DAZZLING VIEWS OF THE PACIFIC OCEAN AND THE ALBION BRIDGE
This stunning custom home was built to take advantage of the ridge top views of the Albion River and Pacific Ocean. The great room and both the master and second bedroom have spectacular views of the ocean and the Albion River Bridge, the largest wood trestle bridge remaining in California.
We just installed a Starlink wifi system so our home is perfect for remote working!
Ideal for large families or groups, the home has an open great room with sectional and couch plus 2 corner chairs for perfect sunset viewing! We find many guests come to the Mendocino coast to attend or be in a coast wedding and prefer a home environment to a hotel. Dining table seats 8+ with additional seating of 3 counter bar stools off the spacious, fully-equipped kitchen. Renters remark how fully equipped the kitchen is for family cooking and holiday renting. 50” flat screen TV in great room plus 2 additional televisions, wifi and a Baldwin piano. There is a pool table, darts and a number of board games and puzzles. The area recently has added a Verizon tower for cell coverage and we have a landline with unlimited long distance.
We have a 220 volt car charger with a standard J1772 connector on the property for renter use.
Sleeping accommodations include queen beds in both master and second bedroom on main floor, queen in downstairs bedroom, two twins in a trundle/day bed set up in the game room, and carpeted sleeping loft accessible from ladder in great room with queen mattress.
There are gas fireplaces in both the great room and master. A large slate front patio includes a gas barbecue and a gas/wood fire pit with abundant seating. Bird feeders attract many varieties of birds to our ridge-top perch.
Hot tub/spa on raised deck off master along with Jacuzzi tub in master bath both afford ocean views.
Should power outage occur during storms, backup generator provides electrical power to entire house.
Home is 10 minutes south of the village of Mendocino, 30 minutes south of Fort Bragg, 15 minutes north of Elk, 5 minutes south of Little River. Nearby restaurants are Ledford House, Albion River Inn, the Heritage House and Little River Inn as you head north to Mendocino where there are many more fine restaurants, including Cafe Beaujolais. Nearby beaches include Albion River, Navarro River Beach, Big River and Van Damme. Home is ¼ mile off Route 1 with Albion Market and a Harvest market in Mendocino. The backyard was very large and had a fire pit. The inside was spacious and we enjoyed playing pool inside. Overall a very good place to stay and it was worth the money.

We absolutely loved this property! We had spend the weekend prior in Fort Bragg for my husbands memorial. We then came here for two nights to be together and heal. We couldn’t have picked a better location. Diane was wonderful and we hope to come back in the future!

We were here to celebrate my 75th birthday and my new hip replacement! It is such a comfortable and stunning home with surrounding views to match. Very well equipped kitchen. We stayed in quite a bit because it was just so much fun being there, especially watching the always active bird population coming in to check us out. The hot tub was totally relaxing and easy to use, even here the birds came to visit. We played pool in the sweet play room and just thoroughly relaxed in our stay. Would love to come back again. Thanks so much for allowing us the opportunity to visit. Michelle & Norm Groleau

Dianne was a great host and we enjoyed our weekend stay for a wedding in a nearby town. She was responsive and helpful. The house was great with a bathroom for each bedroom. There was kids bowls/plates and a booster chair for my children to use as well. It was more than enough for my family + in laws.

The house was everything we needed and a whole lot that we didn't need but absolutely loved. Patio views, hot tub under the stars, nicely stocked kitchen, cozy reading corner, comfortable beds, etc. etc. Would love to come back.

Had a great time along Mendocino coast with family. House is fantastic. Sons liked small pool table/room downstairs. Got good use of hot tub after long hikes. Kitchen amenities are fantastic. Evenings reading in front of gas fireplace/heater. Absolutely nothing to complain about!

I purchased our stay at this Albion home for a Christmas gift for me and my family. Why not gift oneself? Upon entrance to the property, “what to my wondering eyes did appear” but an idyllic setting and most inviting home. It couldn’t have been any cozier or well equipped for celebrating a most lovely time of year with those we love! All the small personal touches did not go unnoticed and were appreciated by all. My only criticism is that the I didn’t book the house for many more days! Thank you for the hospitality.

The view! This place has everything you need to be comfortable. We have come here for Thanksgiving for a few years and it is wonderful. The kitchen is well-stocked, the bedrooms clean and comfortable, the living area is really cozy for books or watching a movie, there is a fire pit and then a hot tub! You really cannot get better than this place in the area for our money. Thank you for having us back again!

Stunning view! All aspects of this property were beautifully appointed and beautiful! The home was stocked with all our needs while staying there this past week…. All we needed to do is bring we’re those items personal to us! The only regret is we didn’t manage to find time to use the spa or the BBQ, but I encourage others to do do because both were top notch! Everything was great!❤️

This is a very nice house with beautiful views when the fog lifts. Great access to the Mendocino Fort Bragg area and we had a great time three daughters in their 60s in my wife and I in our 80s.

This beautiful home surpassed all of our expectations. We spent 5 days here and wish we could have stayed longer. It was very clean, well stocked and fit 6 adults comfortably. The owners were friendly, prompt and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be back!

This was our last stay on a week long road trip through Northern California and honestly I wish we had stayed longer. This house was very clean, cozy and in a great location. Minutes away from several parks and the ocean can be seen from the living room.

We wanted our friends from the Midwest to enjoy their visit to the California coast. This home was probably the best choice we could have made. It was beautifully furnished, with comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, close to everything and a view to die for. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to the Mendocino coast.

This was our second year to stay at the Albion Property with friends. The house is clean, great location, views and the kitchen is stocked well with everyday needs. We had 3 kids and 4 adults, plenty of space for all of us to relax and feel at home. Thanks for another great vacation!

Awesome house! Excellent view of the river. House was clean, had lots of space and had everything we needed to feel at home. We liked the CDs and videos available to watch and the piano to play. Lots of unique little spaces like the nook above the living room and game room downstairs. Also we enjoyed the hot tub on the deck! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Our group of seasoned kayaking women stayed at this beautiful, well-loved home. Well stocked kitchen. Beautiful artwork and pieces through out the home. Wonderful view of Albion river and bridge and the ocean. Great communication with owners. They were very responsive to our questions. Good info posted in the house. House is warm and inviting.
There are 10-15 stairs to get into the home, so keep in mind if you have anyone who might find that to be difficult. Great location for paddling and hiking. Loved watching the birds at feeders on deck with food provided by the owners.

A VERY SPECIAL PLACE
The home surpassed our expectations!
There are countless special things about this house ...
1. THE VIEW ... our favorite place in the house was sitting in the comfortable chairs at the corner window overlooking the ocean with Albion Bridge in the foreground. Fog or no fog, there is so much to observe and enjoy ,,, the pacific ocean, little creatures rollicking in the yard (we saw 2 foxes and a cute little bunny), the coastal landscape with all the trees and the birds, to name a few. ** Be sure you fill up the bird feeders on decks (which the owners so generously provide the seed for), and you will have days of fun seeing all sorts of birds visiting for a little snack.
2. MAIN FLOOR LIVING SPACE - ideal for time spent with family / friends enjoying the views from all the windows, ample comfy seating, large table for meals together and fun games (we brought games, but they have so many, it was not necessary). They also have a great selection of movies for family movie night.
3. KITCHEN - was clean, easy to work in and had all the necessities needed, and beyond. They also provide enough paper towels and such, so you can settle in and enjoy as soon as you arrive. Thank you for that, Dianne and Gary! That isn't always the case at many rental properties.
LOFT - was super fun and special! Nice use of space in the home, and the kids LOVED it!!
BEDROOMS - ALL were comfy and clean. Nice bed linens and plenty of bath towels, etc Master bed and bath were particularly nice. Beautiful views to wake up to. Quiet and peaceful!
SPECIAL EXTRAS - Jacuzzi on deck off main floor with the best views (in good repair, easy to use).. Fire pit area at front of house gives you a whole other experience with its lovely garden setting and has lots of seating for a fun night of visiting with your family / friends. Game room downstairs is nice extra space for the kids to hang out. The home is centrally located to all the area has to offer.
OWNERS - Amazing people! Dianne and Gary are easy to communicate with and accessible. They are detailed oriented in all ways ... in communication and the care of their vacation home. It is easy to see they have put so much love and care into this home. I am grateful to owners like this, who generously "share" these little slices of heaven for others to enjoy some valuable time with loved ones, to relax and create lasting and treasured memories.

Exceeded Expectations
Beautiful property, beautiful location. Perfect for our family of 6. We spent time at the house and touring the area. Mornings outside on the front porch/fire pit were perfect for planning out the day, drinking our coffee and watching birds! Evenings in the hot tub and watching the sunset were like something out of a fairytale. We've been let down by properties before, NOT THIS ONE. It's AHHHMAZING! There are coastal views, beach areas, plenty of things to do within a short drive, we ate at Noyo Harbor a few times and that was a fun, non-fussy atmosphere! Mendocino is nearby and we spent a few afternoons there! LOVE IT! We're already planning our next trip!

We gathered here for a magical Christmas. Perfect location close to Mendocino in Fort Bragg. Great hikes and beautiful coastal views everywhere. Many of the local restaurants were closed, but easy cooking in the well appointed kitchen.

A gorgeous relaxing retreat
This place is just the absolute best! Plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out and relax. The house itself is super clean and all amenities are nice and new. It has a beautiful view, and is a walk away from a good store and around the area. Such a special place.

Great Weekend Getaway - Kid Friendly!
We had a wonderful stay at this house! Perfect size for 2 families (4 adults, 3 children). Everyone had their own space. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies, amazing views, fire pit was perfect for the cool evenings, home was easy to access and located near many activities. Communication with owner was prompt and always friendly. Highly recommend! Thanks for a great stay!

We had the pleasure of staying at this amazing property about four years ago, and fell in love; it’s a uniquely designed and beautiful home in a spectacular location - close to Little River, with easy access to Mendocino and points north.
