The excellent location made this a lovely place to stay.

The location was truly lovely. The view from the living room window (once we had cleaned it!) was beautiful. The kitchen was relatively well equipped and the bedrooms spacious and comfy. The ensuite bathroom was newish and the shower was very powerful!

The kitchen mixer tap was really loose and we had to try and fix it ourselves. The lighting was really poor, especially in the bedrooms with bulbs not functioning and elderly high level ceiling spots - and we could only find one low level lamp to put in the living room. We really, really didn't like the astroturf lawn and the cover picture isn't how the property looks now. When we arrived (on Friday), the main waste bin was full to overflowing with the last guests' rubbish and it wasn't collected until the following Tuesday.

Highly recommend, we would love to stay again.

This was our favourite house we stayed in NZ. Well appointed house, very comfortable and everything provided . Beautiful views, warm and inviting. Highly recommend thank you !

Close to Eely Point but could do without the dead flies littering around the master bedroom toilet every morning!

that it was near enough to town and in quiet neighborhood. Eely point was a bonus! Loved taking out daily walks there. Tranquil and beautiful track to town.

The cupboards had a musty smell so we didn’t use them. In the en-suite master bedroom, the bathroom miraculously always had lots of tiny dead flies at the sink area every morning of our stay there. we couldn’t figure out why as we didn’t open our windows at all.

An ideal holiday rental with amazing views and spacious living and sleeping areas.

nice but outdated- needs only a couple of things to bring it up to other places we have stayed

lovely views- although dated had a lovely feel with wide windows overlooking lake.

the lack of instant heating. column heaters too forever to heat up and there was limited firewood for open fire. lucky the weather was mild iso as we would have been frozen. also antiquated television with no ability to watch streaming services.

Fireplace and one kitchen cupboard had not been cleaned. One dining chair had a dangerously loose bolt and the utensils drawer has the base fitted in hupside down.

Great location, fabulous views and good fire.

Not enough hot water for all (5 of us) to have a shower, if fact only enough hot water for about 3 showers. Hence the low 'value for money' poor score above.

Great holiday. Have stayed before and enjoyed both times.

The location is excellent - very close to the lake. The property is well positioned for sun and views. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. It is spacious and the facilities are good.

Excellent for families

Spacious house, terrific place to stay for our family - we have 2 young kids. And great location within walking distance to town

I would advise investing in a heat pump - that’s the only negative. There were plug in heaters but on cold evenings and mornings it would be great to get instant heat from a heat pump.
