The Ravenna View home is a cozy and comfortable second floor apartment with a private entrance off the alley way. The neighborhood is fast enough away from downtown to avoid most of the hustle and bustle but still close enough to you district to not feel like you're out in the suburbs. It was well appointed and well stocked (though now it's down one bowl from my stay). My pup loved to stare out the window at all the squirrels and birds and rabbits and quickly became very comfortable. A great stay overall cut too short by the powers that be

We loved the area of the apartment. It was close to bus routes. We absolutely loved Seattle.
The apartment was furnished well although it was a little run down. The advertisement showed that the apartment had AC. It has individual units. Only one could run at a time with nothing else because the breaker would trip. It was a little concerning that there were so many things wired to one set of breakers that it would trip when’s night light would come on automatically at night. (We unplugged out after the fourth night and give that helped.) It turns out there were two bedrooms with AC units and a washer and dryer. There was also only one smoke detector in the whole apartment.

Lovely property in a neighborhood convenient to campus and easy access to highways. While a quirky layout, it was nice to have space to spread out. Only issue was the stairs in the bathroom - difficult to navigate in the middle of the night.

Great Seattle neighborhood. Experienced hostess. Apartment needs a furniture refresh. Visited during heat wave, no AC. Construction next door and across street-very noisy in the AM. Bring additional TP should you need it.

Really enjoyed the light from all the windows in this apartment. The only things I wish I'd realized beforehand is that you walk through one of the bedrooms to access the rest of the unit (awkward in terms of privacy for our sister-in-law). Plus you must be ok with frequent stairs.
But overall a pleasant unit in a well-established neighborhood with easy access to much of Seattle.

It was a great place to stay while visiting our daughter and her husband. They live nearby in a very small apartment, so having space for us to be able to hang out was great. There was plenty of space in the living room for all of us to be comfortable, including a table that expanded to have room for all 5 of us to eat and play games. We ordered a heat and serve Thanksgiving dinner from 13 Coins and the kitchen was plenty big enough for us to store everything in the fridge and heat everything for dinner. The apartment does have a lot of stairs, so that's something to be aware of, and it has lots of storage space. It was a lovely house and garden and a quiet, safe neighborhood.

The apartment was perfectly located in a quaint neighborhood and very close to University of Washington, University Village and downtown Seattle. Coffee shops and restaurants were within walking distance & absolutely everything was provided for us including laundry products to use in the washer and dryer, soaps, shampoo, coffee, everything you would find in a more expensive hotel room. Joy was a delight to meet. She was available to answer questions but also gave us complete privacy. We highly recommend the apartment but you had better make your reservation quickly; the place rents out fast. Robin Smith

My husband and 2 year old stayed in the apt for a 4 day sightseeing trip.
The location was great - we had our own car and found it very convenient. We found Seattle quite congested and busy, and it was nice to have quiet neighborhood to "escape" to, but still be within 15 minutes of Pike Place Market, etc. The apt is probably about 10 minutes from 5 freeway, just a couple exits north of Seattle Center, etc. It's in a nice, safe area (with a nice private school down the block) with plenty of restaurants and shops (near Whole Foods grocery store & Safeway) within a short driving distance.
The apartment itself was just kind of average. Liked the big tub, garden, and kitchen.
Didn't like that the bedroom is not completely closed off from the rest of the apartment. There is a door, but the wall does not go all the way to the ceiling - there is an open area of about 3 feet between the top of the wall and the ceiling. So, the bedroom is not closed off from sound from the rest of the apartment - tough when trying to put our daughter down early for bed.
The bed squeaked quite a bit - to the extent of waking us up when someone rolled over.
This is unusual for Seattle, but we visited in August, and the apartment was SO hot in the afternoon/evenings. Even with all the windows open, it was very warm. I found myself sweating every evening while trying to relax and watch TV. (Overnight, it cooled down so mornings were pleasant).
Finally, the apt lacked any kind of "directions." Washing machine didn't work without sticking a wooden rod against it to keep the door shut, but there was no signage- we didn't find out till the owner called us back 7 hours after we called. Couldn't get hot tub jets to work. There was a "welcome card" but it simply gave our bill and what to recycle - nothing about how to work anything in the apartment, local restaurants, etc. We would have loved that info, since we never met the owner.
Glad for the location and great price, but prob wouldn't choose apt again for us personally.
For a family with older children, or a single couple, visiting NOT in warm August, it would probably work out fine! The price was a LOT cheaper than any other lodging we could find in Seattle, so it would be worth it if you'll be out all day sightseeing - a good place to return to in the evenings.

A lovely apartment in a superb location separate from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Walk to bus to downtown, parks, charming restaurants, cafes and coffee shops. I would definitely stay here again upon return to Seattle. Owner is simply lovely and hospitable.
