About this house rental
Unwind on top of our private 2 acre mini-mountain! This vacation home is secretly nestled above Lake Louise and about half a mile from downtown Weaverville (short drive to Asheville). It has everything needed to enjoy an awesome mountain getaway: an ideal location, privacy, cleanliness, comfort, and entertainment.
THE HOUSE:
This home features an open floor plan and original mid-century heart pine floors that lead to a spacious covered porch, grill, and fenced back yard. Enjoy a glass of wine by the fire pit on the front patio.
The kitchen is fully stocked with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a walk-in service pantry.
The laundry room and bonus room are located off of the pantry. The bonus room features an original stone fireplace and custom stained glass to provide a cozy area for playing board games and doing puzzles.
The bathrooms (2) and bedrooms (3) are appointed with locally sourced handmade soaps and luxury linens. Each bedroom contains the following:
•Master: King bed, open en suite bathroom
•Second Bedroom: Queen bed, separate entry
•Third Bedroom: Twin bed with electric adjustable base and massage settings
The property has been lovingly renovated by us, and is our second home (but you will have the entire property to yourself).
Pets are considered - please email in advance of booking and describe your pet. There is a $25/night pet fee and additional house rules pertaining to pets.
THE LOCATION:
Weaverville is an ideal location – being an Asheville area attraction in itself (just minutes away), it offers small town charm, abundant dining options, shopping, and various attractions of its own.
From the house, one can walk or drive to downtown Weaverville (please refer to the walking map in the welcome book upon arrival for sidewalk route). Downtown is home to numerous locally owned shops, galleries, breweries, and award winning restaurants – including one of America’s best small town bakeries (Well-Bred). The area also has many outdoor adventures to choose from (e.g. hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway, zip lining at Navatat, golf at Reems Creek Golf club, etc.).
At Lake Louise (across the street from the house) you’ll find a 0.6mi walking trail around the lake, outdoor gym, large playground, covered picnic area and various community events. Capture photos at the small waterfall and antique water wheel.

My husband and I had a wonderful visit in this lovely home. I’m not sure who enjoyed it more, we humans or our pups. The property is spacious, comfortable, and in a great location. There were many special touches including wine and snacks, cozy blankets, and a well equipped kitchen. The beds are very comfortable and the property is sound proof and felt safe and secure. We especially enjoyed sitting in the backyard watching our small dogs play inside a secure fenced-in area. Mary and Greg are gracious hosts and we very much look forward to our next visit.

Our recent 4-day stay at this Weaverville gem, nestled in the mountains, left us utterly delighted! From the moment we entered, the ambiance of this beautiful home captivated us. The attention to detail was outstanding, and the cleanliness was impeccable. Mary, the gracious host, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, offering a personalized touch that made us feel genuinely welcome. The location was perfect – a short stroll to the scenic Lake Louise and a quick drive to the vibrant city of Asheville. We enjoyed the quaint town's charm and found ourselves at home in this cozy retreat. Highly recommended for a memorable and relaxing escape! 5 stars without a doubt!

We enjoyed staying in the extremely clean and cute Mini Mtn Hideaway! We were close to downtown, Stony Knob restaurant and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Every morning my pup, Zoe and I walked down the hill to the track around Lake Louise.
We had beautiful weather and our host, Mary couldn't have been more accommodating!
We hope to visit again.

Mini Mnt Hideaway is a wonderful property! The home was spotless, comfortable and well-equipped. A welcome note and sign from Mary, our host, was a thoughtful touch. The note included a few local restaurant recommendations that were spot on. We especially enjoyed the back porch for reading and relaxing. It was a short walk to Lake Louise with it's paved walking path. Downtown Weaverville was minutes away with good food and coffee options. It's also a short drive from Asheville attractions. We would definitely recommend Mini Mtn Hideaway and hope to visit again!

Hosts are gracious and the property is tastefully decorated and thoughtfully appointed. Walking distance to Weaverville, but private. Beautiful waterfall and Lake Louise across street. Fenced yard is handy. We felt right at home.

My friends and I just stayed at this property and we loved everything about it. The back porch was the favorite space for us to catch up and relax. The location is perfect and the lake and park across the street adds to the value of this rental. The beds were comfortable and so many extra amenities were included that you just dont find at most rentals. We definitely plan to stay here again.

Our family, including our furry friends Capicola and Chorizo, enjoyed leisurely walks around Lake Louise. The charming town, with its plethora of fabulous shops and restaurants, made for a truly unforgettable experience. We cannot wait to return to this idyllic haven!

The property was accurately represented on VRBO. The property is secluded, had a well-stocked kitchen and a plethora of games. The back porch has great views and was a relaxing place to spend time.
The home is conveniently located to Asheville, grocery stores, and restaurants.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Lakeside home. It was very clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and the living areas/porch were spacious and inviting. The location is ideal for seeing Asheville and Weaverville. We loved walking in the park across the street and into Weaverville. Lunch at Curate was amazing. Hiking Triple Falls and Graveyard Fields was fun and beautiful. We were happy to retire to our Lakeside home after our adventures. Highly recommended.

We were very pleased with our stay at this home. It is an easy 10-15 min drive to Asheville, close to the very cute little town of Weaverville with grocery and other stores a short drive away. The house was very clean and well stocked. There is a very nice porch at on one side with a view of the small lake, and a nice outdoor sitting area at the entrance. The fenced in yard was great for the dog. The house is cozy, bright and comfortable. The host was very quick to respond when a few questions came up. I would definitely recommend this property.

The house had plenty of room and everything you’d need for cooking or grilling. There were tons of games and books to occupy folks in case of bad weather. The park at Lake Louise is at the bottom of the driveway which was great for me and the dog. The Main Street in Weaverville is about 3 minutes away with plenty of good restaurants and places for morning coffee. Only about 15 minutes drive into Asheville and an hour each to Pisgah area or south for a waterfall tour. Had a great stay and would come back again!

From start to finish, this property was an absolute joy to stay at. Mary was so kind and accommodating and even welcomed us with a card for our wedding weekend, thinking of every detail for our stay.
The house is so beautiful and timeless. The back porch was perfect for sipping coffee in the morning all while letting our dogs play in the fenced in yard. The kitchen was stocked and even had items included that I’ve never seen at a VRBO that made cooking and eating all the more enjoyable. This place is a 10/10 - one of the best homes we’ve ever stayed at. Thank you for being a part of making our wedding weekend perfect!

The house was perfect for us and the location ideal. The house had everything we needed and wonderful outside areas to enjoy. It is close enough to Asheville so all it has to offer is a just a short drive away but with the considerable small town charm of Weaverville.

Our family recently stayed at this property with our dog and everything was fantastic. The location across from Lake Louise is great for morning and evening walks and the 2 minute drive to main street is very convenient as several great restaurants. Also, the drive into downtown Asheville is very quick and access to highway to travel to other nearby areas makes getting around easy. The house is spacious with everything you could need and back porch is a great spot for morning coffee or glass of wine in evening and with the enclosed back yard provides a great space for your pet to run around. Would certainly stay here again on our next visit to the area.

Perfect getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was exactly as described; clean and comfortable! The little things such as tea and coffee, snacks and extra toothbrushes and dental floss were very thoughtful. We didn’t use the front deck and fire pit but would love to return during colder temps to be able to enjoy this cozy area. It’s an older renovated home that I wish could talk to tell it’s stories of past family gatherings. It just has that feel of family warmth.

the Mini Mountain Hideaway was just as shown. And it was so nice for the personal touches provided by Mary to welcome us. The location is perfect for a small-town day to explore in Weaverville and close enough to venture into Asheville to explore more great shopping and restaurants. Thank you

We had a great stay at the mini mountain getaway! The home was set far back off the road providing peace and quiet. The inside was very clean, well equipped and everything we used was in good working order. Our favorite area was the peaceful back deck with a very nice breeze! It was in a nice rural setting but walkable (up a few hills) to the small town of Weaverville with a few good restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay very much and the host provided some very nice personal touches!

The photos of the property were accurate and it was a truly lovely place. Mary has a book that has local business information, a map of the best way to walk to the town, as well as other helpful hints. She was very responsive whenever we contacted her with any questions.
Lots of thought has been put into this property so we had everything we needed.
We enjoyed the porch for watching sunsets and beautiful mornings. The walk around the lake was great. As we walked around we found the waterwheel and waterfall! It's not visible from the road. It's tucked off to the side of the lake.
We LOVED our stay!
