Clean and perfect for a big group
Great place and will be back to vacation here again!

It says it will comfortably handle 21. We had 16 and it was very tight quarters. A lot of furniture but no space to interact or for an inside mobility scooter to turn around. Accessibly was limited. The location and view were great. The three frigs were wonderful. Nice kitchen but setting together for a meal was impossible. Several small items like towel rack broken. Parking Lot very large and paved..

Great location, enough space for multiple family vacation.
Property was clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable, plenty of pillows and bedding and towels, and the multiple refrigerators (and wine fridges!) were very handy. Teens loved having their own domain on the 3rd floor (so did we parents); same goes for the downstairs living room w fußball table.

Dinner lake house
Great space and location. Fabulous kitchen. The beds were comfy but the pullout sofas could be improved.

Our group had a wonderful time. The best part of the house was location with lake just across the house. The house had all that we needed. We had a great time staying here.

We took our high school lacrosse team to this house for the first weekend of spring break. What a great place for a large group. The kitchen was perfect for fixing meals for a team of hungry boys. Plenty of room to sleep and a very nice parking space. Very conveniently located off of I-80 and a really reasonable drive to the Reno area. Our program would definitely stay again if we are in this area.
Thank you!

With 6 bedrooms and beds for 14, and sleeper sofas that can take you to 22, this place is awesome for groups. 3 fridges, a hot tub, a foseball table, and an epic dinning room table, this place rocks. We had a great time there and would recommend it to any group. Make sure and bring extra towels.

Great space, great location!
First impressions of the Chalet seemed questionable because of the unkempt front yard full of nothing but weeds. We had already been worried that it was not as big as it boasted, but we stood corrected. The interior had more than enough space and bathrooms to house our large, multi-family group. Having the two living spaces was incredibly helpful as the kids longed for a place to play with all of their games and goodies that would not bother the adults. All of the appliances made food storage and meal clean-up a breeze. As the evenings got colder the hot tub became the go-to spot. Having such easy access to the Lake and large play area across the street encouraged us take advantage of the great outdoors.
On the downside, the broken dresser drawers and several missing vertical blinds gave the Chalet a shoddy feeling. If your family likes to play board games you'll have to bring your own. We timed our trip well with decently warm weather each day and cooler weather in the evenings, but the top 2 rooms were still pretty warm at night. Though she was very attentive during our actual stay, the property manager was not very responsive the few weeks leading up when I emailed and attempted to call with simple questions.
All in all, I would recommend the Chalet for large groups, especially if you have children. The upgraded kitchen and appliances were beautiful. The location was prime.

We had a very mixed experience:
The good:
Great location right across from a lake and playground (for a $4 daily charge), which was great for a bunch of families with kids, so we didn't have to coordinate driving anywhere. It's also walking distance to a nice little ice cream spot. The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking stuff and the hot tub and decks were nice.
The bad:
The house itself has a small and tight footprint, and feels kind of like a dorm with bedrooms all in a row downstairs (with bedrooms with small windows) and upstairs in the attic. The furniture and fixtures are all quite basic and cheap. When we showed up, it had been ransacked by the group ahead of us which meant the doors were off hinges, drawers in dressers were unusable and the garbage as overflowing. (The management tried to accommodate us with a late check out, which we didn't need).
The worst:
The worst part of our experience was, as another reviewer mentioned, getting our deposit back. On the front end, we literally had to convince the management to accept us as renters (at the time we were renting, this was the best option for what we needed), and made us feel like if we made any misstep in asking about the cancellation policy (which should be in our right as renters-- and which is what cancellation policies are for), they would not let us rent the spot. However, once we paid and they had our money, and after our stay (and pressing for some remedy for the poor state it was in when we arrived), it took us weekly emails and calls to get our deposit back. We finally just received it 2 months after we returned home. While the management is perfectly nice, they are not very good at their jobs, and I would be scared to do business with them (I only wrote this review after receiving our deposit for fear of retribution). Renter beware!

BEST Vacation Spot in all of Tahoe!
This house was PERFECT! We vacationed with five families comfortably and it was an experience to remember. This house's kitchen is one of the best features. It has 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, a professional stove top, and all the cutlery, plates, and cooking utensils we needed. We saved so much money by taking turns cooking and the families loved experiencing all of the different kinds of foods we made in that kitchen. The three refrigerators made storing all of our ingredients and leftovers really easy.
The proximity to West End Beach is great! We still had to pay each day to get into the beach area (~$4/person) but that is just the policy of the Beach administrators.
Everyone had a bed, and when we had a few extra visitors overnight, they were able to stay in the four pull out sofa beds. It really was a convenience to have all of the extra linens, pillows, and cleaning supplies available to us. We were able to keep the house clean and organized during our stay (and with over 20 people that's pretty hard!)
Coordinating with the Property Manager was so simple and easy. I was able to text and provide feedback about the house during our stay and coordinate for our arrival and departure.
They even did the little things-- like put out a new sponge in the kitchen, make sure all the bathrooms had hand soap and extra toilet paper, and have the washer & dryer available for much needed mid-week washes. The beds and pillows were surprisingly comfortable, no complaints from any one in our group, which is almost a miracle in itself. We kept the windows open at night to stay cool. The only recommendation I would have is to bring a few fans with you, as the weather can get a little warm during midday. There were small fans available in some of the rooms though.
Having visited Lake Tahoe area a lot, one thing that I really appreciated about this location is how close to Interstate 80 it is. I'm used to being down in Kings Beach/Incline Village area, where it takes a long, wind-y road to get back to 80, so it was nice to hop in the car and be in Reno in 40 minutes instead of an hour and a half. We also trekked to Roseville in about an hour 15 minutes and it was really convenient to go to the Costco there.
Such a great experience renting this property-- almost don't want to tell everyone about it because we want it to stay available for us for our next trip :)

Wonderful stay and Location
Wow, it has so much more room than it appears outside. Great kitchen! An umbrella on the back patio off the kitchen would be nice too. Hot tub and outdoor eating balcony was a beautiful setting. Great setting for family with children and no driving anywhere as the beach is literally across the street. Highly recommended. Would be great for snow season too!

Amazing!
We rented this property last minuet and couldn't be happier! They really went over and beyond to accommodate our stay. The home is new and absolutely beautiful! The location is right on the lake and the view is amazing. With two of everything you couldn't ask for anything more. We will defiantly be back for the and with more family to share in the experience.Thank you for the hospital and great service. Tiffany Lopez the booking agent was wonderful and pleasant. The Donner Lake Chalet is our family vacation location!

Great house/poor management
We stayed for 4 days in July and had a wonderful time. The house worked out beautifully for our large family. The problem I've encountered is getting my security deposit returned. It's been 5 1/2 weeks since our stay several phone calls and emails and still no refund. Loved the property. Not happy with the rental agency
