Pull your boat up to the dock, load up the family and head straight out to the open water. 'River Bliss' is renovated indoors and out, with modern kitchen and updated bathrooms, delightful decor and 2 fantastic decks overlooking the deep shimmering water right outside the door. The yard is a sandy beach that kids adore, with fishing and crabbing right off the dock. Ocean Pines is the perfect destination for families, away from the hubbub of Ocean City but with a private block-long beach at 49th St. with included parking and beach club, so you don't have to fight the crowds when you're ready for the ocean. The home has been renovated with new kitchen and bathrooms, and a complete exterior renovation. It has to be experienced to be understood, so peaceful yet so close to everything. A Few Important Details: Occupants are limited to family groups only. No sororities, fraternities or non-chaperoned groups are allowed. You must be 24 years of age or older to obtain a rental agreement on a property. Should a group misrepresent themselves, they will be evicted immediately without a refund. There is no landline at the home. Telephone is not provided.
$300 security deposit is required. Deposit is returned within 7 days after satisfactory inspection.
Rate includes beach parking pass, which allows one (1) car to park at the Beach Club daily. Guest will be charged replacement cost for lost parking pass. Guest may purchase swimming pool passes from Ocean Pines Recreation Association. Pool passes are not included in the rental cost. Golf fees are extra.
Linens and towels are NOT included. Cleaning is NOT included, the cost is $100 additional per stay.

Myself, my husband, our daughter (22 months), and my Mom had a wonderful week here. The river views from the upstairs balcony and dock couldnt be beat. Our daughter loved shoveling the backyard pea gravel into her bucket and sitting at the adult and child sized picnic tables on the back porch. Loved all the outdoor seating to watch the river boats and birds. Having access to the Ocean Pines pools, playgrounds, and beach club (with parking) was perfect. It was an easy 15-20 minute drive into/out of Ocean City (as long as it was a week day). We loved having tasty restaurants just a few minutes away (Pines Public House, Southgate Grill, Don's Seafood, PopCs ice cream).
We loved having 2 stories of nice open spaces for all of our daughter's toys and books. The rooms on the upper level are bright and sunny. The kitchen was plenty big enough, and we really appreciated that Kevin provided a new on counter microwave while waiting for a new above stove one to arrive. The washer and dryer worked well, and we always had hot water and great water pressure. If you have a young child, be sure to bring a standard size baby gate for the top of the stairs.
I gave a 4 star rating on cleanliness because of having a toddler - i.e. I'm on my hands and knees all the time so see a lot of dirt and hair on floors, in bathtubs, etc. “Normal” adults probably wouldnt even notice (lol) The carpets were freshly vacuumed upon arrival and most surfaces were clean. We're used to having a lot of reading li

Upon arrival the initial impression was that the house seemed mostly clean/dated, but workable since the river + the beautiful decking was pretty amazing. In the first 2 days we quickly learned that the description on the website, which had to be pretty old, was no longer valid. "Renovated...inside and out, updated modern kitchen and updated bathrooms"; this is not what we discovered; issues w/shower doors sliding unattached; the positive is the water pressure was always very good/maintained shower temperature well.
The bedrooms, particularly the "twin" bedroom + kitchen both had an abundance of ants. We had to take our granddaughter out of that bedroom when she saw the ants climbing. We switched rooms, cleaned everything. Went to Ace, bought a bunch of recommended Ant Bait/Killer for bedrooms/kitchen. It was disturbing when an ant walked up my hand while I was sitting upstairs living room reading., I thought we had taken care of the problem. Another positive note, the furniture in both sitting areas is very nice and clean.
First day - dishwasher was full of dishes that we assumed prior renters had run for us. Started putting dishes away, discovered most were clean top shelf, bottom shelf apparent breakfast pans and dishes w/dried eggs etc. Dirty dishes in cabinets/drawers. This was not the family vacation I had requested add'l information about.We bought $$ of frozen foods for quick meals - microwave did not work.Will not rent again. Disappointed.

A great house with a wonderful view! We loved being able to dock our boat for the week and not have to go back and forth to the boat ramp everyday! Amazing memories were made!

We were delighted to stay at Kevin's place. It was clean, with a good setup, and the views can't be beat. Very relaxing to be by the water. Kevin was very responsive all the way through.

Our time was excellent at River Bliss. The house was well-appointed and perfect for our family of four. It was incredibly clean and the kitchen was updated with lots of pots and pans. The views were breathtaking and the neighborhood was lovely. We hope to visit again next year. Kevin was great with answering questions prior to our trip. I would highly recommend this house.

Perfect location for a family vacation. Great views of the river. 20 minute drive to beach with private parking. Close enough to enjoy all that OC Md has to offer yet far enough away from the noise, etc. The property was everything that was advertised which is more than what we've experienced with past rentals. Would definitely recommend and would like to return next year.

River Bliss was very clean and it had an easy check in. All information was provided for the property and labeled well. The waterfront can't be beat, especially if you have a boat - we loved the ease of getting in and out of our boat and the view can't be beat. The owner got back to me in a timely manner when I had questions and we are hoping to again rent this next year.

Immaculate riverfront home. Gorgeous views! Fully stocked kitchen. Quiet and private which we love! HOT HOT week while we were there but AC did fabulous! Kevin, the host, answered all questions very quickly! Our adult children had plenty of sleep space and bathroom downstairs & my husband & I slept upstairs. Many TVs, if needed. Beautiful decor. Bathrooms sparkling clean. We def plan to visit again! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Serenity
If you are looking for a quiet place on the water, this is it! There are lots of seating areas to curl up with a book, and/or listen to songbirds in the morning. The upstairs deck offers a magnificent view of the water. Sunrises and sunsets are both beautiful from the deck as well.
The street is quiet and safe for kids to ride bikes with almost no traffic.
The dock can easily handle 24 foot boats. My family rented a pontoon boat from Island Watersports. It was great being able to take a relaxing cruise from the house. The property is an easy 5 minute drive to Food Lion, and 15 minutes to the beach club. We highly recommend this house for your vacation!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
This is a heavenly spot with a great floor plan. From the terrific upper deck, we could see the sunrise and sunset over the water. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. The separate sleeping spaces would be nice for two couples to have their own space. Owner was prompt to respond to any inquiries. Look forward to staying there again!

Peaceful escape with everything you'll need
We loved staying here. It's a quiet street and unless you're in a bedroom, you have a stunning view of the water from all parts of the house. It's unreal at some moments. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed to make yummy meals. Great laundry machines, etc...
We had an issue with the kitchen trash can which had a flimsy lid. This led to countless fruit flies all over everything in the kitchen. I would recommend a new trash can with a secure lid that opens by foot to avoid that for other guests. Also there were parts of the home that had unused decorative spaces that had accumulated a lot of dust. Like thick layers even on the shelves of the bathroom, cobwebs in some corners, things like that. This was really hard on our allergies. Finally, the bed in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable. I had back pain the entirety of the trip because of it. I would suggest some upgrades and monthly deep cleaning of the home to elevate the full experience and reflect the price of the rental.
Truly, with all that said, we had a wonderful time. Visiting in October was lovely and if you need an escape from the city, this place is all you need!

I stayed 9 nights. I kept the sliding glass doors open much of the time. I loved hearing the water, wind, birds chirping, and rain. I woke up to a beautiful scene each morning.The house has everything you need, is very organized (and labeled), and is very clean. You can sit at the picnic table on the lower deck, or in the chairs on the upper deck. You can also sit in the chairs near the dock.The owner, Kevin, is amazingly responsive and a joy to interact with. This was my favorite adult vacation in decades.

Great relaxing stay
My family of 8 vacationed here and had a very relaxing and enjoyable time. The clean property is the right kind of size, not too big that you're all spread out but big enough to comfortably accommodate sleeping etc. The decorative touches throughout made you feel like you are in a special shore destination. Beach passes made going to the beach an easy fun adventure. The view cannot be appreciated enough, many evenings watching the boats go by were quite memorable. The open river has some current and with storms can kick up the water a bit so be mindful if you bring a boat. There's a nice stretch for tubing kids behind a boat right in front of house in the river. We probably caught close to 45 crabs with trap we brought though some are provided too. 3 amazing meals resulted! Kevin was a wonderful owner to deal with, so easy to talk to. If you want to have a nice "relaxing" fun vacation this is the place!

Couldn’t be happier
Our family couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The view of the river from both decks was amazing and very relaxing. The Ocean Pines neighborhood was very peaceful and quiet. The owner, Kevin was very accommodating with any questions we had leading up to our vacation. We had no traffic on the days we went to the beach, very quick ten minute ride. The Ocean Pines Beach Club was great, good food and drinks. There were a ton of stores within 2-3 minutes away if we needed to pick anything up throughout the week. Overall we really could not have been happier with your stay at this property and hope to come back again next year for the same week!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. We probably need a little more space for our group, because everyone always ends up in the kitchen. Location was great there on the river. I would choose this place again if I had 6 people or less.

Peaceful water view
This was our second visit to River Bliss and we felt right at home. Everything we need is at this lovely house, and the spectacular sunrise and sunset views cannot be beat. Crabs To Go just down the road has top quality seafood and we cooked in the well stocked kitchen every day, enjoying our meals on the deck. We love River Bliss and the Ocean Pines community.

River Bliss is as advertised - serene, stunning views of the St. Martins river, excellent fishing.
Our family truly enjoyed our experience at River Bliss. This property offers privacy, peace and quiet, beautiful views, and access to many pools including a private pool at 49th St. in Ocean City. You are far enough away from Ocean City to avoid the crowds , but are within a 15 minute drive of downtown Ocean City. The crabbing and fishing from the dock is superb. We easily caught two dozen crabs, and my father-in-law caught 2 stripers with little effort. The most incredible thing about the property though, is the upper deck. I could've spent the entire week on that deck.
The house was clean, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the neighbors were very friendly.
We intend to return next year if possible to this excellent vacation home.
