About this house rental
Vacations should be filled with happy, fun-filled days. You know, Bluebird Days. Hopefully, this lovely five-bedroom home will make every day seem like a Bluebird Day! Tucked in the trees for a private setting sure to provide peace and quiet both day and night, there is plenty to keep everyone busy. Outside the house offers an outdoor hot tub, fire ring and plenty of yard for year-round fun and games. Inside enjoy WIFI, multiple TV’s, a fully equipped kitchen, central air conditioning, and just about all the cozy comfort you can imagine. The open floor plan on the main level allows cooks to be cooks and couch potatoes to be, well, couch potatoes. Get started on that book you always wanted to read or converse with family and friends by the glow of the indoor fireplace. The downstairs rec room is sure to be a hit for every age. Shoot a game of pool, try your luck at foosball, enjoy a game of cards or watch the game of the day in the incredibly fun and seriously spacious family room. There lots more to enjoy. The house was incredible. We had 10 adults and everyone had their own space. We made ample use of the game room and kitchen. The only downside was we were unable to use the firepit or fireplace due to a HOA driven fire ban in Old Timberline. Otherwise the week was great!

This is the first place out of about 8 we have stayed with VRBO to which we would absolutely return. Except for the dust on the roads getting to the house from the gate (it hadn't rained for a few days according to the tow truck driver) I couldn't think of another complaint, and that's something coming from our group! It was perfect.
Everything exactly as shown on the photos and the kitchen is well supplied.

We were a group of people who became friends while we were in graduate school at Marshall University back in the 1970s. We started getting together again about 5 years ago. We try to go to different places for our spring trip each year. I must say that Bluebird Day was one of the best places we have stayed in. It was very spacious and had bedrooms on the main floor which was really nice for those that don’t traverse stairs very well. The kitchen was very well equipped. The fire pit was great since the evenings were still a little cool and we wanted to sit outside. We enjoyed playing pool. There were several other games in the game room as well. I would highly recommend this home for rental.

WE HAVE BEEN RENTING THIS HOUSE FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS. WE ARE GOING BACK NEXT YEAR AS WELL AND WILL CONTINUE TO RENT THIS HOUSE. IT NEEDS A LITTLE MORE CLOSE AND DETAILED CLEANING BUT IS A GREAT HOUSE. ALWAYS RENTING THIS HOUSE OVER MLK HOLIDAY WEEKEND AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO. Bluebird Day never disappoints! It was the perfect place for our cousins reunion and offers a little something for everyone. The house was spotless on arrival. New owners have made some nice upgrades.The staff at Best of Canaan were able to get wood delivered to the house and as always were a pleasure to deal with. I have stayed at Bluebird Day more times than I can count. I plan to return again and again!

This is a huge house perfect for groups with plenty of space for R&R and outdoor enjoyment. The hot tub/fire pit set up out back is fantastic, as is the games room. The location is great for exploring/hiking/the ski resorts. The stay would have been 5 star all around if not for the mice running around each evening we were there. The management company sent someone to set traps, but didn't seem overly concerned. There were also mouse droppings in some of the kitchen drawers. I get that these things happen in the country, but more effort could have been made to reduce pests. We noticed a lot of dust in the property on mantels and fans, so perhaps additional attention could be paid to cleanliness.

This is a great house for a large group. It's true that the sofas, etc., need replaced, but we had great weather and were outside most of the time. The recessed lighting throughout the living areas badly need dimmer switches. The firepit and hottub were above average for rentals in this area, as was the supply of pots, pans, etc. For whatever reason, this house does not have any second-floor windows on the front side, so it is hard to get cross-ventilaiton on the second floor. The good news is that it got down into the 50s most nights even in mid-July and we stayed comfortable ven without AC. Would stay again.

But for those that do like tv, there’s one in every bedroom, loft and gameroom. Pool table was re-covered, which we love to play. New double ovens were wonderful to bake cookies. Kitchen is well stocked ...many newer saucepans and skillets and plenty of dishes. This house was clean. Grass was cut around the house which was nice for a nature scavenger hunt. Deer came right through the yard everyday. Ceiling fans in every bedroom and the great room. Hot tub was nice. Plenty of towels. Just a wonderful house that made our vacation that much more enjoyable. (Recommend Tip Top coffee shop in Thomas and Douglas waterfalls and Elakala Water falls.)
