About this house rental
A 1914 charming Craftsman home offering a cozy and peaceful ambiance. The home features a large living and dining room filled with natural light and tasteful antique furniture. An open floor plan extends the ambiance from the living room into the dining room. The dining room has an antique sofa and period chandelier for the optimal dining room setting.
There are two bedrooms with a walk through bathroom. The space is warm, ideal for two people and comfortable with four. The master bedroom has a queen size comfortable pillowtop mattress with luxury linens, down comforter and bathrobes. The guest room has a full size bed with a memory foam mattress, luxury linens ,bathrobes and a 32” TV with streaming services Amazon Prime, Netflix and Acorn.
The kitchen is fully stocked and ready to support the preparation of a gourmet meal. Enjoy your gourmet meal on the front porch, a beautiful setting with a dining area framed by beautiful trees and flowers. The 'dining room' on the front porch provides the perfect spot for morning or evening dining.
Creating beautiful interior and exterior spaces is a passion of mine, and the gardens that surround this home delight the senses. Garden beds are planted with fruits, vegetables and herbs, and guests are encouraged to harvest from the garden.
The house is set back from an eclectic urban neighborhood and the space can be surprisingly quiet for being in the middle of this active area of Eugene. At times, you may hear music and or neighborhood festivities. When you are ready to explore the historic Whiteaker neighborhood, there are many appealing options for dining, sampling craft beers and wines or hearing music within walking distance.
A separate rental cottage is located behind the house, and both the house and cottage are private, noise-free spaces. Together, the house and cottage are comfortable for up to 7 people, and both are available as vacation rentals, if you are looking to host your family or friends for a special event or holiday.
Named for Oregon's first Governor, the historic Whiteaker is considered Eugene's most eclectic neighborhood. Entrepreneurs have established popular venues in this neighborhood to share their culinary, musical, brewing and wine making talents. Most recently, the Whiteaker has become identified as Eugene's brewery district. Recently earning accolades from Esquire magazine as one of America's best bars, Sam Bond's Garage is an iconic night spot showcasing regional musicians on an almost-nightly basis. The Whiteaker neighborhood is best for folks who have a tolerance for human diversity, and do not mind occasional interactions with transients. The neighborhood is safe, but a touch more exhilarating than typical surburbia.
A mix of commercial and residential establishments, enjoy the serenity of the Craftsman or walk in any direction to enjoy this creative and active neighborhood.
The gorgeous Willamette River is only a few blocks away and easily accessed by walking 10 minutes north of the Craftsman. Enjoy a run, bicycle ride or walk along this gorgeous river that runs through the town of Eugene.

Eve was so responsive to our questions prior to booking. She also followed up to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The Charming Craftsman has so much character. We loved sitting in the front porch in the mornings, and we enjoyed having an evening meal in the large back yard. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the beds were so comfy. Thank you, Eve!

House is better than described: clean, quiet, cozy, with comfy beds. Located directly across from grocery and within a few minute walk of several restaurants. Easy access to highways. Communication with host was prompt and effective.

I came for a girls' weekend in Eugene and just wanted a cozy place to hang out and catch up. This was exactly what I was looking for! The cottage is clean, well appointed and well stocked. The porch and yard spaces are beautiful and lush. Communication with Eve was excellent and location is perfect for exploration. I really can't say enough about this home! Thank you, Eve, for a memorable stay.

We spent a long weekend at the Charming Craftsman and loved it. I booked the stay and my wife and 22 year old son weren’t convinced until we arrived and they fell in love. We were in walking distance of downtown, good restaurants and shops. We had no problem finding parking out front and utterly loved eating on the front patio after barbecuing on the grill in the backyard. It’s a small grill but was perfectly fine for the 3 of us. Eve has a beautiful home and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was the perfect spot for us to be to visit our Duck! We loved being within walking distance of Tacovore and not far from her off campus house. The home is darling and the beds were super comfy! We sleep in a King size at home and I was nervous about a queen bed but it was no issue at all! The garden is beautiful and the foliage around the front of the home is darling. Highly recommend. We will be staying here again.

Absolutely love this place! True to the craftsman style throughout, so well-cared for with lovely decorative touches, & extremely clean. Neighborhood can be a little noisy (esp on weekends) but the fence and landscaping make it feel very safe & private. Check-in & communication were easy, & Eve is very responsive & thoughtful,. She even provided a bowl of snacks. On-street parking was easy -- never had a problem finding a spot. In short, pretty much perfect for us. Thank you, Eve! We hope to stay here again.

This cottage is a find! Hidden behind a gate and surrounded by lush foliage this is a great place to getaway. Good location , with a market and places to eat nearby. (Including two of our favorites, Beergarden and Tacovore.). Very quiet neighborhood. Beautiful garden which we would have enjoyed more if the weather were better. Very comfortable with everything we needed!

The house is so cute. If you like Craftsman style homes, you will love the property. Even though the house is located in a happening area, it is pretty quiet and very private. The landscaping makes the home private. You can hear the train, but that sound did not bother me. The kitchen and bath have been remodeled in the craftsman style, the rest seems very authentic. High ceilings are great. Heat and air conditioning was very easy to operate. The bed was comfortable. The decor is great. I loved relaxing in the glider. The owner was easy to communicate with and was very helpful. I highly tecommend the place.

The home is comfortable and conveniently located. The living room, dining room and bedrooms are furnished and decorated in authentic Craftsman style while the kitchen and bathroom are attractively updated. The house is well supplied with everything we needed and more. The beds are comfortable.
The manager was great- she returned our call at 9 pm when we couldn't figure out how to adjust the heat. The neighborhood is being revived, with several great restaurants within blocks.

Charming Craftsman
This home was well appointed and maintained. The owner,Eve was very responsive to our questions and just great to work with. The house is perfect for a couple and during the summer months the yard and front porch dinning would be a bonus. The neighborhood is a bit edgy but the house is an easy walk to music venues and restaurants/breweries

Cute Craftsman in The Whit
Had a great time staying here with my husband and mom over thanksgiving holiday. The home and location were great and exploring the neighborhood (“The Whit” to locals) was even more fun. Many great places to walk to; including a river walking path, wine tasting, brewery and great local restaurants . It was also a quick drive to downtown Eugene.
Our host left easy, clear instructions and suggestions for our stay and contacted me to make sure we were all settled in.
I would definitely stay here and again and highly recommend to anyone.

Uniquely lovely house
We couldn’t have asked for anything more. A couple blocks from our favorite coffee shop in Eugene, right next to Jill’s ice cream. Red Barn natural foods has everything you need. We have a toddler and walked a mile to the Riverfront Park that you must go to if you have kids. We also walked to Down to Earth home store and nursery, just a few blocks away. Restaurants and food trucks all nearby. The house itself is charming and tidy. Really nice backyard that you share with the cottage guests, whom we only saw a couple of times. My primary memory will probably be eating breakfast on the front deck and looking at the garden. I was nervous about the cello being in the middle of the living room, but luckily by the grace of the powers that be, my toddler understood it was a hands-off object. If you don’t want to worry about a kiddo getting into cellos and decorative items that are in the living room, that is something to consider. Another thing to note is that it’s a little bit noisy in the area. It’s a few blocks from the train tracks and there’s a little bit of foot traffic in the area. I’d suggest ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. But beds were very nice and cozy.

Lovely Cottage!
Eve was a wonderful host and communicated promptly with me. The home was spotless and was quite beautiful. The bed was amazingly comfortable. There was beautiful art and the garden was gorgeous. I really enjoyed my stay.

Charming and More!
Really, this charming craftsman is an urban delight and oasis! It’s even more beautiful in person, very clean and well appointed.
We loved being able to walk to great restaurants, shops and even the grocery store.
The gardens were beautiful and well maintained and what a treat to eat fresh lettuces from the garden. The beds might be the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in, no joke, a total dream.
My daughter and I stayed here for a long weekend, but it’s large enough that our entire family of four could stay here and not feel crowded. The plush robes and cozy linens were the perfect touch.
I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers who need to be in town but are looking for a little “escape” while hanging out at the cottage.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!

great craftsman
The craftsman home was just as cute, charming, and pleasant as advertised. It was clean and comfortable.
Eve, the property manager was responsive and great. Eve made contact with us and made every efforts to resolve our issues quickly and pleasantly.
There were only a couple of issues: timely availability of rental for check in - house keeper/cleaner was still there upon our arrival- and it was advertised that it had satellite cable TV which we were looking forward to being able to watch March Madness. They have a few TV apps but none can access live TV. That was our only disappointment - everything else was wonderful!!! Thank you we look forward to renting here again.

Home away from home in Eugene
We had a very comfortable stay in this property. The house is cozy, but large enough that my husband and I and our adult son didn't get in each other's way for the 5 nights we were there. We were there over Thanksgiving, and the kitchen had everything we had to have to make our dinner, including a slow cooker. We had all the pots, pans, utensils, dishes, and wine glasses that we needed.
The weather was kind of dreary, which was a shame because I would have loved to spend some time in the back yard. It looked really inviting, and I hope to be there again in the summer so I can enjoy it.
Beds were super comfortable. The bathroom was well-equipped with towels, soaps, toilet tissue, etc.
The whole feeling of the house was warm and charming. Eve was very accommodating, and checked in with us right away to make sure we had everything we needed.
The house is in a great location. We hardly used our car at all because many of our favorite restaurants and stores are just blocks away.
We are looking forward to our next visit to Eugene and a stay in this awesome place!

We loved everything about our stay in Eugene. Eve is a pleasure to work with. The gardens are lovely and the front porch was a relaxing place to read a book.

Great location
My husband and I stayed in the cottage for three nights and really enjoyed being in walking distance to many top notch restaurants and breweries. The house is in a lovely setting with many trees surrounding it which make it very private but a little on the dark side. No TV. And. I never really understood why I had to put all the linens and towels in the washing machine by 10 am upon check out. We did pay a cleaning fee. Eve always answered any queries promptly which we really appreciated.
