island inside so even a rainy day is special. Take a quick walk to center island and pick up doughnuts, visit a restaurant or bar, or grab a souvenir or groceries. Walk home and enjoy wine on the deck as you watch the magnificent sunsets change the color of the ocean and sky. Ruff Life is the best of what St George Island has to offer--paradise.

There is plenty of room at Ruff Life with both a King and a Queen bedroom sharing the downstairs bath, and a loft featuring a full bath and 2 large twin daybeds with great ocean views.

*Ruff is pet friendly and allows (1) dog for a $75.00 non-refundable pet fee. If you have an additional pet please contact me and we can make it work. We also do a $300 refundable damage deposit

This was our second time staying at this property, and it will not be the last. The owners were very helpful and responsive to our questions, the home was clean and inviting, and the view was gorgeous! Sitting on the deck listening to the waves in the evening after spending the day at the beach made for a perfect vacation!

We loved this house! Our family, including our 2 dogs, stayed here and it was perfect for us! Plenty of room, loved the sunroom area, the deck was great to sit outside and watch the dolphins in the morning. That was my favorite! And we really got great use of the outdoor shower-that was a plus after spending time at the beach! The location was great and we would definitely stay here again!

Everything was well maintained. LOTS of pots/pans/utensils etc - more than we have ever seen in another VRBO. Towels were plentiful. The location of this house is perfect. We enjoyed our stay and the peacefulness of St. George Island.

Spent a tranquil week at the pristine Ruff Life. Perfect location to watch ocean waves roll in and the gulls circle from the deck. Clean, quiet and perfect little yellow house that was bright and spacious too. Lots to do. Check out the park at east end of island or the quaint history in downtown Apalachicola.

We had a great week at Ruff Life. The house was clean and had all the things we needed. It is a bit out dated — but we thought it was charming, and that didn’t bother us because the beds were comfy, the location and the layout was perfect for our family. The view from the deck and sun room is amazing. It is just steps from the beach which was awesome! If we ever return to the island we would stay again at Ruff Life. The owner was available and very friendly to work with!

Myself, my adult kids, and their significant others immensely enjoyed my birthday week at Ruff Life. Although it’s not “oceanfront”, it may as well be. You can clearly see the ocean and hear the waves from the deck. We even saw dolphins a couple of different mornings while having our coffee out on the deck. We spent a lot of time on the deck and in the sun room. We cooked a lot too and the kitchen had everything you need for any meal you make. We truly enjoyed our time while there.

Great location and super easy access to beautiful/peaceful beach. The house could use some updating in the kitchen area cabinets/countertop and bathrooms. I had to tighten screws on doorknob leading to front outside deck beings it was almost falling off when we first arrived. The homeowner did have a bottle of champagne on table for our wedding anniversary waiting for us which my wife loved. Overall a nice quiet house just needs some updates.

The pictures provided are spot on, the house was clean and the owners very friendly and accommodating. Our teenage son met a lot of new friends and our two dogs had a blast on the beach. The water was clear and calm our entire stay. We will definitely be returning to spend more time chilling out on that lovely deck with the ocean view!

Weather was perfect; the place is very adequate without being fancy. Just right for a family with a big dog. Conveniently located to Paddy’s and Aunt Ebby’s. This is our second year at Ruff Life. Highly recommend.

We had the best time!! The house was in a perfect location & the cleanest house we’ve ever stayed at! It needs a little work but nothing that was an issue for us. The downstairs shower had THE BEST water pressure! The owners were awesome to deal with & easy to communicate with! Would highly recommend!

Perfect location! Close enough to everything on the island that we wanted to do by walking or golf cart. My 12yo most enjoyed opening the windows in the sunroom and relaxing in the salty breeze. We were able to bring our 1yo pup along and she loved people watching from the balcony and going for golf cart rides. I was surprised at how pet friendly the island is. My husband shore fishes and found the outside sink very helpful for cleaning his catch. The rental had everything we needed and was the perfect location with beautiful views of the water.

Starting at check in, Tom and Sheryl, provided all the information we requested and more. Even a Happy Thanksgiving text! We found the place to be nicer than in the photos- we couldn’t believe how clean it was for being pet friendly. You can see views of the ocean from every room. The walk to the beach is short and the community loves pets!

This house is exactly as advertised. It was very clean and well equipped. The location is fantastic, just walk across the street and the path to the beach is right there. Great ocean view from the outside porch and sunroom.

Always apprehensive about pictures matching reality but this place is the real deal! First time traveling with our dog and were very happy to find such a wonderful place. The location is superb and great to be able to just easily walk back to get forgotten items or get the pup out of the heat. We all loved the house, the views, and the relaxing stay!

Our first stay at this property and on St. George Island. Very impressed with both! The beach is just steps away and the property is well kept. The owners are very responsive and easy to deal with. We can't wait to come back ! Perfect week at the beach with old friends and our dog Tula.

Our stay was great. The house is small but our family of 5 (3 adult children) and a dog did just fine. This would not be a good place for those who need privacy. The outdoor showers was a plus! When I saw the tiny over/under washer-dryer, I was worried, but it was no problem. We jut had to keep laundry going constantly. Highly recommend Ruff Life.

The house was just the perfect size and we enjoyed our stay! The location and views are unbeatable. Within walking distance of everything! A small glitch with an AC but the owners had taken care of it before we arrived and then followed up to make sure. We appreciated the personal attention! We'll be back on our next trip to SGI!

The house is cozy and clean. The air conditioning in the sun room was out and unrepairable during our stay. The owners were very good about coming out to investigating the problem. The house needs updating but it is in a convenient location to all of St George and the beach!
