The cottage is located on a point with a lighthouse in a very active beach town. Walkable to several beaches and the downtown restaurants and shops. Hosts live next door. Didn’t intrude but were available for questions. Very nice people!

I had a great week staying here for my vacation. The furniture was cozy, the natural light at the front of the house was great, the ocean breeze kept the worst of the heat away for most of the week, and the bed was big and comfy. The owners live closeby and were very responsive to questions and requests for help. The house is a very short walk to the rocky shoreline where the lighthouse stands. It was also a remarkably quiet area for being so close to beaches. Overall; a bright, clean, and cozy summer getaway. Highly recommended!

I have stayed twice at this property and both times perfect! In fact my family is planning to book next year as a holiday let when they visit from England. The neighborhood is friendly and walkable with lovely sea views. I would highly recommend this property as a relaxing getaway.

We thought the stay was just the right size for us. Having never experienced Boston before, we wanted the freedom of coming and going as we pleased using a rental car. This stay was the center point of everything we wanted to do and go. We visited Boston, Salem, Plymouth, and Rhode Island. The downside was the lighthouse in the picture was being renovated, so we couldn't go inside, but we did get a lot of nice sunset pictures. The town of Scituate along this stay and the neighbor was very clean and the neighbors were friendly. If you want to have a rental car for your travels in Massachusetts, this is a nice and quiet stay.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Extremely comfortable Cottage with lots of nice amenities. We picked this Cottage because it was Pet friendly. A dog bowl and a gate to keep our dog safely on the porch were even provided! There is a ramp into the Cottage, which is terrific for an older pet. Morning walks to Scituate lighthouse are a favorite memory! We want to start house hunting in Scituate based on this beautiful vacation; such a charming community!

When a local builder did not deliver my home on time, I needed a place to stay to be onsite everyday. This lovely one bedroom cottage was the answer. Cozy and comfortable. With the full kitchen and stove I had the option to make my own meals or enjoy many of the local restaurants!

This was a comfortable, cozy cottage that was perfect for my stay in Scituate while visiting with family and friends. Diane is friendly and accommodating. She lives behind this property and was available to answer questions and also respected our privacy. The cottage was a good size for us, and was just a few houses from the Scituate Lighthouse and jetty. We were up each morning watching the beautiful sunrise. Thank you to our host for helping to make this visit relaxing and fun.

Plenty of room for 3 / 4 adults.
Location so close to town, restaurants and the lighthouse!

This little cottage is everything you need and then some! There is a beach within very close walking distance, a jetty to walk and fish, a quaint New England lighthouse and a perfect harbor to either watch boats or kayak if you so desire! On top of that, the cottage has a very comfortable bed, two pull out couches, and all the kitchen amenities you'd want. It is a perfect place to disconnect and relax...the only drawback is that the internet is very good so you might feel obligated to check your email now and again! The hosts are really nice, super responsive and respectful of your privacy. If you are looking for a cute, cozy place this is just right!

We had an amazing two weeks at this charming cottage, which is just steps to the lighthouse and a short walk to the shops and restaurants of Scituate Harbor. Diane and Gerry were gracious and accommodating hosts, and we will certainly be returning!

Absolute Perfection All Around!

This property was amazing value and in a great location. Diane and Jerry are the nicest hosts and were never intrusive but always available when needed. The space is detached from their main home and a large enough space so that my partner and I could both work during the weekdays without being in each other's way. It was so nice to walk the dog to the lighthouse in the mornings and walk to the neighborhood beach on the weekends. I can't recommend this place enough! Scituate itself is the perfect balance between coastal town with a vacation feel without the crowds of the cape.

We stayed at this property for 5 nights with two of our kids and it was wonderful! We had plenty of space and a perfect location. We were also there on a hot week so we really appreciated the air conditioning units. Diane is a great property manager - always quick to respond and readily available if you need something. We would definitely stay here again!

I wish we could have stayed longer! I visited for a few nights, just me and my dog, and the cottage was absolutely perfect. Upon arrival, it was bright and clean and welcoming. The kitchen has everything you might need to cook (I got takeout from local seafood restaurants half the time, cooked the rest). The bed was very comfortable, and I slept wonderfully. We walked down to the lighthouse (only a few doors!) each morning and evening to watch the sunrise and sunset. There's also a beach by the harbor nearby where I took my dog swimming each day. It's easily walkable from the house unless you're an arthritic 12 year old retriever, but there is parking next to it if need be.Diane is such a kind host! In a hurry to go take photos of the supermoon (huge and pink!) over the water, I locked myself out on evening, and she responded immediately to my panicked text. I'm in the middle of studying for my boards, so I was very glad to have solid internet access while there, and I must admit that as someone who does own a tv, I was rather fascinated by the whole Roku thing and probably watched more television than I should have! But, studying, reading, or watching tv, the cottage was a wonderful place to lounge on the sofa after our walks, quiet and peaceful. I really hope to go back soon!As I said, my dog is older and so I'd asked Diane beforehand about accessibility (he can't climb stairs). So, in case anyone is wondering about that, the cottage is pretty accessible to someone with mobility issues. There's only one step up from the porch to the cottage and one step from the hallway down into the bedroom. So thank you so much, Diane, for letting me and Henry come visit! It's such a beautiful place, and I really appreciate being about to bring my big baby with me!

My Sister, Dad and I stayed here for the first two nights of our trip. The cottage is located near the end of the spit just short of the lighthouse. You can glimpse the beautiful view between buildings, and it's just steps away. The town is quaint and lovely. The cottage, while simple, was clean and sufficient for our needs. There were a few things that I would mention: The mattress on the single bed in the living room is old, not very comfortable, and could use updating. The Bed in the the hideabed has the usual bar and we couldn't find sheets that fit, but we used a blanket and it was fine. The biggest thing is that there really is no comfortable seating in the living room. The couch is old and ok...but not great. There are wooden chairs around the table. Other than that you had to sit on the bed which is on wheels and rolls away from the wall if you are using it as back support. A nice chair would make this place so much more comfortable! We had a wonderful trip and really enjoyed Scituate!

Small rustic cottage very comfortable was the ideal spot to stay for a family wedding at the yacht club. Owners are awesome people friendly and helpful but not bothersome at all. Thank you!

What a great month! People thought we were a little crazy bringing our newborn and large dog to the beach for a month, but this cottage was absolutely perfect. The dog loved his morning and evening ocean swims and crab adventures, and we loved waking down to the harbor and relaxing on the porch after the baby was asleep. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Diane and Gerry were incredibly hospitable, and we look forward to returning again soon.

We were looking forward to this long getaway weekend and we were not disappointed. What a lovely cute cottage. It was nice and bright and clean. It had everything we needed and more. What a relaxing and restful time. Diane and Gerald were very accessible(should we need them) and very helpful in directions and things to see in the area. I love the ocean and being across the street of Scituate harbor and the Atlantic in the rear with the light house almost next door---well it was the best!!!! We would definitely rent this cottage again-------any season------maybe a week next time.

This is the perfect cottage for a vacation, a quick get-away, or like me a comfortable place to stay for
my Grandson's wedding. This cottage is exactly like it is pictured. Diane and her husband were perfect hosts.
They are available if you need anything. The location is the best. Walk to the Scituate Lighthouse and the beach.
Look across the street from your cute porch with wicker chairs and view the harbor and boats. Best of all the sea breeze
I would recommend this adorable cottage to anyone. Thank you again, Diane and Jerry. Am planning to come back next
summer for a longer stay.

The first day we got there we had no problems with anything and enjoyed our first day by going to the Lizzie Borden house and a ghost tour of Salem. However the next day was cut short because the owner texted me and complained about our dogs barking, which they were not when we rushed back, cutting our tour of Salem short. The next day we brought our dogs with us to Boston and everything was going fine until that night. My mom and I walked our dogs late at night and they peed on someone else's yard which we did not foresee as a problem. Yet we had one neighbor follow us back to our rental and harass us about this and telling us that we should only allow our dogs to go to the bathroom only on our property, but there is barely a yard to speak of. Or we had to walk a mile to public grass lands to let them do their business. He also told me that we need to learn how to live in a civilized society. I have never been assaulted like this before and the owner did not disclose this information. The lawns weren't even manicured they were dead grass or shells or rocks. This would have never had happened here in our neighborhood in New Jersey. I planned this trip for 5 years and it was ruined by staying at this rental. It was not worth the money we spent on it at all.

This cottage was as advertised: clean, affordable and in a great location close to the harbor with everything you need. We did not need to contact the owner for much, but when we did, Diane was very responsive. We would definitely return.
