This was a perfect location for my sister's 40th birthday party! It was like being at a nostalgic summer camp. A few things went wrong that were completely outside anyone's control (ex: a tree went down in a big wind storm), and the property manager was incredibly responsive and took care of things right away for us.

Excellent for large family groups, or even just couples. We stay here every year and have always enjoyed our stay. The place is cozy, clean and comfortable. Within walking distance to a good fishing spot on the river and a short drive away from China Bend boat launch. The host is always easy to get a hold of, and extremely friendly. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything one could need.10 out of 10. Would recommend.

Just the two of us but would be fun for a big group! Location was perfect- close to relative we were visiting in Marble. Party lights at night. Quite a pleasant place! Wish it was warmer out! Especially loved the big kitchen and shower building! Everything is well thought out and well maintained. Queen bed was good. Remember to bring your own sheets! And towels!

We stayed for my 40th birthday, and the property exceeded our expectations. It was very well stocked, great for our gathering, quiet, and in a beautiful area. We'll hopefully be staying again in the future.

Spent 8 days fishing and boating . This is by far the best place to stay and enjoy all lake Roosevelt has to offer. Cabins are cozy , property is amazing ! We seen deer , elk and turkey every day we were there. With a short hike to the river where you can catch tons of walleye and trout . This is our second year attending and had the opportunity to add some hot sauce to wall of sauce . Definitely a favorite vacation destination.

I really like this place its my 2nd time I stay. I really surprised when I come this time there wasn't clean. Kitchen supply, stove, shelves dirty and lots of flies. Mice poop(droppings) everywhere in the kitchen and in a cabins, they running everywhere at night we couldn't sleep. We used tents. It was the worst trip. Also all kitchen pots really bad looking need replace. We cleaned really good all place in and out so next group at list will not be feel as bad, but miceeessssss :(

We have stayed here several times with a large group of friends, this property has everything we need for a relaxing weekend away. Matthew has always been very responsive to any needs or inquiries

But not in a bad way. We all had our own space and had plenty to do - it was a great way to feel like we all able to take a retreat without losing the beastie comforts. And Matthew was very responsive and easy to reach.

Went to this property in the winter so it was cold. Would like to see this in the summer. Definitely enough room for a large group.

This place is nice for large groups. The only cons were the mass amounts of bee’s which is nature so what can you do? Also the dryer made our clothes smell bad but I think the owner could look into that and be an easy fix. The only other con was I believe I was over charged and not sure why? I wasn’t too happy with also being charged a cleaning fee when we left the place cleaner than when we arrived. But overall with a few minor things I would recommend this place for family’s.

Mostly positive. The kitchen was Not clean, however. Dishwasher was a disappointment, and the pool table is in sad shape. Btw, you have bothersome bees nest on the porch. Still, a great place.

Great for big families
Weather was lovely letting us enjoy all the outside beauty. Played lots of volleyball and wiffle ball. Luckily we were able to use the fire pits and enjoyed an outdoor movie ( we brought our own projector).

Lifetime memories!
We had the GREATEST time! It was the exact amount of comfort and rustic "roughing it" we were looking for. 10/10. We will be coming back and the only change we will make is staying longer. Thank you so much!

Expensive
Largest cabin had no heat so we couldn’t gather to open presents. Plumbing issues from first day, then lost heat and water in cook cabin on second to last day so we packed up and left a day early. Small cabins took 12 hrs to heat up and some never did. My daughter had to buy a space heater for her cabin because she had a baby. Overall it wasn’t a total loss. It was just a series of missteps and harsh weather. The cook cabin had everything you could wish for except a dishwasher which was there but not hooked up. The cabin with the bathroom had no hot water. I think considering the remoteness and weather extremes summer rentals would be a better choice unless some changes were made. I’m hoping to get some monies returned but haven’t heard a peep from the owner. Larry, maintenance guy, was very helpful.

Winter wonderland
We had an amazing time. The only downside was the sign to get into the property were hard to see at night and we didn’t have enough days off to stay as long as we would have liked. Overall amazing place to stay

Great time by all
Fun place for the kids to be able to run around, as well as have a bigger space to play in the pool room. Everyone had a great time. Loved the party lights :-)!

Great location
We enjoyed our stay although the fridge wasn't working properly and we couldn't use the bigger cabin with all the beds because the heat wasn't connected yet. Larry the maintenance man was a great helper and always willing to help out. This is a great cabin getaway.

Exactly what we needed :)
Our stay here was exactly what we needed... very relaxing time surrounded by peaceful nature, with all the perks of indoor plumbing, a comfortable bed, heat and a full kitchen. Very comfortable and Matthew was quick to respond when we asked to extend our stay by a couple of days. It was a perfect location for our lab to explore and play outdoors as well. It was great to have all the space for just the two of us (boyfriend and I), but would love to return with a larger group to play volleyball, enjoy the fire pits, etc.! Thank you so much for everything :)

Wonderful quiet getaway in beautiful country setting
My wife and I and our two pets were looking for a quiet private glamping experience and got exactly that here. While it does sleep 30, we enjoyed just being us. The kitchen is excellent, the bathhouse and main cabin (with queen bed) was very comfortable. The outdoor spaces are very well laid out (including volleyball/badminton net) with tons of places to relax in shade or sun. It didn’t get too hot or smoky when we were there, but the cabins seem very well insulated. Internet was fast and reliable, and we actually managed to do some remote work for our jobs while outside or in the kitchen. It’s worth noting that it’s not completely isolated - there are small farm-type operations on either side of the property. But it is definitely private. Very clear nights full of stars. Some migrating birds passed through the pear tree orchard which was a delight. Note that it was not totally clear how to find nearby hikes. You have to drive a bit and do a little research. We went to big meadow lake and little Pend Oreille NWR which are lovely. Northport town is small and quiet and has one park near the bridge. We look forward to coming back again sometime and further exploring the region.

Fun Group Getaway!
We were pleased with the property and had a wonderful time! We were a group of 12 (8 adults, 4 kids) - some who love camping and others not so much - and everyone agreed it was a great compromise. We rated cleanliness as a 4 simply because it's a country location and nearly impossible to keep everything spotless. The kitchen was well-stocked. We brought a lot of unnecessary items because we weren't sure. There were all the basic spices, kitchen equipment, laundry soap, bathroom soap/products, paper towels, toilet paper... There were fans in the cabins and we brought a few extra since it was over 100 degrees while we were there. With the fans, the cabins stayed cool enough during the day/night. We brought our boat and went fishing, waterskiing, and tubing on the river. Launched from the China Bend launch ramp which was about 10 min down the road. There's plenty of space for big groups to spread out and play or relax in different areas. All questions were handled quickly and we didn't have any issues with anything on the property. If you're looking for a rustic get-away without actually having to sleep in a tent and haul in all your camping gear, this is the place for you. We'd definitely go back.

First of all we have stayed here before. We knew what our expectations were. This year there was an infestation of ants! Ants were covering the table to the point no one could use it. A couple of our group went into town to get ant traps just so we could sit down. It helped. Second the maintenance has slipped. Screens with holes so the bugs were getting inside. The bed in the cottage was horrible. I don’t know if the bed frame broke but they put it on crates which makes the bed super high. My husband and I had trouble getting into the bed. Then the mattress is so uncomfortable we couldn’t sleep well. I woke every morning with my hips and lower back killing me. Last year we thought they were rewiring the large bunk/ game room with the wires hanging from the ceiling and only one light in the whole room. It was still that way this time. Obviously we were wrong. There is a general lack of maintenance and caring around the place. Super disappointed and we won’t be back.

Family Camp!
Our group of 12 family members had a wonderful time. The cabins were decorated so cute with different themes. Very close to many swimming and fishing areas. The main kitchen and bathroom area were well stocked. Everyone said it was the best camping trip we have had together!

It was a smokin' hot time!
First and foremost, we loved the campground so as you read through our list of feedback, remember that this is a lovely place to stay regardless of areas that could be improved.
FYI:
- When you are at camp, Larry is your man. Matt is amazing at coordinating everything, but Larry is on site and super nice.
- You are not close to direct water access -- but Evan's Campground is about 20 minutes south and is awesome for swimming and boating -- so be ready to drive a little.
Loved it:
Bunk house with plenty of sleeping room and pool table was a hit with our crew of 5-10 year olds.
Other cabins fit our large group of 25+ really well.
Morning and evening train was a highlight
Kitchen, showers, and bathrooms were AWESOME
Setting is perfect for the camping feel without hassle of bringing everything and the kitchen sink.
Could have been better:
- Toilet paper was low -- we had to go get some to make it through the week.
- Kitchen utensils weren't very clean. We didn't mind too much, but noticed that there was residue from previous campers.
This trip was our annual family camping trip. 10 adults, 13 children. We loved every minute of it and can't wait to visit again. Thank you Matt and Larry!
