The cabin was clean and cozy and had everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed using the grill and the canoe. Loved sitting on the deck on the water taking in the beautiful view and seeing the loons. Kathy was a gracious host.

It needs cleaning, repairs, and TLC. The location is good for skiing and great for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking and lake activities!

very sweet little cabin -well equipped. Bathroom would be a tight space if you are overweight. Lack of adequate parking space means having to back out of driveway -a bit tricky. Beautiful setting!
Would allow time to enjoy it more with an 11 AM or noon check-out. Had to pack up and rush out early to get the breakfast at the Outdoor Centre.

My husband and I have been traveling around New England for 2 weeks, staying at various places along the way, and this was by far the best place we stayed, if not the best in all of our travels throughout our lives. The cabin is cozy and private, the bed was very comfortable, internet was great, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make meals, but what blew us away was sitting by the lake at night and in the morning. We wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy some water activities. We dreamed about coming back for at least a week, and likely will when I retire and have more time to travel. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We absolutely loved it!

The guest cottage is the perfect cozy hideaway in the woods! It's cute as can be, very comfortable, and equipped with everything you might need. The lake right outside is the best, and the area is beautiful. Kathy was a lovely host, very responsive and she made everything easy!

What a great location, once you get there. Good directions from host but complicated roadways and a narrow, long drive to reach the cabin.
But the small deck on the water is just great. Saw and heard loons in the distance.

Kathy was an excellent host, and the cabin was tidy and comfortable.

This was our second time staying here and we'd be happy to go back anytime. We've been winter guests. We enjoy the easy access to Craftsbury Trails and Outdoor Center. Being right on the lake is beautiful. The cabin is very cozy with woodstove, full kitchen, hot shower and comfortable bed. The hosts set things up to very accessible and private. They also are very easy to communicate with and reply to messages promptly. They have always been very accommodating to us. There are not a lot of places to stay in the area, especially during Crastsbury events, and this place has been a hidden gem for us.

Great place to stay if skiing at Craftsbury, 500m across the lake, and ski-in, ski-out. Enjoyable!

Thank you Kathy for another amazing weekend in Craftsbury!

We only stayed one night but had a nice stay, spending the night after visiting a cut your own Christmas Tree Farm. We found the cabin clean. The cabin is tucked away in the woods next to a lake with access to a cross country ski trail. The place was in view of the owners and yet quite private. We think we'd like to come back and explore the area with our kayaks during the summer months.

Vintage cabin tucked away in a beautiful location on the water. A bit off the beaten path, but there is a general store if anything is needed. Kathy provided wonderful recommendations to us when we arrived.

Cabin was delightfully off the beaten path but with easy access to craftsbury outdoor center and other nearby towns. Beautiful property on a beautiful pond. Highly recommend!

Such a cozy little cabin! Everyone was spot on with their reviews. Although we spent most of our time running around, we enjoyed our stay. Loved the view. Wish we had more time to actually spend on the lake. Kathy was very warm and helpful. Hope to be back. Thank you!:)

A lovely weekend spent with my Mom while doing a class at Sterling college. Relaxing, cozy, vintage VT cabin was charming and just what the doctor ordered for a short stay. The hosts were communicative and the location beautiful and removed from the hustle and bustle. We’ll be back!

The property is just next to the lake and has it's own jetty and canoe (which was fun!) Set in the grounds of the owner, there is privacy and a peace. The cabin is quite authentic and full of character.

The property was charming, a snuggly place to relax for a few days and forget about everything.
It had just what was needed for simple living
Lake was prestine and there are bike and walkings trails all over
We had fun and our Host was great checking in with us when we arrived

This property was everything my fiancé and I wanted it to be: secluded, quiet, quaint, and cozy. We LOVED the private dock at the end of the steps outside of the cabin. We had access to a canoe and the host's private swimming dock.
Hosmer Pond (I would call it a lake) was beautiful and crystal clear. The Outdoor Center across the lake was slightly noisy in the early evening, but everyone calmed down by 9:30 or so. It didn't bother us.
The cabin itself is adorable and cozy. The kitchen is small but we were very comfortable cooking our breakfasts every morning and enjoying our morning coffee on the little dock.
Our only suggestion would be an update on the bed. The mattress needs to be replaced, and the linens and quilt covering could also be updated. However this was not a deal-breaker for us. The cabin was lovely and we are planning to return.

Nice cabin, quiet area
We were in town for a bike race and enjoyed staying in this cute little cabin. It was a quiet corner of the lake, we enjoyed the canoe, sitting on the dock, and a swim to cool off.

Delightful cabin getaway!
Ted was very helpful in making sure we were set up with everything we needed, and the property itself was gorgeous and wonderfully tranquil, very cozy and quiet for those looking for a slower pace getaway!

The best parts were the dock and fireplace with ample firewood. The location is wooded and lovely. Kathy was friendly and welcoming, and gave us our space. The bed was uncomfortable, though, and there was an odd smell in the bedroom. Don’t leave food out, we had a mouse visitor in the evening.

Staying here, even if it was for only a night, was still a pleasant experience. It reminded me a lot of the cabins by the lake my dad used to rent when I was a kid, with the 70’s design. My only complaint was that the bathroom was a little cramped, but I can easily live with it. Other than that, very clean and well taken care of! I would stay here again.

The cabin is just as they describe— off the grid. If you want nature and solitude this is your place. It’s remote but easy to find. Wish I could have spent more time sitting on the dock listening to the loons. Highly recommend.
The owners are friendly and accommodating.

What a great place to unplug and unwind! Beautiful, quiet, and private location to enjoy some down time with plenty of options for adventure. We took advantage of canoeing Great Hosmer, biking at Craftsbury Common and Kingdom Trails, and we got some craft beers and pizza from Hill Farmstead and The Parker Pie Company to boot! Ted and Kathy are wonderful people and we hope to return in the future!

Quaint cabin in the woods
Ideally located, quaint cabin in the woods adjacent to a small with access to xc ski trails and canoeing in the summer.

Cozy XC Weekend
The cabin was perfect for myself and one other person. You can basically xc ski right onto the Craftsbury trails on Hosmer. The cabin was clean and has a cozy old school vibe. The property is quiet and Kathy/Ted were easy to communicate with.

Nice quiet getaway
Had a great time relaxing. Nice cozy cabin was just what we were looking for. Kathy was a great communicator and host. Excellent access to trails of the Craftsbury Outdoor Center.

Loons come free
This is one of only a handful of cabins on a fairly large lake, which I had almost to myself. The loudest noise I heard was loons. The owners are very nice. Note that this is pretty remote, a couple miles from the nearest pavement, but worth it if you want to "get away."

Great place to get away from all distractions
Our getaway at Kathy and Ted's was very relaxing.

Quiet and Energizing
The cabin was nestled into the woods overlooking great Hosmer pond. Wonderful and engaging hosts who live on the larger property. it was so amazingly quiet and the air just so fresh. Just energized us. easy access to the Craftsbury outdoor Center, biking and so many VT mountain trails to explore nearby. It was such a nice respite from the craziness in the world right now, but close enough to humanity for store and farmstand access, access to running, biking and hiking.
