Sitting above the beautiful village of Le Grand Bornand, the four-star Chalet Le Charmieux is a great choice for an Alpine holiday, whatever the time of year.

With panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, it's just 2km from the ski slopes and shops, and the shuttle bus stops just 150m from the door, so you'll have no problem getting around. The chalet is between Le Grand Bornand and the village of Chinaillon, so you'll have plenty of choice when it comes to shops, bars and restaurants.

Although it is built in traditional style, this is a contemporary chalet which offers the best of modern comforts and everything you need for a care-free stay in the French Alps.

Upstairs, you'll find the open plan living area, with a well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, the dining table and benches and a sunny sitting area. There are plenty of windows to make the most of those stunning views and an open fire. This area also opens on to two large furnished terraces which are connected by a balcony, so that you can follow the sun from morning to evening.

In short, we really loved the chalet and Marine's team was extremely helpful. The only thing I would remark on the chalet is that lots of the outside wooden benches and the terrace had lots of splinters, which the kids very easily got stuck in their hands.

We loved Grand Bornand, it's a great place for beginners, and offers a good range of services. The chalet is well located, nicely decorated, with awesome views. Make sure to have a car equipped with snow tyres in winter! The manager made us feel at home on arrival. The chalet was clean and reached our expectations.

Nous étions essentiellement venus pour voir le biathlon et le week-end était ensoleillé, tout était parfait malgré le manque de neige mais nous n’étions pas venus pour skier. Étant de Chambéry nous nous rattraperons plus tard ! Concernant le chalet tout était parfait, décoré avec goût, avec une ambiance très chaleureuse. Nous avons passé un très agréable moment. Et quant à Nathan le manager, son service était également parfait, poli courtois et disponible !

Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir à séjourner dans votre chalet où nous nous sommes de suite sentis comme à la maison. L’équipement est très bien et le chalet très confortable. L’environnement est tout à fait magnifique et la vue depuis le chalet est parfaite! Le manager était très sympathique, réactif et serviable.

Très agréable séjour dans votre chalet

Le chalet est bien situé, la vue superbe, très bien équipé, la décoration cocooning. Le chalet était propre à notre arrivée. Les enfants ont beaucoup apprécié l'espace qui leur est réservé au rez-de-chaussée. Peut-être faudrait-il prévoir plus de rangement dans la cuisine pour les denrées alimentaires? La station est accueillante et familiale, et l'offre de service est bonne. La livraison de pain à domicile par une boulangerie de proximité serait un must! Nous n'avons jamais rencontré le manager qui avait le COVID, mais qui a très bien géré notre séjour à distance! Il nous a permis la prise de possession avant l'heure prévue, merci à lui! Nous avons tous beaucoup apprécié votre chalet et avons passé de bonnes vacances ressourçantes.

Merveilleux séjour

Le séjour que nous avons passé dans ce chalet a été extrêmement agréable. La neige magnifique, le ciel bleu durant tout le séjour y ont certainement contribué. Mais le confort et la beauté de ce chalet moderne sont ces principaux atouts. Nous étions sur place pour travailler au biathlon, mais nous avons tout de même réussi à profiter de notre temps libre pour faire un peu de ski. Merci à Nathan notre hôte et à OVO Network pour de belles prestations.

Emplacement parfait avec une superbe vue. Une grande luminosité par toutes les fenêtres. Tout simplement sublime. Tous les équipements nécessaires, et même plus. Superbe chalet et très chaleureux. Une des meilleures vues que nous avons pu apprécier, mais aussi tout l'équipement dont on pourrait avoir besoin. Tout était parfait et nous reviendrons très vite.

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans votre chalet, et nous pourrions y revenir avec plaisir. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la vue depuis les montagnes dans la pièce principale et la décoration soignée qui amène beaucoup de chaleur au chalet. Ce n'est pas un endroit impersonnel comme bien souvent dans les locations. Bravo pour le choix des très belles et nombreuses sources d'éclairage. Cette semaine a été l'occasion pour nous de belles randonnées familiales dans les environs. Le manager a parfaitement rempli son rôle.

Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour au chalet Charmieux. Nous nous y sentions comme chez nous : confort, vue, décoration, localisation, attentions, accueil. Tout était parfait, même la météo ! La salle de projection a été très appréciée au retour des randonnées. Nous souhaitons autant de plaisir et de détente aux prochains occupants.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans votre chalet malgré la météo capricieuse. Nous n'avons pu profiter que d'une seule randonnée sur et sous la neige ! Mais cela nous a permis de profiter du chalet très chaleureux au coin du feu, avec un espace de jeu au rez-de-chaussée très appréciable pour les enfants. L'accueil était aussi très professionnel. idéalement placé, magnifique vue, équipement parfait, décoration appréciée (chaleureux)

The chalet is in a beautiful and convenient location, and is very well-equipped. It feels like stying in a home rather than a seasonal rental. The ski bus could not be better located, and inside the chalet there is everything for a large family - from the brilliantly equipped kitchen to the home cinema and children's books and games. Manuel the chalet manager was very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful week and did not want to leave!

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour au Grand Bornand Chinaillon, station familiale et authentique, dans laquelle le domaine skiable est aussi bien pensé pour les débutants que pour les skieurs confirmés ! Votre chalet cosy a fait l'unanimité au sein de notre groupe. La vue dégagée sur les montagnes est splendide, c'est très reposant! La décoration est de très bon goût, simple et épurée ; elle permet à chacun de s'y sentir bien ! Le logement est fonctionnel (entrée rez-de-jardin pour retour du ski), très bien équipé, notamment pour les enfants (jeux, jouets, barrières de sécurité, chaises hautes...). Ces belles prestations justifient largement les quelques minutes de navette pour rejoindre le cœur du village. Un grand merci à Manuel le manager pour son accueil, sa sympathie et sa disponibilité tout au long de notre séjour ! Je garde votre contact dans la liste de mes locations "coup de cœur" et ne manquerai pas de vous recommander à l'occasion.

We had a very nice holiday in your chalet. It is really a beautiful and also practical and comfortable chalet ! We also enjoyed the area very much. There was a lot of snow and not so much sun. But it was great ! Definetely an area and place we want to come back to !

Nice holidays

Nice holidays

We had two wonderful weeks in the chalet and enjoyed very much all of its facilities and the recreational services of the area. We spent a lot of times hiking in the mountains, bicycling up and down the Col de la Colombiere and Col de Aravis and visited Annecy where we had some pleasant days on the lake. We did also use the swimming pool down at Le Grand-Bornand and the kids of course, had a thrill swimming around in the cooling water. Le Grand-Bornand itself, did offer several activities for us to enjoy; the market, the restaurants, the tourist information and of course on Bastille day, there were several activities to participate in. Very friendly people and although our French is very limited, we were met with understanding and willingness to help us wherever we went. The chalet was equipped with everything we would ever need, and we never found us in a situation where we needed something. We loved the chalet very much and it was especially wonderful, to feel the atmosphere of a real house being used by a real family and not just a rent-out-only chalet. We enjoyed the balcony and the breathtaking view, which was a wonderful scene to enjoy every days breakfast. The welcoming from the conciergerie was outstanding and we felt welcomed from the first minute we met. And we were left with no unanswered questions.

We really enjoyed your house.

The facilities were great for two families of four and the view was magnificent. I could definitely see myself return to your chalet at some point! With respect to the skiing we had a preference for the La Clusaz resort, where the other family preferred Le Grand Bornand! So i guess that is just a matter of opinion. Either way, both areas are very nice (although i think we were extremely lucky with the weather and snow). We were welcomed very friendly by the concierge too. Thanks again for having us!
