This home is located in the middle of everything you might want to do outdoors in Canaan Valley, and set in the woods next to a tranquil stream. The home is spacious and very quiet. We enjoyed watching deer in the stream as we ate dinner. We were a disappointed in the amount of cleaning needed upon arrival, broken furniture, and the generally worn appearance of the interior. The hosts communicated a lot of information prior to arrival that made finding the home and checking in a breeze. Be prepared to drive your trash to a dumpster at a separate property miles away, wash and dry a load of towels, run the dishwasher, and strip the beds prior to leaving.

Beautiful property and home in and even more beautiful area. Easy check in , home was clean and spacious. Hot tub was a lovely addition. We would definitely stay here again..

The managers are great. Let us check in early and very responsive! The house needs a deep cleaning and all the wall plugs need looked at. Most of our plugs including the main bathroom did not work making it a bit difficult for three women to all get ready for the day! I did let the owners know and they said they would fix them. Other that that we truly enjoyed our stay.

Location is great. Near many hiking trails and water falls. House was fine. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, living area ample. Hot tub was really nice after a long day of hiking!!! We were there in June, but seems like a great spot for skiing!
4.7
We enjoyed our stay! Our intention was to spend a long weekend with family hiking and sightseeing. This home served our purpose very well! We loved the creek in the back of the house.
4.7
Enjoyed the peaceful extended weekend spent at Rippling Waters. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking. All bedrooms and main areas had ample space. Great place to escape from the hectic pace!

Amazing

It was a wonderful peaceful place for my husband and I to get away for a few days to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The cabin was clean and the location was beautiful.
4.7
The property was just as described, and very cozy inside. We enjoyed our stay, and would rent again.
4.7
The location is great! Backs up to a lovely stream and wooded area. Hot tub was a hit with my kids. The house is clean and has everything you need, although is very outdated and in need of renovation. Furniture was worn down. All in all, good rustic vacation!
4.7
The cabin was perfect for our trip. It was well stocked with everything we needed. The hot tub, gas fireplace, and bbq grills were top notch. Cleanest place we have ever stayed and one of the quietest with no sounds from traffic. The fire pit is very secluded and the sounds of the creek next to it are so peaceful! Great location near lots of hiking, too. We hope to come back!

Very nice place. Would rent again. Not enthused about hauling trash so far

Aside from being a little dated, this house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was great for visiting Blackwater Falls, Canaan Valley, and the Dolly Sods. Also Davis and Thomas.
The hot tub and fire pit by the babbling brook in the back yard made it extra enjoyable.
4.7
This was the best trip! The house was perfect for our family of 6 adults and a toddler. Absolutely loved everything about it! Thank you David for renting your home to us! It was divine!

This was a wonderful respite from TX heat. We loved sitting on the porch watching deer and listening to the bubbling creek. Comfortable and clean. So many trails to hike in the area!

The house was very well maintained and clean. The property is great, with the deck, hot tub, fire pit and babbling brook running through the back. When you are outside it feels like you are alone in the woods. About 15 minutes from the town of Davis. Family of 6 fit just right, two bedrooms upstairs for the kids and the master is on the main level. Plenty to do in the summer. We enjoyed horseback riding (Yokums in Seneca), caverns, white water rafting on the Cheat (BOA), hiking and exploring Blackwater and Dolly Sods and Caanan Valley. Sitting in the hot tub at night listening to the brook and watching the fireflies come out was great. The fire pit was also right next to the creek, enjoyed roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Hiked up the ski slope for stargazing one night. We had breakfast and lunch at the house most days, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Great info and communication from the owner, you can tell they have been doing this for a while and know how to make the home as welcoming as possible.

We loved the location, but most all we loved the creek. We would wake up to the sound of the water flowing down creek. Our grand babies loved playing in it all day.
4.7
Loved the babbling Brook and hot tub! House was nice and clean. The fire pit definitely needs attention!! Plan on bringing folding chairs. Only 2 old chairs down by fire pit so we had to carry chairs from deck back and forth.
Also was not crazy about having to drive our garbage 10 miles to the dumpster.
Overall it was very nice.
4.7
Quiet this time of year, parks were beautiful.
4.7
The place was in a nice location. Unfortunately, the hot tub did not work. We contacted the owner and he did try but did not work. We asked for some refund but were refused. We booked this house specifically for the hot tub. Was very disappointed.
When we arrived the grill also did not work. Owner did fix that. There were cobwebs and dust.
Did not meet expectations.

Did not stay!

Very nice property, was perfect for a quiet getaway off ski-season.

Stayed here twice now and was such an amazing experience both times, amazing location and such a great getaway.

A nice family getaway! Were hoping to get a day of skiing in but the weather did not cooperate completely! We could have skied Saturday but had already made plans to do something else that day. Enjoyed the hot tub and just hanging out together!
Lovely home! Thanks so much! Will be back!
4.7
Enjoyed everything about it
4.7
We loved the cabin and the mountain feel! The creek in the back, while sitting in the hot tub was the best scenery we could have imagined! It was easy to get to and not a hill, so every easy to manage while it snowed. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Rippling Waters -- the area hikes, towns and nightly hot tub soaks made for a perfect getaway.
4.7
Outdated, felt dirty, beds are very uncomfortable. Had a strange smell.
We left a day early because it was not the place for our family.
4.7
Lovely house with excellent access to hiking, skiing, and taking in the sound of the backyard stream while enjoying the hot tub. A excellent weekend getaway.
4.7
Great communication with property manager.

Very nice rental, King bed on main floor with laundry and 2 bathrooms. Kitchen and livingroom. We enjoyed the hot tub and the rippling creek near by, it was very peaceful, pleasant and relaxing.
4.7
Great location for hiking and golf. House had everything we needed
4.7
Very comfortable house. Unique.location on a mountain stream. Quiet location. We were all very happy there
4.7
Great space. Very clean. Just far enough away from other properties to feel somewhat private. Fairly close to Dolly Sods, Seneca Rocks, and Black water Falls.
Required us to do more clean up at the end than typical, but not a huge deal. (Had to wash and dry bed sheets and any towels we used and had to drive our garbage to a dumpster on a different street, ect.) Over all we had a great stay. Property Manager was very nice and helpful.
4.7
The entire property was well kept and stunning easy to get to and from yet felt remote enough to completely relax
4.7
They offer amazing Cabins, they are each unique you can find one that wows you. Dolly Sods wilderness is right there to go hiking. I recommend this place in summer as well as winter
4.7
Easy to rent. Beautiful setting. Quiet. Very clean. Our favorite part was hearing the rippling water while sitting around the fire pit at night.
4.7
The cabin was very homey and inviting . Any help or problem I had was addressed immediately . It had a creek in the back that was soothing and relaxing Every morning deer would come drink from it. I watched them from the hot tub that was really nice . The cabin is located close to the towns of Thomas and Davis. May I may I suggest Hellbender burritos. :) It is conveniently located near stores and gas station . And about 12 minutes from Black Water Falls and a few other site seeing places . I was not at all disappointed in my choice to stay . Would like to return again soon
